Black Flag > Syndicate > 2 > Revelations > Brotherhood > Rogue > 1 > 3 > Unity

Black Flag > Syndicate > 2 > Revelations > Brotherhood > Rogue > 1 > 3 > Unity

We can all agree on this right?

Is syndicate really that good?

1 = 3 = Unity >>>>> everything else

no

Why did you like Black Flag?

and if its because of the ship system, why is Rogue so much lower?

Why does everyone hate Unity? I've only played 1, 2 and Black Flag

Rogue > 1 > 2 > Unity > Black Flag > Brotherhood > Revelations > Syndicate > literal shit >>>>>>>>> 3

>Really liked Prince Of Persia when i was young
>This franchised replaced it and proceeded to make a yearly game like CoD to make the concept stale as bread
>Even if we get a new PoP it will feel boring as hell because i've already played this.

Fucking hell, i honestly don't know how a game can be as boring and formulaic as AC, play one and you've played them all

Unity is actually decent, only let down by the story. Best stealth game in the series.

Reddit memed about the glitches a lot.

Because it's sexist.

I don't know, the combat animations feel unfinished. The plot is predictable and boils down to Muh Elise, Muh dead dad.

The Caribbean is objectively superior. Brotherhood is the best game in the series, though.

Buggy as shit on release, boring MC.

Its got the best fombat imo, you feel most like an assassin and not a one-man army like in other games.

2 and brotherhood are my favorites, series got tired after that and Ezio was always my favorite. Revelations was the last one I bothered to buy at all, the rest played, though not completed, in other ways.

first one was bad, but it was a new a game that didn't quite know what it was doing yet. it's a passable and the story was interesting. the series hit its stride in the second games. i did like ac3 despite the story being retarded. most hate for ac3 comes from butt hurt britcancer by the way. black flag was neat although basic. they could have improved a lot. why didn't blackflag get the ac2 treatment?

North Atlantic was objectively better actually. Felt harsh and gave you a feeling of being alone at sea.

1 is so fucking dated its hard not to put it last.

The game was straight bad and I only played it after Revelations.

Even at release the game must've been shit. It's ugly and boring as fuck and I don't know how it spawned the beauty AC2.

2>Brotherhood>Revelations>Black Flag

Everything else is liquid shit

2

That's it. The others seriously are not worth playing at all. 1 might be one of the worst AAA games I've played

Brotherhood>2>Black Flag>1>Revelations

Haven't played any others. and Revelations wasn't terrible but I played it right after I came off the hype of finishing brotherhood (always late to the party for some reason with Asscreed) and it while it was nice ending Ezio and Altair's stories it also shat all over the Truth sequences from the earlier onces with a shitty subject 16 and shat all over Lucy's death while doing so without a real modern day segment. Animus Island was ass, the whole game reaks of their budget going to 3 instead. Inside the animus they introduced almost nothing the hookblade is lame, bomb crafting is meh. Constantinople is a cool setting, I like old Ezio and his waifu but the templars in this game were a huge step down from the pope.

and I liked the desmond storyline and was miffed to hear 3 killed him off, especially because it makes the purpose of the Ezio games, to train Desmond, pointless.

It was fun as fuck during its time simply running around killing villagers

They're all shit games with clunky as fuck controls

I dunno senpai, when I started learning French it helped a tonne, loved where it was set too. Tbf, I did get it after fixes.

Solid game, good stealth, contrived plot but better than all tbqh desu

Ya this, you're far squishier than Memeward Kekway the butt pirate. Far greater emphasis on stealth.

Revelations >2 >Black Flag >Black Flag >3 >1 >Haven't played anything else.

I don't get the love for Black Flag. It was just a tacked on really simple pirate game to an otherwise awful AC game. Story was awful, quests were 90% tailing shit, islands were boring to explore. The painfully simple pirate mechanics can't save that I thought.

As for putting Revelations so high, it's because it's pretty much exactly like 2 and Brotherhood but with more shit in it, and less Desmond. And had a great city.

what's so bad about 1?

Stopped playin Black Flag after 3 hours because it was shit
don't get all the love it gets, read the book though.
lol

It's very repetitive.

Though I guess in perspective with modern Ubisoft it's probably not that bad.

Still has some of the best atmosphere in the series. It just feel special in a way that the other games didn't.

Don't throw 1 in with all that other shit. 1 is one of the best.

Sup Forums doesn't think of games in context. It's parkour was the next evolution of the work ubi did on Prince of Persia. The mandatory side missions before the assassinations are repetitive and the guards are simplistic with only a few set options to evade them but on the whole it's not a bad game, especially if you like the modern day angle to AC because that's half this game. 2 is just so much better though because it improved on everything.

Implying revelations isn't shit.

First one was just all about kill these 9 dudes and there wasn't more.
Climbing and fighting was pretty worst, especially when you played it after the others.

If I play them in release order, will I enjoy 1?

Maybe. Worth a try.

Shit > Black Flag > rest of AC

Yes. It's still a good looking game even nowadays. And it is loaded with atmosphere.

In my opinion the writing is better than 2. Ezio was kinda endearing but cliched as fuck.

Why would we compare them in context though? A game doesn't become better because it used to be good, it's just outdated then.

Some games age much better than others and can stay good because they rely on elements that don't age as heavily (dialogue, atmosphere, level design), but AC 1 just isn't one of those games, it feels old and clunky when you play it these days.

Thanks anons.

I'll give it a go.

yes you should do, I got 1 just before 3 came out. Shit was fun until about half-way then got bored and bought 2. Occasionally I would jump onto one to get achievements and mess around.

If you do buy 1 dont finish the game or you will have to start from the very beginning and the ending isn't worth it.

>people actually don't think that Black Flag is the best
It's;
Black Flag = Rogue > Brotherhood > 2 > Revelations > 3 > 1

Haven't played the two newest ones. Heard they were B.

What was so good about it?

Ship Combat was sick, exploration was fun, the islands were neat to run around in and check out the varying wildlife (which, admittedly wasn't much, but w/e). Then you got the dense settlements, whaling, and the Legendary Ship battles. On top of all that, the story mission structure is varied enough and Edward is an cool bro-ham.

Only thing bad about the game that I can remember was the Fortress sections. They became a might bit tedious, especially when you had to jump onto land.

>brotherhood under 2
explain

It's a shame all of it were so barebones it was painful.

>story mission structure is varied enough
Oh come on.

It's all the same shit really.

Not him, but I just found it entirely forgettable.

I don't remember anything about it.

Rogue>Syndicate>Black Flag>2>Brotherhood=Revelations>1>Unity

Rogue was the last game I've played in the last gen, maybe I have the nostalgia because of that but I really liked its frozen setting

every video game is just a dopamine release in your brain.

Now that you mention it, I do recall a lot of repetitive plantation shenanigans.

Most of the missions were just you tailing a few dudes, or god forbid, tailing a ship.

It's repetitive as fuck, both levels and combat. It's ugly as hell and none of the hub areas were any fun to explore. The entire thing about "well done, you've earned the honour to be allowed to counter and riposte a blow" was so fucking retarded too.

I thought it was shit when it first came out and I still think it's shit now.

What's the consensus on Syndicate? I liked Unity after the performance got patched, but I kind of had my fill of the franchise afterwards. If it's more of the same I'll wait for a sale, but that setting makes my dick hard.

AC1 absolutely nails the atmosphere for me. No other AC has come close int terms of that--it's the only game where I actually felt like an assassin.

But the gameplay is really repetitive and stale, especially in comparison to some of the later games who improved many aspects of it.

I personally dislike Black Flag cause it kept deleting my saves.

By the time I found the right fix I'm already fed up

Black Flag > Rogue > 2 > Brotherhood > Syndicate > Revelations > 1 > 3 > Unity

That reminds me. I heard it they had a lot of online only content and it's not worth pirating? Any truth to that.

I dislike it because I thought it was boring.

I liked sailing

Brotherhood > 2 > Black Flag
Don't care about the rest game in series.

A lot of makes an Assassin's Creed game good is if the setting and main character are interesting. And if any fun mechanics are added.

Black Flag had an okay setting, an interesting main character and a fantastic mechanic (the sailing). Syndicate had a great setting, pretty good main characters and a pretty good new mechanic (the zipline).

Games like AC3 and Unity were shit because they just weren't fun. I at least like AC3 for trying a lot of things, but most of them were super shit (trading for your town and watching them do stuff or whatever). Plus Colonial America and Connor were both boring. Unity should have be great given it's sent in French Revolution Paris, but the city is so unfun. And Arno is basically Ezio-lite.

Rogue was okay to play through, but it added absolutely nothing to Black Flag. And the "you play as a templar!" was a gimic that of course changed nothing in terms of gameplay.

Stop being a pleb

You liked when AC1 was all about stabbing dudes in the face?

If so, you'll like Syndicate because it's about killing people again, while pretending to be a shittier version of Gangs of New York on the side.

>especially because it makes the purpose of the Ezio games, to train Desmond, pointless.
But it wasn't pointless. Without that training you wouldn't be able to climb the unfinished 1 World Trade Center, sneak through the stadium or fight your way through Abstergo.

>Syndicate garbage that high
just no
2 > 1 > Black Flag > Brotherhood > Rogue > Unity > Revelations > Syndicate > 3 > these 3 2D side scrollers > Liberation HD

>Syndicate > 2
What a shitty opinion

>syndicate anything other than total trash
>Rogue below Black Flag
>Revelations that high
What the fuck are you doing OP? Consider this:

Rogue > Black Flag > 2 > Brotherhood > 1 >Unity > 3 > Revelations > Syndicate

Anyone gonna watch the movie?

Quick, post the best shanty from both BF and Rogue

This.

>Black flag
>An Assassin's Creed Game
What did he mean by this?

Maybe thats why its much better than more than half of the series

Black Flag >>> Everything else

Why is Rogue lower than BF? From mechanical standpoint Rouge is just BF with more mechanics.

1 was amazing for its time, but when you actually take a look at it the game was incredibly linear and simple. Every mission was basically the same with little variety.
I haven't played Rogue or Syndicate, but this is how I'd rank the others.

Black Flag > 2 = Brotherhood > 3 > 1 > Revelations > Unity
Did not enjoy Revelations, I can't really explain why either it just wasn't a lot of fun. Enjoyed 3, but no where near as much as Black Flag or 2/Brotherhood

AC threads always hurt me because the series can only go downhill and never return to its peak like brotherhood. I was really into the lore and story.

For it's time it looked incredible

This. The AC game with the least bit of AC in it, is ironically the best.

Syndicate above Unity is confirmation of pleb.

Unity is hated by people who've never actually played it. It's the best Assassin game since 1.

AC threads are pretty chill most of the time though. For an AAA series we can discuss it pretty thoroughly with little shitflinging.

Last time there was was a shitfling was during Syndicate's reveal of the new intro disclaimer.

It was also broken as fuck at launch.

Not really, they took out undersea adventures and a bit of a graphics downgrade.

The only good thing about black flag was the ship stuff and it would've been better if they'd just focused on and expanded that without all the assassin bullshit

Yeah, fell in love with AC1 but that was because I wasn't an avid gamer and rarely had any game that wasn't a first person shooter.

I think we SHOULD all agree that:

As2 > AS 1 >>>>>> AS 3 >>>>> stopped playign after this because what little semblence of a story shit the bed and there's no point anymore because it's trash.

Then Black Flag on its own because shanties are cool.

I had a lot to love about Unity as much as I had to hate it with a passion.

Then Syndicate existed and now I kinda hate Unity a bit less.

imagine buying games on launch like a good goy

Anyone here after playing Black Flag started Watching Constantine and Black Sails?

It's a wonder.

I need to get back into it. I stopped after the disappointment that was 3. I just wish they would stick with one protag for a bit like Ezio or Altair instead of jumping to different ones.

I would but my country would block it up until February.

I recently was marathoning a playthrough of all AC games.

Oh god, AC1 and AC2 were completely different in combat and enemy fighting styles, and AC2 didn't have instakill counters

>AC1
>AC3
>above anything

No. We shouldn't.

It was right beside Crysis in being looker games.

I love countering people with your fists. Especially the brutes.

When the hell are they going to release a new trailer? The last thing they released was a guy performing an IRL Leap of Faith.

Man I remember the reveals and people were going insane for it, we're coming out of the PS2 era and we're greated with graphics that, at the time, even a PC struggled to match (it didn't last long of course but that was a strange time) I remember thinking that there was no way such quality was possible.

How times change.

Bloodlines voice>AC1 voice>Revelations voice

Yeah. Somehow Unity got even worse publicity for its graphics because of what Ubisoft pulled off during Watch Dogs.

But they added
Assasinations on you (penalty for getting caught could have been harsher, but oh well)
Boarding your ship (with pretty big hit to your crew, which was good, because in BF you got to 100% and had to replace maybe 3 guys that got randomly shot at the end of the boarding)
Machine guns (to do something in between salvos)
And a lot of qol improvements like being able to teleport from an treasure island (swimming back to your ship gets old pretty damn fast)

And on the subjective part I think that story arc of "May we remind you that pirates were actually pretty bad people" was nice.

>Assassinations
I will admit that was good but the multiplayer warnings made it like easy mode, ruined the immersion.
>Boarding
You rarely get boarded because the hunters would have to actually ram you.

I actually had to stand around in one random part of the sea just to initiate a boarding.
>Machine guns
I don't recall this outside of Brotherhood

Honestly the one thing I liked about Rogue was the lore building from the letters scattered about, and the present day extras. It was otherwise an enjoyable if not lacking 60 buck expansion for Black Flag.
