> I was the biggest Witcher fanboy >shilled Witcher 3 endlessly on release >game was out and I could only play it at 20fps low settings >save enough money to get a good PC exclusively for this game because I never play graphically extensive games anyway >finally start the game a month ago >the writing is Bioware tier >the characters are simplified, whitewashed >all the major conflicts are black and white >not a hint of the gray morally complex world of the previous games >fedora tipping and SJW shit at every corner >the ending is a rushed disapointment
I seriously feel like killing myself right now. Thanks CDPR for being fucking douchebags and caring more about
>will this be too complicated or uncofortable for new players
instead of
>lets go all out and make a worthy ending to five books and two games
>I seriously feel like killing myself right now. I hope you do.
Juan Peterson
You absolutely should kill yourself.
Robert Turner
I hope you bought the DLC, good goy. Because they left the real ending there
Dylan Allen
>I seriously feel like killing myself right now. And nothing of value was lost
Jonathan Thompson
Now you can repeat the process with Cyberpunk in 4-5 years.
Nathan White
You make a lot of good points, but the best one is about how you should kill yourself.
Mason Howard
>>the writing is Bioware tier
Brody Cruz
It's just another western AAA game amongst many. It never wanted more than to bank in on the same crowd.
Anthony Peterson
>Because they left the real ending there Care to explain? If you mean Geralt waltzes off with Yen to his shack to retire, that was in the base game.
Zachary Bell
>whitewashed
How to tell if a post is bait.
Isaiah King
>IT'S THE [CURRENT YEAR] What did CDPR mean by this?
Henry Ramirez
I never played any Witcher game before and I though it was a pretty mediocre game. Gameplay was atrocious and the world design was terrible.
Never finished it since I got so bored with the main story, play for hours and I don't get anywhere near Ciri.
Bentley Powell
CDPR was never good. Witcher 2 had potential but its gameplay was unbalanced as fuck.
Juan Russell
Bioware classic games had actual compelling characters, unlike TW3.
Sebastian Howard
>the game will look almost identical on all platforms
Name FIVE (5) multiplats where the PC version looked significantly better than the console versions. You can't because, time and time again, you fuckers are being taken for a ride with false promises of "Ultra" settings which are just the settings consoles already use. Games are made for CONSOLES and CONSOLES FIRST, the fact a PC version exists at all should be a blessing.
Luke Young
You are a fanboy and thus you are trash, maybe if you spent time working instead of shilling here you could've had the game in good quality
>bioware tier You are retarded.
>fedora tipping sjw Still retarded.
And the last part just shows you still haven't grown up, thats okay but this is a 18+ site user.
John Richardson
Bioware at least wrote world conflicts that were a bit more complicated than MAGES GOOD, CHURCH BAD. NILFGAARD GOOD. RADOVID BAAAD
Carson Murphy
>people used to argue that W2 had better combat than DaS
William Kelly
Anyone has that CDPR forums post where a CDPR employee urges his drones to shill the game on Sup Forums and other sites?
Jaxon Sanchez
Any game at 4k 60fps
Jason Anderson
Well technically PC has hairworks aside from texture sharpening and overall texture filter. Good luck running it all together, though.
Leo Jenkins
Most ultra settings these days are things that aren't very noticeable but are nice to have anyway and do make a difference at points. Though you're right, devs make their games for consoles and generally don't give a shit about the PC version. I'm not sure if you're trying to say this is good or bad, but I don't think anyone should like games being made for underpowered hardware and only ever getting any upgrades after however long Sony and Microsoft want to drag a gen out.
Robert Lopez
CDPR shills will argue about the craziest things. Such as Witcher 3 being a better RPG than Fallout 4 when FO4 objectively gives you more customization and tools than Witcher 3. I don't even like FO4 but it's still the better RPG.
Hunter Martinez
>world design was terrible I can understand why you wouldn't like the combat, and I can understand that you wouldn't like RPGs enough to stand the mediocre combat to get to enjoy the other elements, but this sentence shows that your taste is just flat out shit.
Jack Jones
You are a disappointment for both your friends and family.
Jace Gutierrez
>the ONLY graphical advantage PC has over consoles is literally muh pixels
>I don't think anyone should like games being made for underpowered hardware
Behold, a 2016 PC game that is not held back by consoles.
Aiden Lee
>comparing The Witcher with Metal Gear Solid
What are these people smoking?
Levi Morris
>have their own purchasing platform with 0% taxing from store owners >Random old dying stolen cd-key store asks you to pay them a share for every copy sold while keeping the cost lower than your own store >WAH WHY DON'T YOU WANT YOUR FANS TO HAVE MORE BUYING OPTIONS YOU PIECES OF SHIT WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU
Is green man gaming really THAT desperate?
Angel Morales
Souls games have garbage combat either way though. Haven't played bloodborne though, it seems better than the rest
Lincoln Ross
>Any game at 4k 60fps Especially Rise of the Tomb Raider shows the difference in 4k.
that's because risings storm 2 is not coming out on consoles
Zachary Sanchez
NICE PASTA BRO
Chase Reyes
Read the little text with the CEO bitching about not being able to jew CDPR on the right and the pathetic attempt to include that as a negative.
Ryan Ross
I liked the game but I'll be the first to admit that the combat was pretty fucking shit.
Still, I kept playing for the atmosphere and story, I enjoyed my time with it. Side quests had a lot of detail in them too. Some of them felt like damn main quests. Also Olgierd best boy.
If cyberpunk can do the same world building, atmosphere and detailed side quests, then i'll enjoy that too.
Alexander Brown
He is right. Both Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 1 far trump anything CDPR has managed to shit out.
Easton Flores
Explain how am I wrong.
Bioware tackled similar stuff with Mages vs Church and wrote it far better.
CDPR mages vs church conflict was basically evil one dimensional religious people are really biggoted and hate progressive mages who are misunderstood freedom fighters.
Sebastian Gutierrez
>Souls games have garbage combat
Here is a pity (you).
Caleb Walker
>can't even play the game >shills it anyway >turns out the game is shit
Good, you deserve nothing less that complete and utter disappointment. Fucking neck yourself.
Jonathan Hernandez
The simple fact of AA, AF, and shader mods makes your argument so pointless. Ultra settings are noticeable though, even the consolized titles look better at ultra compared to consoles.
See: >TW3 >GTAV >Watch Dogs >MGSV >any Assassin's Creed All of these are high profile complete console ports yet they look much better on PC even without AA, AF, and shader mods.
Isaiah Ward
I don't really agree. Combat and game mechanics were pretty fun for me I would rate that 8/10.
World building atmosphere was one of the best in the industry, 10/10.
They really shat the bed with the writting tho, 6/10
Nathan Gonzalez
Witcher 3 isn't an RPG. It's a generic action game with some clumsy controls.
Xavier Russell
The world design of TW3 is objectively shit-tier, it's designed like a shitty MMO: the only real points of interest are quest markets, roads are small as hell and random bandits and monsters spawn everywhere.
It's like their only point of reference for making a game world was generic Korean MMOs.
Jaxson Wilson
Sad part is if VTMB ever got a sequel, you know it would be like the right picture.
p.s FUCK MINI MAPS
Kayden Martin
Personaly I don't care about the player aides as long as the game provides a lot of ways to complete objectives. If we get a Bloodliness sequel I would want improved stealth options and having the option to complete the game without being forced into combat.
Zachary Evans
>western RPG Really, what did you expect? The genre stagnated completely somewhere in the late 90ties. Apparently no one in the West got the memo that slogging through big worlds full of nothing is not fun in the slightest. People only used to put up with it because back in early 00s the advances in 3D graphics still appealed to the masses.
Ironically the Japanese now make better WRPGs than the West itself. Go play Dragon's Dogma or any of the Souls games and see for yourself.
David Wright
I think moving to consoles fucked WRPGs in its ass. When they were making PC-centric WRPGs, they were great. When consoles happened, the genre just turned into action games with inventory management.
Wyatt Stewart
ITT Amerifats & Blacks with no taste trying to convice people to eat shit like they do
Ayden Cooper
>Go play Dragon's Dogma
DD has good character customization and combat mechanics while everything else is shit.
Jeremiah Cooper
>wind's howling
I love Witcher 3, but damn it that made me giggle.
Camden Murphy
I will pick an actual RPG with great combat over a glorified movie with dialouge choices any day of the week.
Owen Nelson
Can't blame them for wanting to make boat loads of easy cash but I agree. Consoles have definitely pushed them back.
William Brooks
Some games need minimap, they most of the time improve them game For example Skyrim, could have used it
Kayden Hernandez
Meanwhile the Japs are used to making console RPGs and therefore for them moving to the multiplat space didn't really hurt them as much. And also because in Japan there is less need to dumb everything down. Monster Hunter is hard as shit and that's the biggest game in Japan right now.
Gabriel Campbell
>Some games need minimap No games need a minimap and no matter what they take you out of the world and make the game easier. It's also a cop out of making detailed points of interest since you have them marked on a map instead.
Games are objectively better without them.
Landon Barnes
i hope you pirated it, the goty edition torrent is up and has no miners. Not worth paying
Brandon Perez
>I will pick an actual RPG with great combat over a glorified movie with dialouge choices any day of the week.
I am not disagreeing with that, I am just saying that Dragon's Dogma is far from being a great example of a modern RPG. The game is ambitious and has some great ideas but it's not very well executed.
For all it's fun combat it gets pretty boring if you have to fight the same monster over and over again.
Jaxson Thomas
The GOTY edition isn't a free update? Didn't CDPR used to mock these paid upgrade things?
Justin Nelson
>>the characters are simplified, whitewashed Are you a nigger ?
Brandon Taylor
oh if you own the game maybe, not sure, it contains all dlcs for what i understand. Keep in mind i did not pirate it earlier because i had a shit pc, so i have no idea how it went
Brandon Diaz
kek saved. They must have done that on purpose. Poles generally hate this SJW bullshit.
Sebastian Morris
Skyrim hardly needs a minimap, what it needs is more landmarks and more environment variety.
Adrian Bennett
Nigga you are crazy there were landmarks on every step
I like W3 open world far better, it's bigger but the landmarks are more widely distributeed , because there are areas in which you just ride and enjoy the world, instead of dragons and ancient temples on every step
Grayson Green
LIKE A NOVIGRAD WHORE
Isaac Carter
There are big chunks of Skyrim which are pretty samey. Although many locations like the shrines are really great.
Most of the world in The Witcher 3 is copypasted though, and riding controls are terrible, and yet it's necessary since Geralt moves so slowly.
James Parker
>Most of the world in The Witcher 3 is copypasted though
You've never played it... Absolutely nothing is copypasted every single location is handcrafted.
Brody Thomas
I think the biggest problem with DD was it didn't have a big enough budget/development time. I can really see what they were trying to do with DD but it was far too ambitious. The best part for me was exploring around the map and running into those big ass monsters. Only thing is the map wasn't really all that big enough and there wasn't all that much variety in the monsters.
It's one of the few games I say deserves a bigger budget sequel. And I usually hate saying a game needs a larger budget.
Isaac Thomas
Why did you bother posting this?
The game doesn't have a 30 FPS limit.
It doesn't have DRM.
Having the CPU and GPU highlighted doesn't help anything here.
That quote on the bottom regarding being remembered is true. No one fucking praises Ocarina of Time for that.
Carter Price
>every single location is handcrafted
How much do they pay you per post? I hope it's enough otherwise saying such nonsense would be pretty embarrassing.
Michael Turner
Good night, sweet prince.
Jaxon Rodriguez
DD's ambition was far above what you can put in a game while making a worth while profit.
As it is, it's barely under Skyrim/TW3/GTA levels of replayability and yet the concept art and ideas drew a game 20x larger.
Mason Jenkins
You are actually just proving him right at this point. Do you have any idea how pathetic it is to start throwing accusations showing that you had not played the damn thing then start screaming "SHILL!!!" when people point out to you that you are wrong? Seriously, do you have no fucking shame?
John Reed
I think it tried to do way too many things at the same time. Maybe it would be a better idea to drop the open world and just focus on a more linear progression with unique encounters, maybe make it a Metroidvania.
Dylan Martin
>Maybe it would be a better idea to drop the open world and just focus on a more linear progression They did that in the expansion.
Jaxon Powell
That's a pretty sad attempt at samefagging shill.
Charles Walker
>DD's ambition was far above what you can put in a game while making a worth while profit. It's not so much about the ambition alone, as it is about lack of direction and terrible design. DD is a collection of gimmicky that have never been invented with any kind of consistency and that simply don't work well together. It's an amusing game, but it's also incredibly poorly designed one.
Kayden Mitchell
>shilling before you even play Are you that much of a worthless layabout?
Samuel Rodriguez
I don't agree. The only issues it had was that there wasn't enough of the game.
Jack Watson
Nothing about it is gimmicky you dumb shit. The pawn system works really well and is a great innovation that keeps your party fun and varied.
Thomas Ward
>Bioware tackled similar stuff with Mages vs Church and wrote it far better.
Bullshit they did. Do you even remember Dragon Age 2? Holy shit was that game awful.
Angel Wilson
Yeah, the pawn system was surprisingly really fun. I liked just sitting in the rift and picking out the perfect pawns. Glad I didn't pirate it and got to use other people pawns.
Camden Foster
>Games are objectively better without them. no, not really
Charles Hernandez
I am pretty sure he is talking about the older Bioware games, although you are probably too young to have played those.
Cameron Gomez
Radovid used his influence, spies, money in the Church to turn the population against mages and non-humans and create chaos so he can take the city easier.
Yes most of the people working for the church were scum and bandits , but that's only a recent change.
Michael Lewis
There's no way that's serious
Levi Foster
>Witcher 3 got GOTY the same year Bloodborne came out
Just imagine that
Kayden Perry
>Some games need minimap, they most of the time improve them game
No, what more games need is good level design. Gothic 1 and 2 never needed a mini-map because you'd learn their maps by heart simply out of necessity, for example. You could actually never get even map proper in first Gothic because you had to buy it first.
Owen Jackson
Dragon Age Inquisition got GOTY same year Divinity: Original Sin came out.
Adrian Nelson
You realize GOTY just brings everything together in one package, right? In fact they recommend if you own the game already you just patch it and get a season pass instead.
Matthew Cooper
>Gothic 1 and 2 Atleast you could name games that are not complete fuking shit, but ok I guess I see your point
Andrew Wilson
Because DOS was a small game from a LITERALLY WHO developer as far as the mainstream was concerned. DAI won GOTY simply because it had no high profile competition in 2014.
Jayden Morgan
>CDPR name drops Gothic for encounter design and progression >literally none of that philosophy is in the game
Luis Torres
that's literally what they do
Landon Rodriguez
>big game beats small game Which is exactly my point. GOTY awards is just a circlejerk of who managed to spend the most on a game.
Carter Perez
do it
Nicholas Thomas
If anyone didn't enjoy witcher series. Pick up the short story books "The Last Wish" and "Sword of Destiny".
Explains all the characters, cities, locations, events etc. that the game refrences to all the fucking time.
I only made it barely halfway through Witcher 3. But after reading the short story books my enjoyment level is increased tenfolds.
Started on the novel books now which goes in detail about the adventures of geralt and ciri.
The audio books are on youtube if you can't be assed to order the books.
And even if you hate the games. The short story books are pretty good.
