CYBERPUNK 2077 CONFIRMED NOT VAPORWARE

From leddit:

>Because CD Projekt is a publicly traded company, it is required to answer shareholder questions. Thankfully there is a thread on their official forums, where investors can do just that. One poster asked, how many people work on Cyberpunk 2077. The answer is music to my ears:

>21.Na prezentacji wspomniano, że ponad 100 osób z game=devu pracuje nad Gwintem, rozumiem, że reszta pracowników pracuje nad CP2077 (minus wsparcie tech. dla W3)

>Translation: "In your recent presentation you have mentioned, that there are over 100 people working on Gwent. I understand that the remaining employees work on CP2077 (minus tech support for TW3)"

>Answer:

>Nad Cyberpunkiem pracuje obecnie więcej osób z gamedevu niż pracowało nad trzecią częścią Wiedźmina w najintensywniejszym miesiącu

>
Translation: "There are currently more game developers working on Cyberpunk 2077 than on The Witcher 3 in its most intensive month."

The only other interesting thing that guy said on leddit was this

>when asked about the release date of Cyberpunk 2077 they replied that "They like to surprise, so they won't reveal it."

All in all that's stuff we could have assumed but it's nice to be reassured.

>announced 5 years ago
>not a single piece of gameplay shown

its dead jim

You realize that they just announced it as a teaser while they focused on TW3, right? They even said that they weren't going to focus on it until Witcher 3 was completely done and they weren't going to update it anymore.

Game is going to be a dissapointment, it has been around for so long that the hype is completely dead

it's was an advertisement to hire people for a cyberpunk game
it wasn't exactly an announcement

I've been getting hit with waves of hype lately, probably because Deus Ex MD was disappointing.

Right now this and Nier Automata are the only games that I have absolute trust in. They'll be good games, they have good teams with good reputations.

Nobody is hyped for C77 as there's nothing to be hyped about. There is zero information about it.

There's been nothing to even get fucking hyped for other than the fact that they're making a cyberpunk game. How can the hype be dead if they never created any?

The only hype is coming from yourself and if you're disappointed by whatever CDPR shows it'll be solely your fault.

>CDPR game after Witcher 3

no thanks.

>Nobody is hyped for C77
I'm hyped just on the virtue of it being a nonlinear cyberpunk RPG by tthe Witcher devs.

>No gameplay shown as of yet
>Haha hype is fucking dead guys!

Right. I'm sure the first gameplay trailer will get absolutely zero attention, everybody will yawn and shrug it off. No hype will be generated at all, certainly not by the first bit of gameplay from this project that we, as of right now, know almost nothing about. Our expectations are already set too high for this game we should have no expectations of.

Dumbass.

>Game is going to be a dissapointment, it has been around for so long that the hype is completely dead

look at this user

look at this user and laugh

Nothing is known at all, just that the game is in development.

That one teaser from 5 years ago was just a comissioned animated movie that may or may not even have anything to do with the game.

But it's CD Projekt and it's apparently taken seriously by them, so I'm cautiously optimistic.

>implying that is going to be anything more than Witcher 3 combat system with neon lights plastered on all the weapons

Any fa/tg/uys around? How's the tabletop game hold up today? I've heard it's heavily rule-based and not that fun to play. I want to be told I'm in the wrong here.

I forgot that part in TW3 where Geralt gets a gun.

>first person game with guns
>Witcher 3 combat

Sure user.

>its going to have witcher 3 combat
>a game with guns
>witcher 3 combat

You are 2 years within 14 in either direction.

>take solid 8/10 game
>make it cyberpunk

How is that a bad thing? I'm not expecting much for the combat system, I lpay CDPR games for worldbuilding and quest writing.

Has CDPR done anything other than Witcher games before? The entire Witcher series was pretty shit, and I don't expect their first non-Witcher new game to be any better.

Theres literally nothing to talk about before 2017 E3 where they prob have some gameplay trailer.

>first person

Nigger what? Source?

Thanks for you original and thoughtful input user. You are unique in your feelings about CDPR :)

t. Butthurt CDPR drone that can't take criticism

good then maybe the final game won't need 150 patches to work as intended

Fuck I hope we don't have to wait that long. E3 literally just happened.

They are literally hiring for Cyberpunk 2077 right now.

>Cyberpunk 2077 is a role-playing video game played from either a first-person or third-person perspective.[2][3]

They already have 400 people working on it, they probably just want more people to expedite the development process.

The source there is a rumor.

vg247.com/2013/08/12/cyberpunk-2077-to-contain-both-first-and-third-person-perspective-rumour/

fucking Wikiped

I really wish they hadn't gone public. Not because I don't want to hear updates, but it does comprimise their future.

im actually suprised if it releases before 2018.

>nothing shown, no gameplay, specific setting, anything

>user on Sup Forums already declares it's shit

this sums up the whole site pretty much

You know how I can tell there's hype for this game on Sup Forums? The amount of shitposting being rapidly posted in this thread.

If no one cared, it'd get a few posts and die, but people want it so bad, they get so excited, that they try to stop that feeling of hype and desire by shitting on it.

I understand, shitposter Anons, it's okay, it'll come out and we'll enjoy it together. CDPR won't hurt you like other devs hurt you in the past.

I don't mind that, I just want something to fuel my hype until then. We don't even know what the gameplay will be like yet.

CDPR as a public company made witcher 3, so I guess were alright for now.

You mean this one? boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/147116/witcher-adventure-game

It's fun in a beer and pretzels kind of way. If you have a group of friends that's into gaming for the banter/shit-talking it's great, don't get into it expecting a skill-based euro experience. My only real gripe with it is playtime is too long for the experience it delivers.

Pros:

Theme is on point
Cool combat system
Push-your-luck combine with tit-for-tat mechanics lead to good banter
Nice minis

Con:
Relatively obvious winning strat each time
Bad luck can stop you winning even though you played perfectly
Low player interaction

I think I've played it going on for 25 times, there's also a Steam/GoG PC and tablet version but Triss is OP because it doesn't interpret the rules for her teleporting correctly.

I hope we will have the chance for stealth gameplay, and not just go out with blazing guns.

>specific setting,
Well no it will be based around cyberpunk 2020.

Board game sucks massive dicks, tabletop sucks the regular kind of dicks. Don't bother.

>t. im 30y old and lack the desire to play anything fast paced/challenging

...

By tabletop I mean pen&paper

>I'm 20 years old and can't focus or differentiate between quality and shit.

I meant Cyberpunk 2020, but thanks anyway. Never played that either, might check it out.

>Has CDPR done anything other than Witcher games before? The entire Witcher series was pretty shit, and I don't expect their first non-Witcher new game to be any better.

I'm not that guy and I don't really care about your opinion on witcher games, but do you mind explaining how was that criticism?

good thing gameplay barely seems to matter to CDPR fans

Fuck guns and fuck stealth, I want the Corporate class to be in this game.

I want to be a greedy smooth-talking Jew who can convince others to do everything for me.

>I've never played the original tabletop game and have adhd: the post

Messed that up, here

Agreed, more options are better options, but I fear stealth will not be included. It's an RPG, so the chances of having a smooth talking class is high.

>I didn't enjoy CDPR's only other games, is there some reason I should expect this to be different or better
Does rewording it like that trigger you two less?

But is that gun for humans or monsters?

...

You missed my point, im asking you how is what you are saying criticism?

>most presentable at Witcher 2
>Witcher 2 is the worst in the series

really makes you think...

Witcher 2 was pretty great improvement over w1, but nows the diss w2 month so I guess you're excused.

How shit is my taste if i think it was the best one

fine

But it was probably your first, right?

Yeah it was

Your first Geralt is always the most memorable

It's for Triss, so a monster.

>he's a yenfag

How could you let your waifu bully uncle Vesemir?

because it makes my dick hard fag

>I didn't like any of the Witcher games
What the fuck do you want a 12 page paper on specially what I don't like about them? I was just inquiring if they had any experience in any other games or if I should expect Witcher: Future edition.

If I should expect Witcher: Future edition
No one knows yet. Just keep an eye on the news and you'll find out eventually.

>still doesn't tell me if they did literally anything that isn't Witcher
Literally what this whole thing was about, but okay.

it's also based on a Sup Forums post by some guy claiming to be a CDPR dev one year ago
he also said there'd be professions like police officer and riding vehicles

I want to cut off my limbs and replace them with robot limbs.

>400 people working on a game
this has literally never gone right.

>police officer and riding vehicles

Vehicles are in and a police officer questline seems likely.

I wonder if he was legit.

PLEASE PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME AND LET IT HAPPEN

DONT CARE IF IT'S 2020

I want personal responsibility to happen

It's coming out in 2077 idiots, its literally in the title

neo-Sup Forums is so stupid ffs

Every AAA studio is that size more or less.
What is rare is they all work at same game at the same time.

They did an incredible job with Witcher3 so I've got high expectations for this.

Nice meme, but it would make more sense to release in 2020. They could even release a fancy new version of the P&P game, maybe even a bundle with the collector's edition.

>inb4 DeusEx style; you already have them and all you do is unlock them
>tfw no cyberpunk game where you get to chose your own augments

>>inb4 DeusEx style; you already have them and all you do is unlock them
Wait what? In the original Deus Ex all you start with is basic nano augmentations that boost your physical stats. All the special powers are found with canisters.

so its another cyberpunk game? do we have any info on it? is it going to be like 3D snatcher?

I'm hoping that anyone can get augments, but there's a class that comes with shitty ones.

He means HR and MD.

It's sad that no one means the original when they say Deus Ex anymore.

The Last Guardian is still getting mad hype a decade after it was announced

Erk, I meant the newer ones with Adam "I didn't ask for this :'(" Jensen, my bad I should have probably specified that.

I do.

Beyond rumors? No. There is literally zero information out there except that it's a RPG game.

Does the Cyberpunk setting have nano augs?

>Don't care about The Witcher fantasy setting
>Just want a cool and immersive cyberpunk RPG

A release date at least.

2018-19

It's right there in the title

>Cyberpunk 2077

Reveal: E3 2017 (First Gameplay)

Release: Late 2018

Screencap this.

It's literally in the title of the game
The year 2077

>starts full on development in 2016
>released 2 years later
no.
2019 at the earliest.

It'll come out 2020. Nice homage to the pen n paper game, and it gives them time to work on it.

Not vaporware but they fucked themselves over announcing it so early. In 2019 people would have hyped for about 7 years and no matter how good the final product is, there will be some disappointment. Then again who knows, it might just be Duke Nukem Forever level of disappointment
