DUDE
WHAT IF
WE MADE THE PLAYER
FIGHT HIM 100 TIMES
DUDE
Isn't that what the dark souls games are about?
Dude, what if the pursuer lived up to his name...
You fight him what 3 times max per game?
>boss becomes enemy later on
>it's okay because it fits his name
I kind of wish they did. When he first showed up I thought he'd be like a nemesis type enemy and be integral to the story. There's no real enemy like that in the Souls games.
Well yeah, you've severely weakened him when you beat him. Why would he suddenly regain his strength?
5
6 on NG+
Navlaan, kind of. Or that deer headed fucker in Bloodborne Old Hunters.
AND THERE ARE PEOPLE ON THIS BOARD RIGHT NOW POSTING ABOUT HOW SOTFS IS A MASTERPIECE
>I kind of wish they did
You didn't play the SotFS edition.
>first fight on the plaza of the fort
>real boss fight later on if you don't win that
>at tutorial area after the Cyclopes
>bastille before the blacksmith
>Bastille again behind the bonfire
5 times that I can recall
He's called the Pursuer. Don't be a faggot.
Oscar was SUPPOSED to be this in DaS1.
He'd try to become the dark lord if you tried to link the fire, and if YOU tried to become the dark lord he'd try to link the fire.
But then they cut that and made him an npc you get a sweet shield from. And the estus flask at the beginning.
>he wants the pursuer to only fight you once
lol
He's objectively stronger though, right?
He has access to his full moveset in future encounters without needing to land his curse stab
Pursuer? More like Pushover
>Oscar always destined to be your enemy
Would have really worked with the whole desperate theme they were working on, what with all your companions slowly going mad until you're the only one left
>he wants to fight an enemy with a predictable and unchallenging moveset multiple times
No wonder this is the easiest souls game.
Also two at the same time in Drangleic Castle in NG+.
>people still think there is one pursuer
>when you fight two at the same time
patches maybe?
Well, that's kinda his point, not to mention he's actually a GOOD boss unlike 95% of them in DS2
>the Pursuer is actually summoning himself from different dimensions
>good boss
Kek
>Patches
>Enemy
>Not your trusty friend who gives you neat stuff
Nothing ever Patches does can't be undone in a second and that's only if you fall for the blatantly obvious "traps".
Dark Souls 2 had way too much of bosses reappearing as normal enemies. Other Souls games had that too, but not to the extent of 2. The Guardian Dragon being a miniboss in Heide's Tower and then a real boss in Aldia's Keep, is the most ridiculous example. Another example is in how in Scholar they removed original algamate enemies from Sinner's Rise just to put in another Flexile Sentry. Why lock original content in NG+ just to have players do the same thing over again?
Bet you think Huey did nuffin wrong in MGS5.
>it's not my fault you fell for my trap
go to bed patches
this. he isn't very threatening. takes him 10 years to recover after he does his sword swings. not to mention the first time you fight him (when he has a boss bar) you can instant kill with the ballista as well.
I mean sure he's not on par with DS1/3/BB bosses, but he's not nearly as bad as the majority of bosses in DS2
Hey, they put in those ninja faggots in that pirate cove or whatever when they weren't there before.
>I mean sure he's not on par with DS1
>bosses
The ds one bosses were all mostly shit though. Especially the ones at the end of each area.
I enjoyed the Last Giant more than the Pursuer, and that's pretty sad.
He could have been so cool if he was a mob that ranomly spwned on any area besides Majula and he would never stop chasing you intil you killed him or died
theres 2 pursuers in the bastille? damn i played that game to ng++ just a few months ago and dont remember any shit like that
>enjoying the Last Giant
How? It's so boring and piss easy
I beat it no problem on my first playthrough
Dark Souls 2 has a shitty story, but objectively it has the best combat and PvP of any Souls game after a year of patching.
It's the one I go back to replay the most, desu. Having a centralized, easy-to-access dueling arena helps keep the game alive even with only like 2K players. Anyone who complains about the lack of a Full Red Eye Orb just sucks at dueling and can't earn them.
Demon's Souls and Dark Souls 1 are both broken messes in PvP. That's what makes them fun, but boring for competitive players after a while.
Dark Souls 3 right now is just dumb. It's a quality builds only zone right now. Pyro's spell variety sucks compared to Dark Souls 2, and Magician's spell variety rocks, except Magician sucks dong. There are little-to-no useful offensive miracles other than maybe lightning stake and sunlight spear.
There's one that's easy to find and the other is in a difficult to get to spot with one chest and an invisible enemy and you can miss Pursuer entirely of you don't spend enough time there
>DS2
>objectively best combat and pvp of any souls game
He still barely shows up, he basically pops up a few times in the forest and in the lost bastille and then vanishes for the rest of the game.
Pursuer, Dragonrider and Last Giant are objectively harder first bosses than Vordt.
No one had a problem with him.
What I'm saying is that he is still better than the Pursuer. That's how shit the Pursuer is.
Besides Abysswatchers, he's above every boss in DS3 up untill Pontiff.
>it's okay because it fits his name
>give boss 10 million hp for padding the game
>name it something thematic like tankius maximus
it is okay
Also one at iron keep after you defeat smelter demon.
He was only a huge faggot the first time.
If you didn't have it down after that then you're just a bag of dicks at the game.
The Bastille ones are only in SOTFS
...
I'd be alright with the amount of times he showed up if he at least was relevant to the story as intended. He wasn't in any form.
Name a better boss.
First half of DS3 has the trashiest bosses in the whole series, including DeS.
>insult das2
>apologists project it stems from the "difficulty"
Every time.
gundyr and vordt both shit on pursuer in terms of moveset, animations and fun
>B-BUT MUH DIFFICULTY
if you think the games are good because they're super duper hardcore you need to leave
>There are little-to-no useful offensive miracles other than maybe lightning stake and sunlight spear
Is it really so bad? I just started up a faith/dex character, did regular lightning spear stay gutted from DS2?
Pursuer has more moves than them, sorry.
Check the wikis.
Animations are fine.
And being able to roll spam into the boss and have most of the attacks miss you isn't "fun", it's just the sign of poor design or intentional gimping of bosses so a wider audience can get past the tutorial and first level respectively.
No, you just need to invest in atunement and buy more copies.
He's also at Iron Keep.
have you ever even fought the champ
>DS2 animations
>fine
>ever
lmao, just lmao
Champ isn't a first boss.
The tutorial version only has a very basic moveset.
Are you daft? Do you think two humans are the same just because they're both humans? Obviously, just as there are stronger people than others, there are stronger enemies even though they're the same species. Sheesh.
> dude what if we made then fight him 100 times?!
> dude I got something even better: what if we made the player fight the enemy 100 times, but all at once?! Like 1 vs 100?!
> awesome dude! We're gonna be rich lmao!
Idk mang, I liked the concept behind him and the feeling he evoked, he also was actually challenging as a boss, at least for the first couple encounters
>And being able to roll spam into the boss and have most of the attacks miss you isn't "fun"
Which is why the Pursuer is shit, and sentences don't begin with conjunctions.
You alright?
>The tutorial version only has a very basic moveset.
what do you expect from a tutorial? still more diverse than pursuer slash, slash, overhead swing, thrust
>roll spam
>DS2
Not happening, this isn't an easy mode like DS3.
Well why else would he be complaining about it? The Pursuer is literally a fucking pursuer. The fights are worth participating in. And if you don't want to you can fuck off most of the time.
If you're bitching about the Pursuer then I can't possibly think of another reason other than having trouble dealing with him.
>buy more copies
Wait, why? Spell use is now limited by fp cost, right?
Really? Because I've been getting away with it. :^)
Not that I have to, becaue you can literally walk around him lol.
You forgot the shield bash, the 3 hit combo, dash and slash, the fly up and plunge on you, and the curse orbs (if you get grabbed).
>The Pursuer is literally a fucking pursuer.
No. He's a "spawn in predetermined rooms and disappear when the player leaves the room". DS2 drones only see what they want to see
>Dynasty Warriors boardroom
like everything in DS2: good idea, shit execution.
I never bothered with magic in DS games, but im making a hexer in ds2 and holy shit, the damage it deals is fucking massive.
No weapons
Spells only
Final desination.
Invaders always wreck my shit tho, having no weapon is not a great idea for pvp.
Because he's too easy and not fun?
DaS2 babbies...
Sorry, I though you were talking about DS2 miracles, DS3 ones are just a sad mess.
Get a fucking rapier at least, later in game you can find a chaos one that will scale with int and faith.
>DUDE WHAT IF WE MADE THE PLAYER FIGHT HIM 100 TIMES
Still way harder than DS3's first 5 bosses.
Not that guy but regardless of which game you prefer DS2 objectively has less roll spam than 3
>Ennemy is called The Pursuer
>Runs away if you get too far
Okay
DS2 has great execution on most ideas, some just needed more polish.
Someone post the webm where the guy stays still and the pursuer can't hit him
...
Hexes are a fucking menace, I just wish there was more variety, dark orb is the first and best hex basically
But i dont want to.
What did you expect from the worst game in the series?
Well yeah, he isn't called the leave you aloner.
Dummy
>Has a fuckload of weapons on his back
>Always fights you with his sword and shield
If he used a different weapon with a different moveset at each encounter, that would be cool.
I'm also still really pissed we can get his sword and shield but not his armor.
He's about the same.
> the pursuer can't pursue
> being surprised something in this game doesn't work properly
>DS3 ones are just a sad mess.
Fug
Ok, your call but a backup weapon is always a good idea.
An area with 20 Taurus and Capra demons.
just delete this fucking DS3drone
or did you forgot how poise literally doesnt work in 3
miyyzaki cocksucker
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW
how bad are you?
Hex builds are amazing for PvP, as long as you don't have to hit through Great Magic Barrier.
Get a Chime with Force/Emit Force to deal with that.
Just use Affinity, most people can't dodge it, then throw Dark Hail at close range until they die.
>never get a fucking Zaku helm from Pursuer, even though you can get a full armored core outfit
Damn you FROM
In Scholar of the Arbitrary Changes you fight him a dozen times.
