I actually just did 1 and a half full replays of this game, and I still fucking love it. However you can really tell how rushed it was. Something got majorly fucked in development which really shows in the game. If you break down the unique missions there are only like ~10 in the whole game. Everything else is just filler shit like capturing outposts, doing repeatable races, and the building and HVT missions. If they had put more work into unique story missions the game could have been so much better. The second half in particular is really rushed, and the final mission is incredibly anti-climatic. Something had to have gone wrong during development because Mercs 1 was so fucking good.
