Max Payne should´ve ended with 1. 2 was already starting the fall of the series (no pun intended) and 3 while good gameplay wise didn´t deserve the name Max Payne

1 left a lot of loose ends. 2 was the perfect wrap-up of the MP1 story. And 3 was the perfect wrap-up for Max's story.

I mean, MP2 ends in pretty much a cliffhanger. Personally, I wanted to know what Max did after that. And MP3 provided me with a very satisfying answer.

I thought it was great.

What's it like to have such shit opinions?

What's different about the hard mode ending?

It's mirrored left to right

I`m a shitter, so I didn`t get the hardmode ending, but it seems a lot better than the one I got. I was about to say how I was really dissapointed at it, but I`m a lot less after seeing that. I don`t entirely like that they just killed off the world still.

''You'll walk... WITH A LIMP!''

It is literally the same ending except for the "dear old flag" thing

The actual game was shit, but it was a good ending

must be that i was pissed from the mediocre gameplay for the last few hours before I watched it or something.

Oh, screw you.

Max Payne 3 had some insanely good music, still listen to some of it today

Max Payne 3 is the best AAA game I've played in the last 4 years. I love the feel, the atmosphere and the story of the franchise. I would love a Max Payne 4 if done right, despite 3 ending it off so brilliantly.

Though, I wouldn't be shocked if I see "Max Payne 4: Son of Max" and 50 DLCs for it on Steam one day.

The bar has a quote by Seneca written in portuguese as well...

>"There is nothing in the world so much admired as a man who knows how to bear unhappiness with courage."

nah, man the cashgrab route they'll go would be a game starring Mona Sax for that feminist $$$$

Also had a perfect opener in my opinion. That shit hit hard.

This is good, isn't it?

Finally have that cute country home where you have your well earned chill with your wife after a decade of chaos.

it's not an ironic threadstarter, he actually did provide an example of a perfect video game ending

This definitely. Max Payne was perfectly self contained.

Max Payne 1 could be a standalone masterpiece but 2 and 3 added on so much to that and it made for a fantastic franchise.

>"I had a dream of my wife. She was dead, but it was alright."

You can't top that after everything Max had been through for 2 games.

That was his closure and could start living again.

And so the Courier, who had cheated death in the cemetery outside Goodsprings, cheated death once again, and the Mojave Wasteland was forever changed...

It's a reference to MGS4's ending, dude.

ah, well I don't play that weeb shit

>MGS series
>weeb

Please tell me you're only pretending to be retarded.

I hated the tone shift from 1 to 2.

>"Scrap the tongue in cheek, add gritty nitty bullshit romance no one gives a fuck about."

Why,

Or maybe Passos becomes a new protagonist after losing his wife and baby.

Look man, I love MGS, but it's basically anime.

Dude you are me. The most fun part about 1 was how self aware and fun it was.

I love MGS to death, but even I can admit it's pretty damn weeb.
Not that being weeb is inherently bad, mind you.

The story and characters are pretty much weeb shit.

It's a game series made by a man desperate to make American action movies but can't help being a Japanese dork. If anything it's the symmetric opposite of weeb.

Oh come on, look at this. And dont even get me started about raiden.
Embrace the weeb in you my friend.
