Where was the story?

YOU make the story!
cut
don't forget to buy the season pass :^)
You have to play the game first
pffff you save everyone and a week later there is a giant party.
Did you check behind the white guilt? Sometimes it's there, but it could also have fallen in that little spot behind SJW cuckholdry.
>augs are oppressed
>even though they're rich enough to get augs
>despite the fact that they're more powerful than regulars
In the game.
Crafty cunt
>just slapping insane spoilers into a game guide
Someone's not going to get that promotion, holy shit.
I mean desu there's plenty of more powerful and rich people pulling the strings to make augs treated like subhumans
Like Sarif was one of the big pro-augs trying to change the world, and after the incident, wasn't it that medical company that does what Illumninati tell them, that bought Sarifs company?
It's kinda like all the jews of the current world (money and power times 10) would decide that everyone using steroids were dangerous because it affects your mental state, and did their best to put them in concentration camps
In fairness the lay out enough hints to lead you to that.
It's not like Your pilot where you have to do some serious digging to find all the pieces
I'd say it's about the same, honestly.
Only Janus is supposed to be a big reveal in the next game.
in ti-ein books, comics and that spoilery art-book
>tfw Sup Forums will NEVER figure out all of the choices that kill Vaclav
>attempt to confront him about that
>jensen sits there like he didn't stumble upon shit
ok
I was kinda pissed that it was all just a giant setup for Deus Ex 3 but oh well I enjoyed the game solid 7.5/10
Decent bait, here's a reply.
only way he lives is if you kill both men in charge of dvali
refute it
They were rich enough to get Aug BEFORE the Incident, now they are oppressed and sick because Neoropazine is expensive as shit and hard to find and the ninnies now oppress them.
I let Miller take the poison, but killed him before he could finish his spiel simply because I had been wanting to since the first time you hear his voice. MILLER conformed worst voice acting ever. Also what the FUCK was with the pathetic lip sync all game? Even gmod has better lip sync mods.
Who gives a fuck? He's completely useless and might not be in the game for all you care
Human Revolution is Deus Ex 3.
You mean 4
No
>spend an hour trying to both ghost through and incapacitate every thug in the theater
>patience getting thin
>fucking whores keep panicking and ruining ghost
>autism levels increasing rapidly
>finally do it with cloak takedowns on everyone
>get to Radich and Otar
>take cover after the cutscene
>HOSTILE
>SEARCHING
>fucking lose it
>unload everything on both Otar and Radich
Does killing them both have consequences, big or small?
>incapacitating every enemy in stealth
>bothering with ghost on top of that
Do you hate fun?
And yes, it might have consequences in MD2.
...
Cute
CUTE
You're getting how many yorlocks for this?
Cirilla?
Do you guys think they will manage to do what Bioware failed to do?
To make choices matter across three games?
Your choices don't matter. The game starts and ends the same way for everyone.
>Bioware
Try every single company that tried save importing.
Honestly, I really, really hope at least some specific, important (sparing Marchenko, saving Brown) choices will matter, but I'm not holding my breath.
I honestly hope they don't make choices matter too much, I don't want to have a bunch of development time wasted sorting through choices. They miss a few moments that should logically acknowledge your actions in this game alone.
Besides it's a prequel series, it kind of has to end one way unless they pull some cheesy multiple timeline shit.
I mean to make it at least similar to Deus Ex 1, like i saved samizdat members and someone else and they show up in the next game and can help you by giving some information you could not recieve otherwise.
...
Speaking of Samizdat, if you help them they form Silhoeutte. I wonder how they form if you kill them.
not him but why do they give you exp for takedowns then instead of just avoiding people completely?
is the entire exp system just a big conspiracy to trigger autists?
>is the entire exp system just a big conspiracy to trigger autists?
Yes. The best part is that there's no reason to minmax your exp either, ever.
Still, I do think you should only get the Ghost exp bonus if you didn't attack any enemies AND you weren't seen at all.
>if you kill them
Who says Silhouette forms at all then?
user no save importing has mattered because people always over-sell it to themselves.
In the endi ts just going to be a set story for 2-3 games and your save merely impact some backstory, conversational points, or maybe even a characters presence.
No ones going to write 64 endings for all the permutations of which waifu you picked.
That reference makes me think that the next game will be set in Paris.
Also LA is about to go underwater in 2030's, and K says about man made earthquakes, that's also an interesting reference
Not to mention Megan is in that general area.
>Who says Silhouette forms at all then?
pls no, muh canon
>Megan is in California and so are the incoming cataclysms
>TF29's actual HQ is in Lyon
>Rand should be in NY for the time being
One of these is going to be a thing, surely.
I want to go to Paris again at some point just so we can see Beth DuClare and the original Templars.
Actually a good few did in the late 80s and 90s
However I would rather have a game that gives vast choices in one single game as having to deal with the mess of choices between many games, it makes replays a bigger chore
>only the rich have augs
Did you even play Hr?
In the pocket secs and emails of the game, the way they tie together various side quests with the main plot and show how intertwined a lot of characters are with Illuminati schemes.
They're the real MVPs.
>tfw so many people missed a LOT of plot points because it takes two playthroughs for it all to click
Why do pocket secretaries even exist? Wouldn't all that stuff be kept on cell phones?
oh yeah, there's so much shit you can read and easily miss if you're rushing through the game.
I like to think of them as seriously mini tablets that have all the functionality of phones.
The first Deus Ex (2000) had them and the year date was 2052. Cell phones were no where what they are today when that game was made.
lorewise they are dealing with it like fallout and cellphones never passed the basic functions.
Definately, my main problem was uncovering these emails and pocket secs early on the game because I was just out and exploring. Then I'd have forgotten all about them later on in the game when the corresponding coversations/emails/pocket secs show up that link everything.
>mini tablets that have all the functionality of phones
>mini tablet
So it's a cell phone..
You can leave them around for non-specific recipients, unlike cell phone messages.
We are in a world where people could get cybernetic limbs as early as 2008
Much like Fallout's universe it's not our timeline.
Newspapers look like tablet PC's.
What's funny is that ipads were launched in 2010. 1 year after that Human Revolution was released and back then i thought it's pretty futuristic.
5 years have passed and Mankind Divided does not look all that futuristic anymore. I see people use tablet PC's all the time, they're practically everywhere. Just wait 5 years and we'll all be using transparent monitors and there will be animated ads on the streets.
which reminds me of disturbing lack of party endings in new deus ex games
I don't understand the tablet newspapers. You can get them out of old fashioned newspaper boxes on the street like you would with actual paper newspapers, but they don't have any functionality besides that. Is it a jab at first world civilization's obsession with disposable electronics?
Adam never asked for them.
Not the only way
iPads were in fucking Star Trek decades ago.
Then it has even more reason to be in
Anyone tried some of the comics or books yet? I just read the Children's Crusade comic which really wasn't that great, but Black Light is a pretty good read so far.
You can't even eat cereal at a party.
Basically.
The idea is already been pitch for one time use disposable screens for adds or info back in 2007
We might see a world where a thin silicon clear screen is as common as sheet paper.
Read the one that came with pre-order, was ok I guess. Not really that interesting.
My copy of Black Light should be here this week.
if i had to have an insane brainwashed waifu, it would be Allison.
I find it weird how sanctimonious Adam is in Mankind Divided. Sure he's with Interpol now, but in the last game he killed a bunch of people on behalf of a private company.
You can't even eat in the game
Literally in the middle of credits right now. Are there any other hints than that sideways glance? What's this about Chikane being a double agent? And you can save Miller somehow? It took me over 40 hours to beat the game, I scoured everywhere for emails and pocket secretaries and whatnot (except London, kinda rushed it), but I still feel like I've missed a ton.
>What's this about Chikane being a double agent?
See The artbook says he's planted by Illuminati to watch Miller
>save Miller
Pick bank heist next time
>in the last game he killed a bunch of people
That's not how I remember it.
Nothing but hints right now, in Janus' dialogue and in the final Illuminati meeting. Rand's reaction to Everett mentioning Janus is pretty damn telling.
>Chikane
See There's also a pocket-secretary with pure dirt in his hidden room.
>Miller
Yep, you gotta do the heist.
You had to kill bosses in the original release
Where else does he kill, except apparently in Missing Link?
Difference is that Viktor is a terrorist purposefully trying to make things worse and in HR Adam was unraveling a conspiracy.
Adam doesn't kill without reasons.
I'm 99% certain that Pacifist meme runs are not considered canon.
>Are there any other hints than that sideways glance?
Janus informs Alex of the UN result before it's public. Volkard is established as involved with the UN. Janus mentions "some" of the lluminati at one point. Also I guess Janus has the same suit. Really the biggest thing is that he's OC donut steel who hasn't done anything yet and the other 'obvious' guesses (Page and Daedalus) make no sense.
I thought Janus was gonna be Bob Page trying to manipulate the Illuminati.
Was I supposed to recognize the name Elanus? I hacked Chikane's computers but it was really early on. I forgot a ton of shit since there's so much to absorb all the time.
Excluding player choice when it comes to killing and sparing, where is it said he kills someone? That's what I meant. Yes he kills bosses, but what else.
Google the name.
>tfw it ends up being Page framing Volkard so he can take his seat
I guess it's a bird. Still not getting it, unless it some reach where black-winged kite is a solid connection to a pilot because they fly. I'll be paying more attention on my next playthrough, maybe he has bird posters I forgot about.
Eidos are pretty good at avoiding that topic. Don't think there any explicit mentions of killing /stunning people that's out of player control.
Black-winged kite. Black bird. Black pilot. Same initials.
At GARM, either Miller or Chikane rat you out. This, as well as the dirt in his hideout, is enough to prove it's Chikane.
>Eidos are pretty good at avoiding that topic
That's the problem with Eidos Montreal.
I managed to prevent the poisoning and stop Marchenko from blowing up the building and got an achievement for it. Was that something special? I saw literally no other way to get to Marchenko without going through the room where Brown was. Is it just because I was sanic fast? When he said "immediately" it was actually a matter of time, and not indicating a trigger where if you prevent poisoning then he'd blow up the building?
Apparently it's a 10 minute window. I fucked around plenty yet did the two in time, so I dunno
Yeah you have to do it quick. Though I went in two different directions to reach Brown and Marchenko.
Yeah, won't disagree there.
So wait
Okay
What if
We took Adam's armblades
And
Hear me out here
Replaced them
With stun prods?
My fucking face when Doctor Waifu is actually Illuminati agent
Son of a bitch, I gave it some consideration, but I dismissed it pretty early into the game. But it does kind of make sense considering how she got information on Marchenko.
Which leads me to my second question. What the fuck is the angle of Head Honcho Illuminati guy in the post-credits scene? Does he know more about Jensen than the others?
>Which leads me to my second question. What the fuck is the angle of Head Honcho Illuminati guy in the post-credits scene? Does he know more about Jensen than the others?
He's responsible for what happened to Adam after Panchaea, including having the experimental augs implanted along with some sort of false memories that we don't know about. They are using him to get close to Janus but there is most certainly something more going on.
>Does he know more about Jensen than the others?
Yes, but there's more.
Jensen got stuck at one of his blacksites, where he got the silly magic augs. It's also implied that Jensen may have been brainwashed into going after Janus.
>Head Honcho Illuminati guy
That's Lucius DeBeers. He says he's cold.
Sounds like a real cool guy.
