Best thing about XV releasing is that SE will finally release new info on this and we'll probably get another gameplay trailer before the year is out.
Final Fantasy VII remake
I hope so
people here will just call everything shit and cry how FF is dead (again)
>that reveal trailer
>dead
alright Jim
Will there be a new announcement at PSX this year? Them moving the event to December seems like a good chance for SEnix to announce anything 7R related.
This.
I really hope that Agni Tech Demo becomes something.
I was really wishing that they could stabilize Luminous, but it seems like they'll be moving to UE4 for future projects.
It was just a tech demo showing off their engine m8 same thing as the PS3 trailer featuring FF VII
the engine that they're not using for shit
but they're remaking that
>that feel when didn't get the Midgard Dynamic PS4 Theme last December for buying the regular version of VII
>still just using the default theme because all of the good themes are tied to pre-orders and never available for sale
bad idea to use the FFVII tech demo as an example haha
>Play it first on PS4
PC Release confirmed
Best party is Cloud/Cid/Yuffie
Didn't they end up using the tech demo in the ending sequence for Crisis Core?
>it's getting to the point where PC want the remasters
do PC owners even have any games at this point? that's bottom of the barrel shit
Nah, that was CG
& if rumor's about third-party support going toward Nintendo are true it may very well come to the switch I'd wager we may even get some last gen games like pic-related
You guys think they'll release the first disc on the 20th anniversary next year or just show some gameplay?
Cloud looks chinkish in the tech demo. Glad they changed that.
I hope they reconsider the episodic plan and just release the game when it's finished.
Out of those two options, a gameplay trailer seems more likely, MAYBE a demo like the Platinum Demo
>I hope they reconsider a guaranteed cash cow in favor of releasing only one game getting much less profits then they would get if they sold the thing to fan idiots piecemeal
You know they won't go back on their plans for episodic remake so don't even get your hopes up.
Was CC2 handling the series this go-around?
>mfw I never got the secret trailer from playing GZ
seeing how TPP turned out that may have been a good thing
SE recently trademarked the complete version of the engine with the explicit intent to use it for multiple games.

COMING TO SWITCH IN 2017!!
With XV, Yeah, it looks so fucking dead. I just hope VII Remake will be different.
Does anyone know the song that Noctis is listening to on the radio at the very beginning of the Omen trailer? Thanks
lel
>so creatively bankrupt that theyake a Nomura spin-off a mainline game
>actually going through with 7R already
>mobage
>WoFF
>XIV
Its over.

No thanks, I don't want to wait til 2020 to play it.
Impatient faggots like you are why VIDYA is so shit and rushed/unfinished nowadays.
can't wait to play this on my Nintendo Switch
FF7 remake is going to be a huge disappointment for everyone. Just calling it now 10-29-16, screencap this.
No.
XV is looking better by the day, FF is long from dead.
I hope so. Xbots don't deserve it
Probably something at PSX
I'd just like concrete info on what episode 1 will be. It will probably just be Midgar, and honestly it might be suck a long project that I only give a shit about playing Midgar.
Literally ALL I care about is running around midgar and other towns with the iconic music revamped for 2017. The game can be complete shit and I won't care one bit, it will be so wonderful.
>tfw boss music for the first time and..
Post your favorite tracks
>Best thing about XV releasing is that SE will finally release new info on this
I'd imagine that the next thing we'll be getting is a year of XV DLC shilling.
Nah, it FF will be DED before 7remake even out XV will be blunder of century.
Why do people keep saying episodic? This never came out of squares mouth. They said they're expanding it into a trilogy.
>caring
It will be shit. Square Enix don't make good games anymore.
Regular FF is so damn bad the MMO game is better and a truer FF game.
Am I the only one who thinks that Cloud looks like Link now?
literally twins
XIV is the best FF in a long time.
Isn't it one of their most profitable sections too?
Underrated youtu.be
It has nothing to do with the multi-installment format though.
I wish Cloud looked this buff in the remake
>XV is looking better by the day,
The most recent footage of the game gone gold crashed and had tons of bugs.
The game looks like absolute shit.
>World of Final Fantasy
>Final Fantasy XV
>Kingdom Hearts II.8
>Final Fantasy XII Zodiac Age
>Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood
>Dissidia Final Fantasy
>Kingdom Hearts III
>Final Fantasy VII Remake
>Final Fantasy Type Next
I'm so happy to be a FF fan. I hope SE announces a game set in the Ivalice universe and/or Final Fantasy XVI at E3 next year.
>I really hope that Agni Tech Demo becomes something.
My exact wish as well. Agni looked like a great character. She seems to be a red mage and I think she summons Valefor.
I'm worried about VII remake and XV. They're essentially the HL3 of squeenix's property. It doesn't matter how good they are as games, they're never going to live up to the now decades of expectations they're accumulated.
XV will be good and rated well, but people will complain about the mid-game drag and the linearity. VII remake will appeal to the advent children audience, only a fraction of the humor will survive.
>XV will be good and rated well, but people will complain about the mid-game drag and the linearity
FFXV is a pretty massive and semi-nonlinear game. Its the endgame that is mostly linear.
also kh3
>dat Cloud
BARA AS FUCK
>Origins (PS1) version of Final Fantasy I and II
>The steam version of the originally 3DS remakes of Final Fantasy III and IV
>GBA version of Final Fantasy V
>PS1 version of Final Fantasy VI
>Original PS1 version of Final Fantasy VII, VIII, and IX
>PS2 version of the international version of both Final Fantasy X and X-2 (emulated)
>PS4 version of Final Fantasy XII international version
>PC version of Final Fantasy XIII
>FFXIV with Heavensward
This is the correct way to play all FF games.
The console overheated due to being in a shit display case and they have another entire month to work out bugs for a day one patch. The progress they've made during the delay so far is astonishing.
>But the delay was supposed to kill the day one patch
No, it was to make the base game before the day one patch less buggy. That doesn't mean they're just not going to patch it.
Square enix really pisses me off with their stupid "episodic release". So far none of the games have been worth getting when the first episode comes out and by the time they are all out, you'd think they would have a steady budget to finish the games properly, but that has not been the case. Prime example being life is strange.
Hell, they unofficially make full priced games "episodic". SECRETLY! Like mankind divided. It just stops when things are getting interesting and they have atleast 2 sequels planned. Good job square.
While I remake of FF7 might be OK, I believe that the episodic release thing will destroy any potential it might have.
>tfw the FF7 trailer had better graphics than anything shown of FF15 at any point
>tfw it's on the same platform
>tfw ultra downgrade is imminent
XV's graphic got fuck because of Warp Strike and IP engine.
FFVII is on UE4, so no it won't be much worse looking. XV is on some new swuare engine that they don't know how/was never intended to be used for a game like ffxv
I stopped caring once I found out part 1 was confirmed to just be Midgar.
>Final Fantasy VII remake
People are still hyped for this travesty?
>was confirmed
It wasn't.
>some new swuare engine that they don't know how/was never intended to be used
Why does it sound so plausible
Really? I could've sworn I read about it somewhere.
Until FF7 remake is on store shelves I don't believe for a fucking moment that it's actually happening
I'm going to hijack this thread, does anyone know how to find the soundtrack during the cerberus fight? youtu.be
Steam
They're hyping it up because it's shit. They want good sales so this is the only way Til kh3 comes in 2017 and ff7 come out next November/December
I sure as hell hope so, even if the first "episode" is just an expansion on the Midgar section.
The delay was to avoid a day patch, but it wasn't the only reason for the delay. They needed to work on shit they had no confidence in making, open world. They guy said it himself
This guy gets it.
Yes
I mean, look at XV. It's happening. Sure it may have taken 10 goddamn years but it's happening at least.
Nah, Luminous is now finished and SE already confirmed they will still use Luminous in future games.
The only reason why no other game was using it right now was because the engine was being finished alongside FFXV since all of Luminous devs were assigned to that. Now that XV is finished so is Luminous. That's why they used UE4 for KH3, 7R and others since those devs aren't experienced in Luminous but still need an engine to work with, so with all Luminous devs assigned to XV they had the KH3 and 7R devs use UE4 for those otherwise their development would be pushed back if they had to wait for Luminous to finish.
And now we've seen XV final build Luminous stabilized really well on consoles.
>modern squeenix
>episodic
>post advent children ff7
>good
the dream is dead
Nah, Expect more info on KH 1.5 & 2.5 Ps4, 2.8, and 0.5. Then some Eidos games. Then maybe a teaser of nothing for FFVII.
I'm just glad Cloud has a jawline befitting his age. One of my biggest issues with the Compilation is the fact that Cloud looked like a twelve year old boy.
Probably, but this is of little actual consequence to anyone but the most narrow-minded of faggots. What people should be asking is is it fun in spite of the changes??
Say what you want about changes, but even the hate against DmC would have been mitigated if the gameplay was actually fun. Fun factor can be a huge factor in someone's opinion on a game, no matter their grievances.
>That's why they used UE4 for KH3, 7R and others since those devs aren't experienced in Luminous but still need an engine to work with
it's a lot less because of that and because UE4 is well-optimized and easy to work with, and VIIR/KH3 are big titles that they don't want to take TOO much risk with, and no matter how you look at it, Luminous, at the time said games began development (and even still) is in serious need of some work before it's something they should be confident with.
It didn't crash, the PS4 overheated. And you are posting outdated stuff even still
>tfw the FF7 trailer had better graphics than anything shown of FF15 at any point
No it didn't. And XVs visuals have only improved over the last few months too.
Dude the primary reason is because all Luminous devs were assigned to XV, no one else at SE had experience with it, so they had those teams use UE4 because it's the only somewhat comparable engine that they could have used since it has good documentation.
Luminous from start to finish took 6 years to complete, that's actually really good considering UE4 took 10 years from start to finish before a single game was used with it.
I don't think we'll get any 7R info so soon after XV's release. They'll want people to focus on that game for a while. E3 should prove to be a well of info on the game.
>actually going through with 7R already
>already
Yeah. 20 years later is too soon. They should have waited for the 50th anniversary, that way all the original fans would be dead and there would be no one to criticize the changes they'll make.
>episodic
>''changing'' the story
>some inbetween soulless mashy combat with a XIII ATB slapped on to try and keep people happy
I've never been so hyped during a trailer and lost all hope in the following week or two of news.
>SE already confirmed they will still use Luminous.
>Believe this blatant lie.
You poor dude.
Compilation of FFVII was a mistake.
And what lie is that? Luminous is finished now. That's the main reason they hadn't been using it for other games, because they were finishing Luminous alongside XV. Every game engine when being made is also made with a game to prove that engine, for Luminous that game is XV.
>Finishing Luminous along side XV
>Finish
Yeah, no doubt both of them will be 'finish'
XV was confirmed gold yesterday user.
>He don't get it.
Well, whatever.
SE already trademarked Luminous Studio Pro and already used that trademark in TGS 2016. It's finished.
