This has the worst opening to a game I've ever seen, nothing makes any sense.

The entire story is shit. I dont even know why Square bothers with these. Just make a straight forward fun simple story.

I assume the intro will make sense later on, but it's a very poor hook to just have people talk like you're supposed to understand anything.

I don't get why Reynn sees the Mirage on Lann's head at the start and says 'You really ARE all ears today" then later on outside the coffee store it's like, surprise you havd a miage on your head!

No context to their 'normal life' so Enna says 'You always were blank blahb lah' it literally means nothing.

What are some surprise encounters that you still managed to come out on top? I went in expecting a fight with some fenrirs and got this bullshit. Still caught them.

SE should had released this on ps4 and pc. Why is Japan forcing the vita to run this gen?

Handhelds are comfy for these types of games. You can always play the PS4 version if you want graphics.

But Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 specifically set up a little world building and backstory first, this literally goes into a quite frankly bizarre barrage of seemingly non sequiturs and sentences about stuff without any context whatsoever.

Lann wakes up and goes to work, says he's going to be late. Okay...does he realise he has a Fox on his head or what? Reynn comes in, seems to realise it, then doesn't point this out, yet Lann is surprised by it later.

Enna shits a load of info on you, it's like we're supposed to think the old life was a lie, orsomething, but we literally got a 5 minute taste of what his job is like. They say later on 'It makes sense that we'd have parents" like we knew that they assumed they had none or something.

KH2 arguably has too much of this in the other direction, but at least when it all goes tits up it makes, this is like the equivalent of KH2 starting in the last 30mins of Roxas' last day.

And the tutorial is still retarded, so it's notl ike they're going for a speedy hook, I'm being stopped every 2 minutes.

I loved the demo but good god this shit is infuriating so far, I feel like I haven't played the game at all.

I can only speak to KH1, but I've always found it really off that I have no idea what the whole context behind destiny islands is. It seems like it's just a island near their home where they dick around on, but that's not the sense I get at all. It feels really surreal being free of adults or any real world concerns, and them sort of wanting to build a raft and escape. We see a glimpse of Sora's house, but after he gets spirited away we never hear any mention of his family or home ever again, just chasing after Sora and Kairi (and what about the other kids on the island?)

It's not as bad as the start of WoFF, but it's still really alienating for the player.
