The weapon variety is amazing. Even such things like powerstancing add more depth to the pvp. DS3 weapons were just boring, each weapon of the same type was usually identical.

it's amazing what they accomplished with the DS2 weapon system, and how they fucked it up so much with DS3

That has gotta be one of my favorite bosses if not my favorite from all Souls
The entire level sets him up, collecting the knights to kill the guards first and his entrance are all so fucking great.
The fight itself is so fucking fun too

most people play pvp at level 120 or 150 in Dark Souls 2. The 250 meta doesn't exist because at that point you've reached the soul memory cap and can just go up to level 700 and still be in the same bracket

The agape ring was a shitty "solution" and didn't fix anything.

I had the most fun with bloodborne because it was fast and hard. Demons Souls had the best tone and setting but i ended up playing Dark Souls 2 the most, maybe because it was easy to make a new character for pvp but i just liked the how many builds you could make in the game and new game + actually felt like it was intended and not tagged on like in the other games. Dark Souls 2 had it flaws but its fun to play and motivates to play diffrent playstyles. Also the DLCs are great

Almost every weapon was PvP viable aside from shit God Fist, Blind, and a few other weapons. Every single short axe, large axe, polearm, short sword, large sword, mace, curved sword, Katana, and rapier was viable in PvP. The worst weapon types were daggers and knuckles. Knuckles eventually found a gimmick that made them strong while daggers were still usable.
