No.
That shit is the very reason you cant discuss klonoa games without furfaggotry ruining it.
All we can hope is thats its well recieved enough to bring want for a new game.
klonoa was my first vidya crush
I'll watch it with my pants around my ankles
Wahoo!
>Are you going to cry, Sup Forums?
I'm crying tears of joy right now.
Later, i will cry tears of sorrow.
Ill cry if the movie sucks ass and I get to experience the nail in the coffin one more time
The nail in the coffin is always shit advertising.
It's okay, you will be the only one in the theater that showed up for the premiere, and nobody will see you cry.
The fact that Klonoa is getting love again is already making me tear up a bit.
literally who?
An unsung hero of bygone days, whose only flaw is that Namco can't market to save their lives.
Who do you think is funding all this?
Is it Mohammed from Qatar?
This is Sup Forums. Horrible people will post horrible shit, and edgy edgelords will also pretend to be horrible to fit in.
I want to put my feature-length production in Klonoa's Wahoo
You won't be able to, since he'll inflate you before you could come close enough.
And give someone a boner while doing so.
You'd think a character that can literally expand dong would be more popular...
Do you REALLY want a character become more popular by attracting more degenerates?
If you do, you don't really love him.
He's already niche enough. Downplaying the fetishes instead of catering to them is the way to go to revive the series.

Plot twist:
Mohammed is a proxy for Hitoshi Ariga.
The movie will have a quick scene of Klonoa reading Rockman Megamix and watching Classic Game Room.
Well, it might manage to bring in a profit. A decent-looking anime is extremely cheap to make compared to video games.
They can get a six-figure budget for this, r-right?
Yes, we can. Ariga has plenty Pokémon royalties, and as long as Pokémon exists, he'll keep getting them
An HD 2D game like the GBA games, but with a story like the PS games would be nice too. Hell, WayForward's 2D work looks great, if Bamco don't want to do it themselves, they could outsource it to them.
If Ariga is personally funding this endeavor and just using Henshin as the distributor in the West, he has his money from making all those Megaman manga and the Pokemon he designed.
That should be enough to make something decent in an animation studio. Maybe.
...
And yet furfaggotry used to be banned on site for specifically the reason mentioned. Oh, but neo-Sup Forums isn't real, of course.
I miss those days. Remember when it was announced Dream Champ Tournament was getting a western release?
This legitimately upsets. me. Bamco is so shit at advertising, I'm honestly surprised Tales of games actually sell.
I hope Aragi and Henshin is aware the lack of publicity is what killed Klonoa in the west.
What would you want to see in the film?
>film will be done digitally
No thanks, anime today is fucking shit.
Shut up, Dobson.
>I'm honestly surprised Tales of games actually sell.
Tales didn't begin even selling much as a series until Namco let Nintendo market Symphonia as an exclusive RPG for the Gamecube.
>anime
No.
Really? I would have expected Eternia at least to be somewhat popular, if only through word of mouth.
>live action Klonoa
What if it's done CGI in an updated version the PS1 FMVs?
Fucking hell, seriously?
Not as popular as Symphonia. Nintendo of America pushed it pretty hard. I remember lots of adverts in Nintendo Power.
To many, Symphonia was their first Tales game, and first RPG.
It was the FF7 of the Gamecube.
When a lot of Tales fans (at least, in the West) think of Tales, they think fondly of Lloyd and Symphonia.
What if make a fucking game instead of animeshit??????
I remember in my country, Nintendo also pushed Symphonia hard, it was one of the "must have" games for GameCube owners back in middle school.
What if the movie is a success, renews interest in the franchise, and actually helps and funds a new game, Mr. Contrarian?
twitter.com
So, 2D confirmed? Low budget anime still looks better than low budget CGI. As long as it spends enough time in post-production, anyways.
Anyone with a twitter account should hurry up and tell them that.
>it'll be a bonafide anime
Good
Hopefully it'll be extremely cute and have gorgeous animation and result in another game getting made.
CGI is shit. 2D or bust.
You're both retarded
You're also retarded
>all the furfags on twitter who've never played the games thinking it will be cute
It won't have a happy ending
Is Ariga that rich?
And, more importantly, is he really that big of a fan?
If not Ariga, Rob Pereyda has a pretty prominent position at Viz Media, so he can fund this movie
If he wasn't a big fan, do you really think he would be funding a movie of a dead series just because he worked on a dead webcomic before its premature cancellation?
He loves the games.
When he streamed his live drawing of the webcomic, nothing but Klonoa music was playing in the background.
I really wish someone would translate Ariga's Klonoa-related tweets so we could find out more information on this.
I am more interested that Hideo Yoshizawa, the creator of the series, made a twitter account just to talk to Henshin and Ariga.
He might get on board with Ariga's team and make the movie canon
I thought it was just a retelling of the first game?
It's early development, so who knows?
It might end up being Klonoa 3 if all else fails for completing the series.
I think that just happened. Ariga started following him, so it must be real.
it's going to be in the first game's world, but it's a new story
Man, this really needs to do well. I NEED Klonoa 3 guys :(
...
I found two images from Arai Yoshihiko's (Klonoa's original designer) twitter account. Just Moos, but still neat.
twitter.com
It's a sketch he did 15 years ago when Klonoa 2 was in production.
twitter.com
Eriko Imura (composer of songs like Untamed Heart, Closing Encounter, Grandpa's theme, Lolo's theme, etc.) found some plushes in a store that she thought looks like Moos. So Arai drew this.
Not only that, according to his twitter posts, he wants the movie to be in Phantomilian with subs.
He's an autist-tier rich fanboy. This will be amazing.
Already confirmed it's not a remake of Door to Phantomile, but set in the same "continuity", as Door and Lunatea's.

Stop giving them replies.
the animation is going to be shit if they're not outsourcing to kyoani desu
>It won't have a happy ending
Being sad doesn't stop something from being cute
Our Klonoa is already almost 19th. He's grown up and coming back.
>hes legal now
>Where were you when you invited Klonoa his first drink
>feeling nostalgic and was listening to some of the old Klonoa osts recently

>Werent in the thread from yesterday
It lasted almost an entire day and it hit post limit without much annoyance from furfags.
It was comfy.
>drinking age 18
>giving klonoa a vb and talkin mad bantz with him in some aussie pub
guess it could be euro or something as well

I wouldn't want it any other way.
Think they'll offer free tacos for the tickets pre-order?
>Dandy Jojo
>not Dandy of the North Star
Man I'd love to see a movie / anime based on Lunatea's Veil
In a perfect world, Klonoa would've succeeded and shovelware like Call of Duty would've perished.
>2D
>not 2.5D
GET OUT
I want it 2.5D but I doubt Bamco would risk it again. But it's their shitty marketing to blame.
who's this sonic character
>canon
Then it would have to be non-canon to all the mobile games, since those have no continuity
Yiff in hell furfag.
...
A 2.5D game that looks like Lunatea would be super cheap to make, since simple graphics don't cost much.
Plus, the unique gameplay is part of what makes the series stand out. And to succeed and sell copies you NEED to stand out.
The 2D-3D interaction with the foreground and background gimmick would work perfectly for the 3DS.
Just saying that Klonoa 3DS would be nice.
>And to succeed and sell copies you NEED to stand out.
And this is why Klonoa didn't sell, because Namco's shit marketing did not allow Klonoa to stand out. It only stands out for all 20 of us who actually played the game.
>1st game on PS1
>2nd game on PS2

Why is Klonoa so perfect?
>Correcting Jojo references to be FOTNS
Huh, I thought I was the only one who did this
I don't know.
He's so dreamy my heart goes aflutter much like his ears just thinking about him.
Don't undersell the imaginative designs and settings, decent stories, and amazing music user. Those all work together with the gameplay to make Klonoa games what they are.
Good taste anons. Then again, the games are so high quality, there aren't really any bad answers
What was your initial reaction to seeing this news?
Level: Either Maze of Memories or The Kingdom of Sorrow. The Moon Kingdom is also pretty great, though. Fuck, I can't choose.
Boss: Joka. Everything leading up to it and the cutscene afterwards certainly helps.
I'm still in shock.
