No bugfixes were added. In fact, instead of fixing a physics engine based on FPS, they implemented a gpu throttling program that forces the game back down to 60 any time it goes above.

did you ever see how badly skyrim was on ps3? it ran at like 500p resolution, barely hit 22 frames per second, like 5 minute load times, graphics on a lower setting that the lowest settings on pc, etc. now consolefags have more playable version and they even have mods (although ps4 won't be getting any good mods because sony is retarded. but xbox one already has some good mods like atlernate start and open cities).

the new version is objectively better to the old version. is it a HUGE improvement for pc players? no. but it was given to us for free so who cares. it's mainly a boost for consolefags and modder nerds.

Is is even possible to run heavily modded skyrim at 60 fps? I'm not talking about gaming with 15 light scripted mods, but 150+ esp collections with tons of custom meshes, textures, tweaks, merges and performance heavy ENB. I found that despite the fact that oblivion only uses 20% of my CPU and like 30% of my GPU I simply cannot make it stable 60 fps no matter what I do with performance heavy texture packs. The situation is even worse with Skyrim, where I've heard people are okay with 40-50 fps range just because the game "looks good" and "you will never be able to achieve stable 60fps anyway". Is the engine that shit? Is modding community a fucking joke?

What's interesting about the engine is that they are working on FO4 VR which absolutely NEEDS to run at a solid 90fps. We all know how these games act when you go higher than 60fps so I'm wondering what they plan on doing. If they opt for untying the physics and fps then that might trickle down to flatscreen versions.
