Pretty entertaining, but is often wrong about subjects and refuses to be told otherwise. Most of his knowledge comes from larping or small ammounts of re-enactment.

His reenactment experiments often give an interesting perspective, but oftentimes he seems to have done rather little (or worse, selective) research on the state of the art. Also his oh so quirky Rand Paul style libertarianism and his rule Britannia boner are quite annoying when he jerks himself into a frenzy.

In my opinion the most retarded video he's ever made was the one where he claimed the reason the American Civil War had such a huge bodycount was because the armies didn't follow Napoleonic tactics, as if nobody had ever explained the difference between smoothbore muskets and rifles to him. That's not just retarded, it's a type of retarded with a 150-year-old lineage, because European tacticians of the era were spouting the exact same shit up until World War 1 explained to them why they were wrong.

MG42s were called Spandaus at times in british ww2 accounts. It's where he got it from. Wasn't a good idea to use images of MG34s when talking about MG42s though.
