What was the point of neutering so many of the older mini-games and forcing you to slog them in order to get to the meat of the game?

Teaches you to git gud before the harder levels.

The series was always meant to help casuals get a sense of rhythm, but it was too hard for them.

It's still too hard for casuals.

Honestly I have no idea. The previous games managed just fine without several hours of boring-ass tutorials. I guess it was just to pad out the length of the game with recycled assets. I could forgive it if the music was good, but it isn't! All the nerfed classic minigames only got worse!

It was a little boring, but it's a very small fraction of the game.

I think the challenge trains more than make up for it.

I didn't mind that they made a casualized version of some games, because you could play the normal version later, but what I really hated was the dumb story and characters.
Shit nigga I don't care about some fag who has a donut fetish I just want to fucking play some rhythm games.

>still no eur cia

Anyone here beat Copycats?

Yes even got it on perfect.

>that red difficulty coin flip game

woah i cant believe sakamoto forced a story in a game that didnt need one

It becomes way easier if you hum the song.

Copycats is the Challenge Train level with 6 mimicking levels in a row on a high tempo. You can't mess up in four of six of them.

Oh no I thought it was the one with cats clapping.

This was the hardest challenge train by a large margin. Only one I had to try multiple times on.

Alien translator 2 (not sure what its called in english since I did it on the Jap version) is by far the hardest of the bunch. To beat it, you HAVE to use both buttons and the Dpad to mimic the later patterns fast enough.

Second Contact is so fucking hard in Copycats. The last few patterns are VERY strict.

Working Dough 2 is easy, though.

>Beat it using simple tap
Felt so satisfying after having failed so many times. Am I good or bad? Buttons and dpad felt weird not being on a wiimote, and DS games felt more natural with simple tap.

There are roads that a pony must travel

I don't think there's anything different. They didn't even bother changing the script into British English, or the wii versions of text for the wii games

Yeah but I can't use the multiplayer mode with the us version

The goat feeding minigame was the best thing to come out of this.

Demon Slayer is so much fun, doing the last stage mach speed is the best
