They were typically spot on but like mythbusters, the amount of research done wasnt enough to make a definitive conclusion all the time. There were times where it felt like there was too much confirmation bias.
I do have to say that while I thhink overall the show is decent, I think they both grew a bit intellectually from making it. This is really visible in their fool us series and several other talks they do.

It's not that they were "always right" so much as it was they said the shit everyone knows is true but are too afraid to talk about for fear of "offending" someone.
