5 dolla
$351
Nothing costs 351 dollars.
ten thousand dollars and sixty cent would definitely be too high.
200
599
$150
I know it won't be $199.99, but it should be. Let's face it, it's a jack of all trades sub-HD hybrid, and the only reason anyone wants it is to get inside Nintendo's walled garden so they can play a god damned Zelda game.
ur mum does
>My mom costs more than many model pornstars do for an hour long session
That's a huge compliment, oh my god, thank you.
I know there's very little chance of it but I'm still gonna hope for the option of different colors for this thing. It should be easier than ever since the side of the screen is detachable, couldn't be more than 20 bucks for the two of them.
Just to be clear...
So you'd buy one at 350?
So you'd buy one at 599?
I'm hoping they hit 249.99.
I would honestly buy one for $400
Probably being a nintendrone but I think it's an ok price $500 would be too much however
>What price would you consider too high for the Switch?
Honestly, considering a ps4 can be had for 300?
250.
And who knows if ps4 will see a price drop or not this holiday season. If it does that might hurt nintendo a bit.
>an hour
no m8, thats your mom for whole life, her price to became a 24/7 sexslave
$200-250 would be acceptable if it had a decent launch line up.
Anything over $400 is a fucking robbery because
>It wont have shit for games at launch
>The battery life for the tablet is probably trash
>All those unnecessary hardware gimmicks that nobody wanted
>Specs havent been released yet
I refuse to buy the Switch until it has 5 solid games. And by "solid" I mean games that arent kiddieshit or ports.
>Anything over $400 is a fucking robbery because of a bunch of stuff I don't know yet
The tech in the switch is far more advanced though.
$300 wouldn't be unreasonable for what is essentially a portable ps4 actually.
Bad followup.
It would be absurd to sell such hardware any cheaper than 400 dollars.
Anything above $250, and even anything above $200 is pushing it.
We need to know more about it before I commit. Right now I would pay 250 dollars. I'll pay closer to 300 if it's actually as powerful as an Xbox One
>what is essentially a ps4
From what I understand, that's a gross overstatement of its performance. Regardless, generally, technical specs aren't the main reason I get a console. If nintendo can't deliver on third and first party exclusives of interest then it's a doorstop.
It's closer to a weaker Xbox One, which is itself a weaker PS4.
>a portable ps4
At most, it's a portable 360.
As I hear it, yes.
And portability is of no interest to me, so it has to sell itself on games pretty hard and fast.
$250 if it's only going to have first party support
$350 if it has long term 3rd party support like overwatch, battlefield 1, etc.
When's Sony going to deliver on any games at all?
Nintendo tries to sell consoles at a profit because they know their shit is a free, open platform a month after release.
I'm personally taking not paying for games into account when I look at the price, but honestly I'd avoid it if it were over $300.
>OW
>BF1
Everyone wants third party support but fuck your taste man.
In terms of shit it can do with shaders alone is enough to push it some steps over the 360, even if the raw power be the same.
I think it will be good at pretending it is as good as a Xbox one.
You know, like PSP is good at pretending it is as powerful as a PS2.
Theres no way that the Switch is up to speed with a PS4 because that would mean that the tablet would have to be as well.
NIGGER I USED THOSE AS EXAMPLES FUCK OFF
Nintendo has lost my trust because of the Wii U and everyone knows that Nintendo doesnt learn from their mistakes. Anybody who isnt caustious about the Switch is a retard.
>at most
Dude, the Wii U is twice as powerful as a 360.
Anyone that falls for any sort of hype is retarded.
The Wii U isn't portable.
>The Wii U isn't portable.
Stupidest east thing I ever heard
>tfw MHXX is going to be a 3DS game before the switch comes out
>no monster hunter edition of the Switch when it comes out
$500 bundle with Mario maker switch
There's a couple games of interest on the PS4 as far as I'm aware.
Which isn't enough.
But the switch has one announced title that interests me.
Also not enough.
its going to be 300 or 299
350 its a doa and 399 a no way jose
They could possibly just release MHXX as an HD port for the Switch since by the time they localize it the 3ds will be dead.
Or they'll just pull another portable 3rd and make it never ever.
$300
350 seems to be the sweet spot, depending on specs.
Nothing more than $250 since the pro controller will likely be sold separately
I would buy this console immediately if those were official colors.
$200
301
Bloodborne is better than anything Nintendo put out for the Wii U. Stop being a consolewar faggot.
For just the portable console and the dock? I think it needs to be $299 or less to be a market success, so I'll say $300.
Personally, I would pay more if it turned out to be a particularly nice piece of hardware. In a fantasy world where it has an enormous battery that lasts 6 hours, I'm probably willing to pay up to $400 for it.
>all these poorfags and NEETs saying that it should only be like 200 bucks
Isnt that the price of a fucking 3DS xl?
Or the Wii when it came out. 200, 250, somewhere around there.
>people thinking that Nintendo would or should sell an advanced console for under 400 dollars
250 dollars.
It's going to be a 32 GB internal storage (force you to buy micro SD or something similar), the resolution is 720p (worse than my phone I bought like eight years ago), it's weak as shit with a mobile GPU, and I'm never going to bring it outside.
All I fucking wanted was a PS4 with Nintendo games.
"B-but three companies all doing the same thing would be boring!"
Good. They solved this shit like two fucking decades ago. No gimmicks. No weird controllers. No bullshit. Power. Games. That's all the core audience ever fucking needed.
Also:
>Trying to go for the mobile tablet audience fucking AGAIN when all the casuals are still on their phones
>Bloodborne is better than anything Nintendo put out for the Wii U
What about Bayonetta 2
It would not be boring.
It would kill nintendo, almost instantly.
Bloodborne is way better than Cutscenetta 2.
tfw waiting for games to be announced for this system b4 buying it. nintendo will not trick me again with their wii u.
The release price of the NES through to the gamecube was 200. The wii was 250.
And the Wii U, of course, was a colossal flop.
Gameboy came out at 90 dollars.
Adjusted for inflation, the gameboy was released for about 170.
Gameboy color was 70 at release. Or 100 today.
Gameboy advance, 100, which is about 130 today.
These are the successful systems.
My absolute upper limit will be $350. But realistically, I won't be buying this thing at launch anyway.
Not because of company factionalism or anything. I don't buy any console at launch anymore because they usually suffer a lack of games and hardware and software flaws that need to be worked out.
Like the Wii U's long loading times and needing to manually futz with the DNS settings to connect to wireless or the XBOX 360's infamous Red Rings of Death.
500+
ideal would be 300-450
>all this people thinking 250 dollars is too much
sonyggers in a nutshell.
>I don't buy any console at launch anymore
Someone got the right answer.
Literally all of this.
Nintendo is seriously like trying to deal with a raging alcoholic. They don't learn from their mistakes because they don't know what a mistake is. They don't make sense because they don't know what sense is.
>i want this piece of plastic to cost as much as possible so my favourite company prove its worth
You're mentally ill. Seek help
You are mentally ill. Seek help
>Nintendo
>Delivering on third party
>Not going with their own proprietary, unportable bullshit architecture because fuck our consumers, the industry, and our own stock value like we've been doing since the fucking N64
The lack of a ridiculous hardware or control gimmick 3rd party porters would have to program for like the GC's disks, or the Wii and WiiU's controllers is promising but the lack of processing power this thing will have and controller limitations for local multiplayer sure as FUCK doesn't.
$249.99 + Tax is the most I'll every pay for this thing. To be honest if I was 10 years younger I would have been super excited for this since it would have been the perfect console for me.
400$ would be to much for me, anything past 350$ and its a flop
nintendo sounds like trump desu
Consoles are getting more expensive because the hardware costs more to produce, jackass. Game consoles arent just toys anymore, theyre becoming full-fledged media devices. Nintendo needs to step it up.
250
But it will be HD, 720p portable and 1080p TV.
This statement belies the simple point of fact that if it's not something people want to buy at a price they're willing to pay, they won't.
Wii U failed for lots of reasons, price point included.
The switch, from what has been said, does not accept discs. It's not a full fledged media device and if it can't offer something competitively priced to consoles that ARE, namely, the ps4 at 300, then it dies.
250 is too much
200 would be a good price
150 is what i would pay for that
This is the pricing I'm hoping for
~$199 for the Switch handheld by itself (with the joycons)
+$49 for the system and joycon docks
+$49 for alternate/extra joycons (like with d-pads instead of analog for retro games)
+$49 for the Pro controller
+$10 USB C rapid charger
Games priced at $50
Large library of virtual console games on day one. NES games for $2, NES Mini includes download code (RFID) for the games in the VC.
But people (normies) usually have expendable incomes and will spend outrageous amounts of money on electronics and such just because it looks flashy. Most normies dontncare about the specs of consoles if the consoles allow them to play the games they want.
Don't hold your breath.
>if the consoles allow them to play the games they want.
If it gets games people want and it succeeds, expect a price drop down the line.
If not, Wii U tier.
They need it to be less than $400 or it'll crash and burn worse than Wii U
t. poorfag
money only has the value you give it so think about that
Seven million dollars would be too high of a price.
>WTF WHY IS A HANDHELD NOT AS POWERFUL AS A CONSOLE!?!?!
by the way, it's more powerful than even the Wii U
>the consoles allow them to play the games they want.
Like Battlefield, COD, FIFA, NBA.........
That the Switch wont have past the intial release date. We know this you know this.
They should of released the Switch as tablet for $199 and the actual console to rival the ps4 xbone
>should have*
The price was far from Wii U's problem.
250$ ideal price
300$ acceptable price
350$ kinda outrageous price, expect another Wii U blunder
>350$ no buy.
anything above 300$
>>All those unnecessary hardware gimmicks that nobody wanted
yeah man, fuck Nintendo and their gimmicks
Youre also forgetting that Nintendo makes dedicated games machines when nowadays people use their consoles for tons of reasons
I want the Smach Zero to do well, but I can't help but think that like the Ouya its an idea arriving just a bit too soon. In another year or two we'll have much better amd64 SOC hardware for a handheld and the AMD drivers will be in way better shape.
Just today a bunch of code was committed to Mesa that in initial testing increased performance in Borderlands 2 by 70%, but the open source AMD drivers are still more CPU hungry than the Nvidia drivers and the RadV open source Vulkan driver is still slower than it should be.
anything above $200
anything above $100
>b-but the original Game Boy wasn't expensive!!
Times have changed retard. You can't take hardware out of context and get pissed when Nintendo needs to put an price on a console. Get a fucking job.
lmao
You're acting like price of the Wii U was the only reason it flopped.
The Wii U flopped for many reasons.
If its more then 299.99, I would be shocked and hope it fails
