Bet you can't find any console that has more underrated gems than the first Xbox.

I'll say. Now watch the butthurt Sony ponies claim that nobody cares about the Xbox.
They actually got away with this in a game rated T for teens.
I had the demo version that I played the shit out of.
Every good game on the Wii U is an underrated gem by virtue of being on Wii U
A challenger appears.
That thing is impressive only for the fact that it somehow managed to be an even shittier version of the PS1.
it was decent but the ps2 oh god it was great, playing socom online was amazing
if i was a teen and that was in my game i´d just think its cool
You're clearly stupid and underage so I'm not going to comment on that embarrassment of a post.
You don't use the PS2s online as an argument against the xbox, it just doesn't work.
That is a correct statement
I wasn't trying to make an argument m8
What do I win?

Does anyone still have a functioning one? I mean, i do, but i have a malfunctioning power cable and no controller so I'd have to spend some money to play again. What i was wondering is, how's the video quality on modern television? Is it as blurry and troublesome as with the PS2?
It's a lot better, every game can on Xbox can produce a 480p signal which looks pretty good some games can even give 720p or 1080i
I should really work on it then. I bought controllers etc. for my PS2 because there's a lot of games there that i either never tried or finished, but the video quality is REALLY disappointing, even with a component cable i bought for the occasion. There's a lot of multiplats I'd rather play on the Hueg at this point
I'd recomend you get yourself FMCB, then place a porgram called GSM on your PS2. This will allow you to upscale games on the PS2. Not every game works with though.
No console in current existence, and judging by the quality of games in this generation, for the next few generations will ever hope to match the ps2's extensive and diverse library of games.
It was a system with many experimental games, some were horrendous messes but many had great potential and were insanely good at the time.
Nowadays game devs play it safe with boring sequels or remasters instead of taking risks to create something special.
Have you tried setting your TV to 4:3 aspect ratio? The vast majority of my PS2 games look fine on my HDTV.
Sometimes, depends on the game. It's that many games just appear so blurry, it's more obvious when you move the camera around, like a forced motion blur. Fatal Frame has a noise filter that makes the visuals hard to read. AvP extinction, being an RTS, has character models so small they sometime disappear in the blur, makes it hard to keep up with the game
Nothing unplayable of course, but still, it was unexpected to me

Sony pony here.

The Saturn is notorious for being the ultimate "underrated games" system.
If you count import games then this wins and there's not even any debate.
pic related and the pc engine
get component cables, and if a game supports 480p make sure it runs in that instead of 480i. Didn't the PS2 also have a built in blur or flicker filter?
Too many 3D platformers aka. The Worst Genre.
It does have a handful of cool games though.
