Yep, Inafune and a few of the Japan Studio guys tried to lobby for a PS4 port with the hope of a sequel being greenlit if it did well, but they got shot down by the board.

Because there is no...hype? No buzz in the air? No "this developer that hasnt released anything in a while is attending" or anything equivalent?

Sony is in a real bad spot now.

Not a lot of people are showing interest in the Pro and they're not really having stellar support for it.

If they push the pro too hard, they risk alienating the current userbase by appearing as if they don't care about them. If they don't push it enough they come off as if they don't care about the Pro, in process turning off potential buyers.

They're really gonna be threading the needle with this one, they were in such a lead position too, I don't know what the fuck made them stir the hornet's nest, they've literally become their own competitor.
