Nah, single player campaign was way too fucking easy even on the hardest difficulty.

But the multiplayer along with Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory were the best.

Call of Duty 2 came real close, but you're right OP. One of the best goddamn games ever. I still miss the multiplayer, it had some legendary fucking maps.

it doesn't though, it's pretty mediocre, a WW2 fps shouldn't be fast paced, it should be slow with occasional coordinated burst of fast paced gameplay. The guns still handle like counter strike and it brings nothing unique to the table

I just reinstalled and played airborne again last night after not touching it for years. I remember it being the game i was most hyped for ever. Good times.

Assault and support are both fucking great, thompson is top tho

Riflemans depends on the mods, but overall the german one is always fucking good

MGs are easily countered but mobile players will have an impact on the game

Snipers are good and mobile

Bazookas are trash, but the US secondary weapon is god tier and the german one has the best close range gun in the game

did you even play the game for more than 2 hours? Any decent players can have a great impact with any class

There aren't many if at all WW2 games with singleplayer these days, it's all multi. Not complaining that much but I guess a lot of that stuff is just worn out. Nobody wants to invade Normandy beach for the 50th bloody time or see Stalingrad yet again.
