Reminder that Zhuge Liang & the Shu-Han did nothing wrong
muh benevolence
reminder that zhuge liang is a lying shit and this defeat was not in fact part of his master plan
t. muh ambition
Im gonna go visit my friend Guan Yu ;)
So they summoned a rainstorm with their magic. What of it?
I TOO SHALL JOIN THE BATTLE
my nigga, too many people hate on the only worthwhile kingdom.
Wasn't it amore that he faked going for a medical checkup and then *teleports inside the Nan Commandary behind u* than a visit to the """God""" of war?

Reminder that Lord Zhuge Liang wins even when he loses.
Reminder that Zhuge Liang is a cute loli.
...
Post Zhou Tai.
WE MUST NOT FALL BEHIND
Reminder than Zhuge Liang could have easily ended the conflict at any time he wanted by helping an already established lord, but he chose to carry that faggot Liu Be and sacrifice countless lives in the process, all for the sake of showing he had the biggest cock in the three kingdoms.
I wish they'd release some news on DW9. They said they'd have something that would shake up the series.
Zhuge Liang is a Cleveland Indians fan
>but when he was winning he lost in the end
What about losing
It's driving me nuts too, but I think it's actually a good sign. I hope it means that they're really putting a lot of thought and work into it, truly revamping some of the old systems.
If only he wasn't a butthurt fuck and actually let Wei Yan lead, then they might of fucking succeeded but no, Zhuge Liang had to be a stupid dick and shit on Wei Yan constantly instead
Wei Yan wasn't trust worthy and would eventually turn against Shu, the worst is he was a capable person and at that point there was no many talented officers in Shu.
>always thought dynasty warriors was shit as a kid
>that one x-play episode where they made fun of cao-pi's name
>seeing shitty dialogue from some video clips
>develop interest in chinese language
>4 years studying chinese, fairly fluent
>want to read three kingdoms but can't because dynasty warriors ruined my impression
I JUST WANT TO UNDERSTAND THE CHENGYU REFERENCES TO THREE KINGDOMS
The guy was acting 100% in the intrests of Shu but Zhuge Liang hated him, and if Zhuge Liang hates you then virtually everyone hates you since he had pretty much full sway over everything
Its no wonder that Wei Yan looked untrustworthy when Zhuge Liang was out to get him from the start
Any tips for learning chinese?
What do you mean? the book and the games have little in common
they wrote on his tomb stone 但最终它甚至没有关系!
Watch 3 kingdoms. Trust me.
dont do it f you cant commit a little bit everyday to study or first 3 years.
i know that, but the game has just me disinterested in anything three kingdoms
not the first time i've heard that
did he do anything wrong Sup Forums?
Consider playing the ROTK series by Koei, it's a more serious take on the three kingdoms.
He sided with the bad guys
Good and evil are always reletive
try reading up on the actual history of characters you like in the game
I would recommend Zhang Liao mostly because his historic self basically fought like he was in a real Musuo game
>try reading up on the actual history of characters you like in the game
i tried that. cao cao is my favorite since his wit is something that's talked about a lot. i went to get read his wiki page a number of years ago, but i hate spoilers and realized if i ever get down to reading three kings it would be ruined for me.
i'm in pretty tight mental conundrum anyon.
holy shit dude, he was a literal god
Zhang Liao a best
Go home Shu.
This is a Wei board.
really you are worried about spoilers to RotTK?
The book is biased towards the kingdom of Shu and while it takes things from history it is barely factual and a lot of events and even characters are made up.
If you want a more focused character bio that goes over achivements of histroic selves of charatcers from the game then read up on here
the-archlich.tumblr.com
Its biased towars Wei but it does list each character and what they did in history and even adds a bit of background to some of their actions.
>I'd hate to be spoiled on a 1000+ years old book
Damn son, you like several lifetimes late.
Reminder that Wu is full of backstabbing shits and the worst kingdom
Shut it Liu Bei, go play baby football elsewhere
>really you are worried about spoilers to RotTK?
no its just hard for me enjoy anything with spoilers.
basically, spoiling the three kingdoms by reading up on spoilers will make it that much harder for me to get into it.
Reminder that Yuan Shao only lost due to having a bad cold, he was actually a brilliant leader ahead of his time.
>Pursue
>Do Not Pursue
>tfw pursued Lu Bu after thinking Yuan Shao was just a spineless wimp
>~200 AD
>ever siding with Shu
>He fell for the "Yuan Shao is incompetent idiot" ruse
how good is romance of the three kingdom 13 on steam ? i became recently interrested in the story of the three kingdom by playing tiger knight
Guys I need advice, how do I Cao Cao in Civ V?
Civ isn't a roleplaying game.
Go be more jealous of Kongming even though he saved your ungrateful asses
>that homosexual lite voice
>those rolling balls
i needed this, it's been a rough day.
as in the modded civ or just playing as if you were Cao Cao? if the latter than I honestly don't know, Cao Cao liked Culture, he himself was poet and loved reading so go for a cultural victory I guess? you could quite easily apply all the victory conditions except diplomatic
lets be honest here , who were the good guys irl ?
Cao Cao, by a wide margin. Wu were competent and likable, but still rebels. Shu were straight up dishonorable bandits.
Yellow Turbans
Cao Cao was a good guy. Everyone else were just power hungry cunts. And no Wei wasn't good. Cao Cao was.
Sima Yi
Not so much his sons
He should have sided with Wu. Better fucking talent when he was around.
Liao Hua needs to be a playable character already.p
None of them.
>CaoCao/Wei
Used his connections to build up his own realm. Never proclaimed himself emperor because he didn't want to take any big risks. One of the main reasons why people followed him was them believing that he only wanted to restore the order under his control.
>Shu/Liu Bei
Baby who used his name and title and the talent of others to get where he was. Zhuge Liang was a great man but more of a diplomat than a military strategist: Still: He managed to stand up against a much stronger Wei for a very long time with limited manpower and ressources. Sima Yi respected him for a good reason and on even ground Zhuge might have even won with Shu.
>Wu
A clan who wanted their ancestors land and nothing else. Dreamed of more but failed hard. Might have done more if Sun Ce didn't die-
just out of curiosity, this isn't a chinese circle-jerk right?
you guys are all non-chinese, mostly white-americans/europeans?
i'm just completely mystified by how big of a following three kingdoms gets on this board.
It's fun.
It's one of the only good things about China in general, too.
I'm as white as they come but RTK turned me into a chinaboo. Recently made a cool new friend because we both use the same online handle
Mengde
Wei really did a good job of recovering areas that were aflicted with famine and restarted the Chinese economy which suffered heavy inflation, Cao Cao in general was a pretty good guy to work for'.
>One of the main reasons why people followed him was them believing that he only wanted to restore the order under his control.
False, above all, people followed Cao Cao because he promoted people based on talent, accomplishments and dutifulness. He and his officers ran an extremely efficient administration and passed many reforms that allowed people living under their rule to prosper.
from what I know, most chinamen seem to be ignorant of their own history
>big following
lmao its like the same 50 people every single thread. KT has shat out loads of stuff on the three kingdoms era of China. The Three Kingdoms can feel very "European" with the tales of nobodies becoming heroes, titanic clashes of armies and geniuses creating progress out of strife. It has enough content and characters that a lot of people can find something or someone to like, while not going into an autistic level of detail.
Who fights for the Glory of Wu here?
More like wusses!
I just think its an interesting period of history and one that is not talked about very much considering how many people allegedly died; the 3 kingdoms era claimed as many lives as the mongols did in even less time. It was basically the biggest war the world has ever seen before WW1.
>Wu
>Power hungry
>Page 10
Best girl incoming.
Ma Dao gets me up
Her Japanese voice is too obnoxious.
So, was he retarded because his father drop him? Or was he born with a defect?
It was a miracle that he survived that drop. That miracle didn't come with a future to his kingdom later though. Liu Bei must have dropped hard to make Liu Shan such a retard.
Liu Bei has:
Eaten one of his men's wife.
Spiked his baby after Zhao Yun risked his life to save him
Betrayed as many people as Lu Bu has.
Betrayed his own family.
Employed someone much worse than himself (Zhuge Liang) who had loyal members of Shu executed, and was all-round incompetent.
As much as i like shitting on Liu Bei as well, the whole throwing his baby thing was added in the books to make him look good. Never happened historically.
To add to that, most of Zhuge Liang's accomplishments were actually Liu Bei's doing. He was a charismatic backstabber for sure
What did he do to get shafted so hard in the books and in the games?
Because Zhuge Liang is a scumbag.
>Pursue
>Do Not Pursue
How badly do you think her father would kill you if he found out?
>As much as i like shitting on Liu Bei as well, the whole throwing his baby thing was added in the books to make him look good.
>the whole throwing his baby thing
>added in the books to make him look good
Is spiking your infant like a football an ancient Chinese expression of manliness or...?
cute
He did it because he was angry that one of his best generals risked his life. It was like a shitty and horribly written attempt at showing how much he cared for his men.
Pursue. With my dick.
Thanks to that era's values, it was actually to show how Liu Bei was a grand man.
He valued his generals more than his kid and wife. Wives and children were expendable, a dependable general wasn't.
>Cao Cao in general was a pretty good guy to work for
Risk own life fighting for CaoCao, return home to see CaoCao cucking you
It wasn't just a China thing either. From the Odyssey: "It is entirely seemly for a young man killed in battle to lie mangled by the bronze spear. In his death all things appear fair. But when dogs shame the gray head and gray chin and nakedness of an old man killed, it is the most piteous thing that happens among wretched mortals."
Which wife though.
People back then had a lot of them.
The hottest one. Your other wives are only good enough for Cao Cao's dogs.
he failed to listen to his orders and fell into an obvious trap.
>going through DW withdrawal as there hasn't been a proper DW game in a few years now
>Musou All-Stars won't fill the void
>it won't be dubbed anyway if it even comes out here
I need my overacting Zhao Yun, JP voices only just aren't the same.
dong zhuo
he did nothing wrong.
closet pedo much?
Zhuge Liang didnt trust him because Wei Yan cut off his lords head I think it was Jin Xuan and presented it to Liu Bei wanting to surrender the city and join him.
Zhuge Liang thought if he would turn on his lord whom he served for like 3 years he could turn on Liu Bei.
Worse thing is that Wei Yan's skills were easily equal to the 5 tigers.
Right kingdom, wrong girl
