that's what makes it great. normally when you have a talking head scene like that you zone out on the visuals or only look at the subtitles. putting random boobs on the screen makes it so the viewer will still pay full attention. if the presentation is consistent you can even have serious and dramatic scenes with ass and titty everywhere.

Bullet, Litchi, and Nine all have pretty solid designs. Enough intricacy that they are unique, details that tend to never wind up colluding other elements of the full character, and adherence to three primary colors each, which some secondary colors elsewhere.

Mai's design is pretty bad. It's sexy, yes, but it doesn't really give an impression whatsoever. Bullet looks like she's wearing really punk officer's clothing. Litchi looks like a Chinese waitress with the sexy turned up. Nine is very clearly an exaggerated witch. What the hell is Mai supposed to be? Just some sexy...woman? If nothing else, the strongest element of Blazblue is that the overwhelming majority of characters imply a certain "character" for the huge storybook theme that the story plays on. Mai just looks like some slut, if I'm going to be completely honest.

I'd judge Makoto more harshly for the same problems, but she at LEAST looks like she's vaguely attempting to wear what appears to be wrestling kit modified to look sexier. I can't judge her as harshly when her entire MO is "I'm gonna beat your ass to protect my loved ones!" Though it hurts to see this design when her cloaked attire looks so much better.

I think Queen's Blade stands out for me because the girl's would also be doing glamour/pin-up shots when there was no one there to be admiring their sexy ass.

As someone who doesn't know what this is from. The girl on the far left is actually somewhat intriguing of a character design, though the scar may be a little stereotypical. her jacket really stands out, the bracers are eye catching, and the black and gold is memorable. The rest are an assortment of stereotypes and previously used styles. The panda girl isn't bad though. Her style stands somewhat apart.The three to the right are pretty hot, but I've seen a dozen exactly like them before.
