How the fuck is it that MGSV OST received more awards than Bloodborne's? (directly competing against bloodborne in most cases)
MGSV ost is absolutely forgettable, in fact there are only TWO memorable songs in the OST: Quiet's theme and Sins of the Father. SOTF plays once during that awkward jeep ride and never again. The extended OST has The other shadow, which is good. And thats it, the rest of the soundtrack is completely forgettable. In fact I'm sure that 95% of people reading this literally cant remember any other song aside from the 2 I mentioned.
Plus the production of the songs in itself was terrible. MGSV ost was produced in a studio, using auto tune for Joost and heavy post production for Burke, as well as a digital orchestra for the rest of the soundtrack. Meanwhile, Bloodborne used an actual LIVE ORCHESTRA recorded in a church and all the sounds are produced by live instruments.
video related, yeah that's just the quality of BB ost. I'm not exaggerating when I say its probably the best video game soundtrack produced in the 21st century.
I've been listening to this for the last few weeks. It's really fucking good, and I haven't even played the game.
Thinking about getting a ps4 this month to play it.
Jeremiah Cruz
because they had to give them SOME sort of award
Kevin Perry
Which is your favorite track so far?
Well it got best graphics didn't it? I mean I understand giving them a prize for pity's sake, but why the best OST prize when this completely blew it out of the water?
Elijah Cox
Ludwig, the Holy Blade with Maria of the Astral Clocktower as a close second
Lincoln Edwards
ayy listen to The one Reborn and Soothing Hymn. Also moonlit melody
Dominic Reed
relax, it doesn't mean shit. just enjoy games and their music too.
Kevin Cook
There's some spoilery songs I suppose. Be careful, but I suppose you've already heard them. Don't ask which ones, however, because then that's just a dead give away.
Christian Davis
>tfw there will probably never be a soundtrack as atmospheric as bloodborne's
Michael Harris
Who fucking cares
Elijah Baker
Not even a Sonypony bitch boy, I bought my PS4 for a media device and an eventual exclusives box after the landslide PS4 was winning and I honestly feel like BB made it worth it.
Matthew Brooks
Because the whole system is rigged and we're only here for the ride.
Charles Powell
>paying 460 dollars for one game
I'm in the wrong profession.
Christian Sullivan
My favorite track is the one that plays during the Living Failures.
Eli Adams
Living failures then (most boss themes are named after the boss)
Samuel Rivera
>implying bloodborne has the most atmospheric soundtrack >forgetting Akira Yamaoka exists
I forget this website is a cesspool of children and casuals pretending to be anything but.
Brandon Thomas
Sorry I like to have actual songs as music, not just distortions and white noise playing in the background
Christopher Perez
Crazy to see that song used in one of the very early trailers.
Grayson Watson
God remember when Sup Forums thought project beast was a fucking mod?
Good times

>MUH KOJIMA There. Questions answered.
Bloodborne was undervalued in general because mainstream sites/reviewers try to think of a "general" normie type person when they're giving out scores. If they think it's a 10/10, they're basically urging everybody they know to rush out and go get it.
Which might be a mistake, because as good as BB is, some people will still not enjoy it. It's not for everybody.
The actual reason, at least for the vga, was that they needed something for a live show and there was no point in putting that horrible joost performance if it wast going to win anything. And they obviously didnt had the money nor the space to get an actual orchestra in there to play a bloodborne suite
Jason Rogers
I'll be honest, Bloodborne didn't have as many memorable tracks as DS1 and Demon Souls
Cameron Cox
I don't ever listen to a video game song and think that I should listen to it again outside the game.
All those boss fight songs are completely forgettable because I'm concentrating on other shit.
The only video game soundtrack I bothered to listen to outside the game was a game I didn't even play, Bionic Commando Rearmed.
