Almost no arcs ends with a Genki Dama, I think you've been watching too many movies.

People aren't mad because someone other than Goku won, people are mad because the show went out of its way to nerfs Vegito to make it happen.

And even then the way Trunks won was complete deus ex machina bullshit. If it was at least written well I'd have no problems with it.

I didn't say that every arc ends with a Genkidama. But I knew that a fusion will never end the villain in Dragonball and the Genkidama is the best thing to obliterate something to the last cell like Buu. After Zamasu went unstable they needed to get a big attack on him to blow him away. I already saw the Genkidama before me but that they give Trunks a Genkidama Sword was a fun surprise. It's more that my expectations were that we will see another standard Genkidama kill

Dragon Ball Z has always had plot holes so that's nothing new in Super. At least Super tries to explain them (even if they are ass pulls, it's still an explanation.)

The characters are still fun, and I'm enjoying the new lore and characters. There was never any tension in DBZ you always knew Goku would win in the end.

Personally I feel like Vegeta should be a bit more chill in Super, after his big moment in the Kid Buu fight where he accepts Goku is better.

I'm not saying he shouldn't still try and surpass Goku and train for it, just be a little less angry about it all the time. I also feel with the shit he did in that fight, working together with Goku to save Earth (as well as giving up his pride to protect again in BoG) he would prioritize actually protecting his family a little more over just having a good fight.

Obviously that's just my opinion and it doesn't mean anything but I really feel like they undid a lot of what Vegeta went through in the Buu saga.

It's due to the fact that they once believed that the Emperor was an actual god and did horrific things in his name. Shinto was also about peace and harmony in nature and shit and was twisted into the Japanese thinking they were superior to everyone else.

So they make stories about religion being used for evil purposes and "gods" being defeated by regular people to subtlety remind them of their own history so it doesn't happen again.

I still think Zamasu is gonna survive somehow. He's from a different universe, so Zeno could end up using him in his super duper tournament of strongest fighters. It's how Toriyama can have Goku deliver the final blow, as is tradition.
