THAT FUCKING DIFFICULTY SPIKE

THAT FUCKING DIFFICULTY SPIKE

One of the hardest areas From has made
>dat poison
>dem nutin personel ninjas
>dem fast assassins
>dem qt fire throwing sluts
>mytha a cute

It also has a lave lake on top of it.

Yes it does, it's still a very difficult area.

Also how were you supposed to know you have to light the windmill to remove the poison for the boss room?

That was actually one of the first times I felt like DS2 was a Souls game. When not just enemies, but the whole environment is hostile to you and feels like it was made just to fuck with the player.
Wouldn't call it all that hard though.

>tfw waking up at before light to play ds2 in it's prime
>tfw listening to nujabes and pvping on the lava bridge each morning
>tfw fighting gank and spankers and CE hackers like Santa
>tfw eyes damaged from it

I don't regret a thing, I wish I could go back.

Man I forgot how good armour looked in Ds2

It was harder than 99% of das areas.

There was a path leading directly to the spot you're supposed to light.

Why is there a gorgon in a windmill?

Why is there a massive lava landscape with a huge castle on top of a windmill?

The fat ladder guy or some other NPC tells you that the windmill actually pumps the poison on top for the queen to bathe in or something along those lines. But the game doesn't exactly tell you you're supposed to burn it down to stop it.

the problem with das2's difficulty was that you had 4 similarly hard paths to clear, and after clearing the first 1 or 2 paths the rest became just way too easy where you could oneshot every enemy.

Not that guy, but when i first played the game on PS3 i actually did think about burning the windmill, but when i got there i never managed to actually burn it, so i had to beat snake lady with the poison.

It was only after i finished the game that i found out that you can light the damn thing on fire, only to light it you have to set fire to the fucking steel beam holding the windmill, and not the, uh, "arms".

That was fucking retarded.

>you have to set fire to the fucking steel beam holding the windmill
It must have been well-oiled to be able to spin like that, so it should be able to catch on fire pretty well.

Im with you user. I spent ages trying to get to the actually flammable parts of the windmill before I noticed the prompt on the goddamn iron/steel part. This was the most retarded bit of the game for me.

yeah literally not reading any of that reddit garbage. type like a fucking human.

This zone was in no way difficult. The only reason mythra is hard on a blind playthrough is that the 'burn down the windmill to drain the poison' mechanic is easily miss able.

Mythra+posion was pretty difficult though, but not retarded difficult, just challenging.

>dat
>dem

Write like a normal person you fucking nigger.

>Das2
>difficult
>ever

Das2 and 3 don't have a single difficult moment

You didn't find the Iron Passage difficult?

>Sup Forums
>humans

nah

what?

> tfw you will never lock on miss multiple miracles then start casting a 4.5k damage Sunspear as they roll into your face,
> tfw you will never break the target and aim at your feet while they roll right into it and instantly die while thinking they're hot shit dodging all your bait spears.

RIP.

No but it is time consuming if you keep losing to blue smelter

Also the "shortcut" in SOTFS is one of the worst designed things I've seen in any game, and no being designed around summons doesn't make it ok

>Why is there a gorgon in a windmill?

Shes the queen and the windmill produces poison. It's her seat of power.

> Why is there a massive lava landscape with a huge castle on top of a windmill?

"The flow of time in Lordran is convoluted"

I would say DaS2 has the hardest areas but easiest bosses in the series.

its got the hardest challenge runs tho
