SKYRIMJOB

so i'm at this part; Stormcloaks or the Imperials?

Stormcloak = Trump
Imperial = Hillary

Choose wisely.

I forgot to mention, I want to be as canon as possible, but i'm open to the best solution aswell.

Neither. Don't play the main story. It's absolute crap. If you aren't modding the fuck outta the game then you're doing something wrong.

>Elder Scrolls
>Canon
Lmaoin @ ur lyf

>i'm open to the best solution aswell
uninstall the game and play a better one

The two factions aren't part of the main story as far as i know. And yes I do have some muh immersion mods and stuff added. I'm not playing the SE version.

huh
this is pretty accurate

By main story I mean basically any quests at all. Just fuckaround. That's all it's good for.

They're both good choices, no matter what people tell you.

The empire is dying and basically dead at this point. A sovereign skyrim and sovereign cyrodil is honestly the better choice.

The empire can't defend its own lands, and the concept of the empire is basically meaningless since the septim line is broken.

Yeah the game is crap, I know.

Imperial. Stormcloaks are fucking dumb if they think that they can get away by making Skyrim independent. Once the empire is weakened the Thalmor will unleash their full hidden army, and smash it. Then, after fucking up Cyrodiil, they'll go for the nords, which Ulfric will sell because he's a complete selfish fag.

I as in the first person you replied to didn't say it's crap (personally I think it's the definition of mediocrity), I merely stated that Elder Scrolls quite literally doesn't really have canon choices since the games are always hundreds of years apart and never speak about story of previous entries in detail.

A seceded Skyrim leaves Cyrodil more soldiers to protect itself with once they leave and helps divide the aldmeri forces if they enter open warfare again

>Stormcloaks
Brexit
>Imperials
EU

Imperials got crushed by the Thalmor and left most of their provinces to fend for themselves. Morrowind got fucked via volcanic eruption, Hammerfell got fucked by the thalmor (technically they managed to hold off till a stalemate), black marsh got fucked, too. Go imperial if you think you can make the empire great again, and re-unite several disparate colonies and factions.

Stormcloaks: think that they can hold skyrim on their own, think the empire is fucked, and has no chance of winning. Hammerfell managed to beat the thalmor to a stalemate because they knew the land, and they took advantage of the terrain they were familiar with.

Skyrim is extremely mountainous and inhospitable. Any viable beachheads are heavily defended, and any inroads into mainland skyrim funnel through mountains, meaning there are chokepoints everywhere. Not to mention, that since the empire left hammerfell fucked, and the orcs are right next door, you might be able to make a non-empire alliance with your immediate neighbors and kick those elven fucks out.

This.

The only issue with independent skyrim is Ulfric being a weak leader. With a return to the old ways, some random jarl would kill him off and claim the high throne.

>idiot bigoted demagogue who talks a big game but can't actually back it up
>corrupt establishment disdainful of half the citizenry, favoring immigrants over natives of the land

Except Ulfric is the strongest Jarl in the ruling class

Yeah, he has the best Shouts, they're terrific, great stuff.

Good enough to tear apart the High King, Good enough to tear apart old and dying Jarls and nothing needs to be said about the women Jarls

Alternative: Brotherhood and just kill every motherfucker in the room.

>tear apart the High King

You never actually visited Solitude to see what really happened, did you? The only shout Ulfric can do is FUS. Not FUS RO DAH, just FUS. The weakest and first shout you get in the game. He FUSed the High King and while he was standing there going "the fuck was that" Ulfric ran him through with his sword, then ran away like a little girl rather than stand and face the consequences of his actions.

Damn the Imperial propaganda stinks.

Why should I take Imperial influenced word over Gerdurs who says he bested him in fair combat

>but can't actually back it up
>literally won the white house
lol

Ignore the civil war its the worst part of the game.

>Convincing the town to give you their prized horse means you know how to ride it.

>says he's going to repeal Obamacare wholesale
>now says he's going to keep major parts of it at least
>says he's going to tear up Iran deal
>now says he's not going to do that
>says he's going to "drain the swamp"
>by putting long-term establishment republicans in key positions

Face it, he's all fucking talk and he'll be a puppet for the party he "took over"

If you care about lore and reasons then it has to be imperial.
Gameplay wise it's not that different desu.

...

If that's true, then it implies that within the time you take to finish the Civil War quest line, he somehow learned the other two Words? Or did he already know them, but only used the first one of three because he thought the High King was that weak?

Right? It is the right thing to do when you want to protect everyone from Elves isn't it? That's why I chose Imperial.

Ulfric is a big crybaby, the Jarls who support him consist of a has-been (Winterhold), a dottering old codger with delusions of glory (Dawnstar) and a puppet on strings who tells you straight up he's using this civil war for his own gain (Riften, a non-choice to either side).

Fantasy Sweden belongs to fantasy Swedes and anyone who thinks otherwise for even a second is to be put to the sword.
