Former Core Designs Employee here. 1993-2001
Hi fake Tobias
nah i'm good
Was it like hell, churning one game after the other for what, 5 years?
What was the moment you saw the industry change for the worst, or just in general assuming you see things that way?
What made you increase the polygon count of Lara's butt in The Last Revelation?
how did it feel to work for a one hit wonder company?
It was pretty tough. Before one game was even finished we'd start work on the next one.
Around the time of the PlayStation2. They were more focused on detailed graphics and less on whether the game was fun.
We increased the polygon count in the whole game.
Pretty good. In the beginning.
Programming language? was it hard? were you an eficient employee?
What do you think is the biggest failing of the game industry these days?
>Around the time of the PlayStation2. They were more focused on detailed graphics and less on whether the game was fun.
Sounds about right.
It depended on the game. Yes.
Focusing too much on sales and not taking more risks with new ideas.
Why did anyone sign off on the terrible controls in Tomb Raider games?
>20 years
>current Lara has nothing in common with her predecessor
Not acknowledged.
I doesn´t matter if you are real or not, the pans those people went through surely was

After reading this article i had a lump in my throat.
Can you tell anything about Fighting Force? Was the company approached by Sega to make a Streets of Rage 4? Why did they back away?
love this game, if you have stories please tell
Probably because SEGA knew that it was going to be mediocre, followed by that piece of shit sequel.
Thought it was the other way around. They showed Sega what they had produced for their idea of SoR4 and Sega didn't like it but Core did so they pursued the game as an original IP.
At the time we felt those Controls fit the game well. There weren't many 3D games to base our control scheme on.
Sega of America and Sega Technical Institute commissioned us to work on a new SOR. We were all ready to go and then they came back and was like. Guys. We kind of forgot to let Sega of Japan know. And they obviously said NO to it. So we made a few changes and voila. Fighting Force.
fuckin sega
That isn't as bad as Sega's own internal attempt at SoR4 getting crushed.
Apparently the only reason that went nowhere (if Guru Larry is right) was because Bernard Stolar shot it down due to never hearing of the series.
>Bernard Stolar shot it down due to never hearing of the series.
SoJ was retarded, but SoA had just as much idiocy on their side. SoE went down the same level with that YTMND fiasco.
How come Fighting Force 2 was so different from the previous game? Why such a drastic change and focus on only one character?
Because beat em up's we out. Shooters were in.
Do you miss the times when the company was focused on making games solely for the Amiga?
What's your opinion on custom TRLE levels? Many have gone way beyond the design of the original games.
what was your role in the creation of the first tomb raider?
Where did you go from 2001-2016?
>terrible controls
I will fight you.
Sadly. I missed out on their Amiga days.
I'm glad People are still interested enough in it these years later to do things like that.
I was not involved that much with Tomb Raider until 3 came along.
>He always claims he slipped on the mouse and made the breasts bigger than he meant to, but how true that is, I don't know.
This absolute mad man.
I hate beat 'em ups, by and large. Fuckin' quarter-munching bullshit cheapness.
WHY?
how many co-workers didnt shower regularly
Was one guy really so butthurt that Lara was being used as a pin-up girl to promote the game to the point that he left the company?
did u ever scan any girls butts
Why not?
As far as am aware. Everyone showed daily.
No one ever left over something like that.
Not when I was there
Video is wrong. He left because he didn't like the direction the series was headed in. Less on exploration. More on action.
It's all explained in which I just finished reading, I wish OP had a tripcode or photo at least, because there are conflicting facts.
