Are american gamers really skilled?
Are american gamers really skilled?
Nah americans are the biggest casuals followed by japs.
Your skill can't be directly attributed to your nationality.
Unless you live somewhere games are banned or some shit like that.
i don't know about you but last time i tried to ask my wife's somalian son if he wanted to play sfV with me he was pretty bad
no
Europeans>Japs>Americans
>Japs>Americans
fuck off weeb, go get mad at conan somewhere else
who?
I hope you guys realize that there are only like 7 or 8 tetris grandmasters in the world and that they're numbers consist of all asians and one american
I don't think it has to do with ethnicity or nationality
Just whether or not you're good at games
Like every other thing
I'd say our casuals are better than Japan's casuals. But their pros definitely beat ours. Infiltration gets a special mention, because he's just a machine Korea made to get revenge on the japs.
No, they always rank as the least skilled gamers in every game that they play competitive. The only game they rank as nr1 is Halo and that is because they are the only ones playing it.
They simply don't have the dedication like other nations.
Now why are we being logical and using reasons in our discussion?
I've been watching Arino like crazy on this week. Thank you user whoever gave me this thing.
Don't casuals everywhere play phone games?
He's talking about the board spamming Conan Clueless Gamer since he made fun of FFXV.
They do, but everyone else can also play on console without getting motion sickness unlike Japan
The drought of new subbed episodes though.
>my wife's somalian son
That's because they pirate everything. He thinks he's the captain now.
Hey, I'm the guy that makes things less fun by pointing out the truth about shitposts.
Anyone who puts enough time into anything can be skilled. It doesn't matter what nationality they are! Neat, huh?
I was far behind on subs so I am trying to get catching up.
Yeah totally, the current state of gaming really reflects that.
Compared to Japanese gamers, yes.
Especially compared to Arino in particular. Though the way he sucks at video games is a lot more endearing than just "playing nothing but mobage shit all day" so you can't really hold it against him.
maybe overall yes but Jap FG pros absolutely rape americans
Koreans though...
Best shmup players, rhythm players and fighting game players are japanese too
Holy shit this guess was right.
Compared to nips? Yes. But that's only because nips are the most casual scum there is. They literally cry about each new release being too hard, they are fucking quitters, can't handle too hard games.
Now, compared to other western nations, burgers come out average.
Are they best at RTS and MMO?
>Are american gamers really skilled?
I don't really know much about competitive gaming, but are Americans tops in anything?
Japs have fighting games at least, even though afaik they suck at everything else.
It has to do with which society generally oppresses their people and has more unemployment and is overall a shittier environment. A country good at games? Well, that means they have a lot of people desperate to remain locked into a virtual world, somewhere where their efforts will actually have meaning, someplace they can actually be free from tyranny.
So basically good at games = bad at everything else, as a society.
so basically this guy is HURR AMERICANS ARE STUPID AND DON'T HAVE TIME TO THINK ABOUT GAMES
Erm let's not address how idiotic it is to point at a demographic as large as the entirety of North America and say people like the same games in Seattle as they do in Miami but you know, this fucker, this fucker right here...
Sounds like he works for EA? am I right? He's gotta be EA. Fucking only EA would be this retarded.
What country is best at each genre? Is there a list?
Japs are great at fighting games. Not sure about other genres.
that's not really true entirely because your discounting the fact that when you do that you actually get worse at everything including video games.
they'll just be good at a specific SET of video games but there will always be a limit to how good they can be due to their degradation.
Look at WoW, for example, people can play that games for years and still be absolute shit at it because of their state of being.
north america has been bottom of the barrel in any competitive video game scene that has had a sizeable community outside of the united states. literally the onle games where they are at the top are games that are virtually only played in the US. stuff like halo and cod.
Literally any genre that was popular in the arcades
>HURR
>Erm
nobody cares, burger
>games are only available in Japanese arcades
>most top players are Japanese
Really activates my noggin'.
Fighters: Japan
RTS: Korea
Shooters: EU
It depends on the game. The stats for who liked/disliked Nioh's difficulty were interesting, in that the US/EU players all thought the difficulty was fine, where as the Jap's mostly wanted the difficulty toned down, though it's worth noting that the EU/US players would be more skilled 'core' players, since Nioh is a niche game in the west, and the Japs would be any Toshi shitshoe who has a PS4
en.wikipedia.org
He worked for EA for a while before they were pure evil. He's been around a long time.
hehe nice argument but you used your instead of "you're"... loser....
No.
They are best at some things, Brits are best at other things, Germans best at others.
Those three are the best though.
Yes, countries are good at the genres which are the most popular there. Applies to any genre
Has Arino gotten any better at platformers and shooters, or is he still just a puzzle pro?
Not for every fighting game
The best skullgirls and mortal kombat player is a black furry who happens to live in america
Are there any countries where they suck even though a genre is popular?
>ywn trade pokemon with the kacho
Russia
no discuss
black people are pretty good at fighting games
They're only good at .hack
Almost all top Melee players are from USA. But in any game, it depends on the size of the scene
> .hack
Thanks for the link user
It was shared to me so I'm happy to share.
This
>Mortal Kombat
>Actual game
Asians > Europeans > Americans
I can't name a genre that Americans are best at
Wouldn't this be because the ratio of dedicated vidya players to soccer moms and shit playing games much more even in Japan compared to the West?
>Has Arino gotten any better
japs are actually the biggest casuals these days
they used to be the most hardcore, but now all they play are mobile games and they hate any difficult games
Not really difficult to be better than Arino.
>soccer moms would care enough about Nioh to play the demo
yeah nah, that poll was about Nioh, and clearly most jap players think that the difficulty and balance is bad (most likely because it was too hard)
also mynintendonews.com
>inb4 nintendo
Had this saved
Don't know if there is a more current version
>Korean here
>a leaf
>god tier
Son, this is a troll chart
pretty shit to be honest, I'd like to know the nationality of whoever came up with it
Who?
>Irish:
>perfect English
>English:
>annoying accents
>Scottish:
>incomprehensible
really activates my almonds
Melee is a kid's game gee no wonder
>americans
>high tier
troll chart faggot
no one outside of the us plays those games really.
0/10
all the canadians I play dota with are fun teammates. can't speak for skill because we're all shitters but I am always down to feed with my leafbros.
It's hard as fuck when played competitively. With lots of fast inputs, i wonder why asians aren't playing it that much
>Ukraine a tier higher than Russia
Good.
>Lithuania
>Good English
Every time.
melee is a kids game but that goes out the window the SECOND anyone starts getting actually good, because kids quit or only play with items on when they get fucked up instead of practicing to get better.
I honestly believe that people who shit on melee are the same as people who shit on fighting games, arena shooters, and RTS:
they are STILL salty from that time they got utterly destroyed SO HARD 13 years ago that they became a casual at that moment and only played team based fps and single player RPG games after that.
losing a lot at a game that requires actual effort, practice, study, and reading other human beings' minds is fucking HARD. It can be demoralizing getting thoroughly outplayed, and it takes a long time to get good enough to start fucking bitches up yourself.
Many people can't look at losing/failing as a fun experience, a neatly wrapped package of lessons and knowlege. Being a scrub shitter is not a statement about one's skill but about the mindset. that's why they play video games in the first place, for a "challenge" that is intended to be beaten from the start and wants to let you win
MOBAs, League in particular which Americans are a joke at.
And he is right.
