Either the first game or TR4. TR2 and TR3 are OK but not as good as those two. Chronicles is a cashgrab not even the devs liked. Angel of Darkness is a mess. Crystal Trilogy is OK but generally too short and easy. Reboot feels like a game made entirely by marketers. Haven't bothered to play Rise but it looks the same as the reboot but with a few more puzzle rooms.

I'm playing through the first one for the first time right now on PC and I have one question.
Do the controls improve between 1-4, or is the movement exactly the same between the entries, since they were released year after year.
