Cave Story + is an awful port. The game is sped up which makes the entire game's design significantly worse. I have no idea what the fuck they were thinking, but the "plus exclusive content" is shitty and not remotely worth playing the janky sped up verison of the game for.

It also controls better. It is the definitive version of the game.

Notice how differently timed the jump archs are. And how the ground speed of the player character. They sped the game up to reach 60fps. If you gave a crap about the game you'd know this!
