Currently watching longplays of all great adventure games, this is straight after I Have No Mouth.

>watching someone else play videogames
What is wrong with people these days?

There's always an even worse fate OP.

I hear good thins about it though I don't play a lot of Adventure games.

The puzzles in the majority of old adventure games were intentionally obtuse and vague so as to pad out game time or force you to buy a walkthrough. The 'gameplay' in these games consist of either looking or touching something.

>le watching other people play videogames may may

so funni

like a lot of games of it's genre, Blade Runner falls apart at the end. It was a really solid game though. I liked shooting the hobo in the alley then hiding the body when I realized he wasn't a rep.

Blade Runner is great. The story takes place alongside the one in the movie. Each playthrough is different as it randomly chooses which of the characters is a replicant, including yourself. This has never been repeated before since this game. Westwood was an amazing studio.

you know every play through is slightly randomised so some characters may or not be replicants

I had forgotten to be honest, I just remember some of the bad cop stupid shit I did in my first play through.

Is it handled better than Ripper?
That game had the same sort of idea but it only really had impact on anything at the last minute

Is the blade runner game better than the shitty good for nothing but scenery porn movie

RIP Westwood

You forgot the soundtrack being really good

I was always sure that replicants were based on your decisions leading up to it, like if you knew all the choices it was upto you who was a replicant.

Either way, it's the only point and click adventure game I replay every few years, I've got it currently installed. I played it when it was brand spanking new and I still love it. Very immersive.

I loved being able to conceal evidence and going renegade or being a total narc and shooting every rep cunt you find.

go back to somethingawful and fucking stay there.

This is a cyberpunk thread now

I finished the game.
There was too much fanservice and incoherence.

I wish more (Good) Cyberpunk games existed.

Still have the game with the box and all.

Good memories

What do you guys think about Gemini Rue?

I always thought it lookes pretty cool but I've spoilered the ending for me in a stream, so I never had the motivation to play through it myself.

>pirated the game
>crucial moment of the game where the main character is tied up to a chair and a drill is slowly advancing towards his face
>watch the cutscene, on the edge of my seat and wondering what's going to happen next
>drill meets with his face
>screen goes black
>error popup, game crashes

This happened every time I loaded up the save from that part. Must have been an anti-piracy protection, but I never learned what happened next.

Get a fucking argument you underaged shitter.

Also they lost the source assets so no HD remaster for u.

Other than not being a licensed game, Snatcher wins for the first two points.

Hello.

>Snatcher
>game
It's style over substance with zero gameplay and shitty characters.

>Best adventure game
The Last Express and Hotel Dusk are better.

>I was always sure that replicants were based on your decisions leading up to it

Nope, which characters are and aren't replicants are randomized when you start a new game. Including you.

There's only two guaranteed replicants in the entire game.

>not even the best girl

Really missing the days of that style of art in both anime and video games.

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis is the best adventure game, this is not disputable.

Is there a non-sketchy download floating around out there for it?

I've been meaning to play if for quite awhile now.

It's all I had. Plus I like her the most anyway.

I can understand.

Some puzzles aren't great. Also, winning stupid fights with INS.

>person with two heads
>you fight a giant rat

Sure is Blade Runner in here.

All their solutions can be deducted by thinking logically, you're never reduced to trying everything on everything to see what convoluted retardation the devs came up with.
Also feel free to name a game where all the puzzles are great.

>Also feel free to name a game where all the puzzles are great.
Call of Duty.

Fuck you.

Pixel hunting.

>I'm a gigantic cocksucking plebian: the post

I tried to play it a couple of years ago but could not get it to work on W7. It needs some sort of rerelease (GOG pls)

Just pay your $10 and go lick Shmorky's butthole. I'm sure you'd both enjoy it.

I'd say don't play it if you spoiled the ending. I enjoyed it, but there wasn't a whole ton of Cyberpunk in it. You walk around the first city some which you never leave, not many NPC's or even cyberpunk-ness. Some of the lore and background stuff is cool but overall it could have very well been set on Earth and not changed.

The gameplay and lore aren't good enough to make it worth playing if you already know the ending of the story imo.

I did enjoy being able to find various Cowboy Bebop characters in random parts of the level.

>Best licensed game
Looks like you didn't play a LotR one back in EA golden days

disturbingly retarded.

stay outta the 'Ton, bro

seconding this

i've been meaning to play this for years

yeah lol, because blade runner is not a baby's first movie.

You escape and learn that there was no brother and you ARE his "brother" the entire time and that was all just a memory of having a brother was triggered by the people who wiped your memory to be an assassin in the first place to get you to return so they could finish.

You and your Asian friend break in, kill others and make to the "the director" who has all the memories. All doing this quickly because the place is about to blow, you escape but your Asian friend dies.

I played the shit out of this way back. Computer kept crashing anytime there was a CG movie so I only ever got to see one ending. I have the guidebook for this lying around somewhere.

>baby's first movie
There's a time and a place when these memes need to end, now is that time.

that's not cyberpunk, it was just a modern-setting game ahead of its time by a few decades

>another retard with no argument

Seems to be a theme in this thread.

>future weapons done right

So many fucking future guns look like such uninspired dog shit these days.

this needs to be said more often. i'm sure a lot of people feel this way but don't want to say because every Sup Forums baby which saw io9 best 80s sci-fi movies for nerds list "knows" blade runner is a gr8 film and will bully them.

it's one of those movies which must be good to everyone.

fuck off retards

but it is. every lame list and book of 420 FLICKS YOU MUST STREAM ON NETFLIX has it.

Thepiratebay

With like 2 exceptions, maybe 4, I have never played a puzzle game that trully made no sense. Obtuse or not, they're still very doable.

And also, and this is the main reason I'm against longplays. Longplayers are fucking stupid.

Tried playing this earlier in the year but it really didn't want to play ball, ended up dropping it when it kept freezing up during some shooting range sequence

The whole evidence/suspect list thing was cool and using the photo enhancer thing gave me a nostalgia boner

Some plebs putting it on their list and probably not even understanding why they put it there doesn't make it babbys first movie.

retrowith.in

>not understanding
lol, what's so hard to understand about that movie?

So what you're saying is that since it's not a niche movie with a small following and because it's easily accessible that it's 'baby's first movie'?

Get your head out of your ass.

So essentially the reason you don't like Bladerunner is because it's popular. That's hilariously hipster.

yeah, that would be the definition of a baby's first movie. it's not a derogatory term, it's just a fact.

no, that's why i say it's baby's first movie. the reason i don't really like it is because it's boring and every actor did a shit job except for rutger haurer.

i bought the special edition, watched all almost all significantly different versions of the movie, with and without commentary, and LOVED the 5h documentary about making it. so it's not like i hate it lol, i just don't think it deserves the praise it gets.

Played it but didn't really like it since it's literally the plot of the movie but with names changed (which is really weird since the actual movie plot is happening at the same time during the game) but the ending I got had me running away with a loli replicant sex slave so 10/10.

Blade Runner is probably the best game I've ever played, hands down.
Nothing really compares, and I wish more games took notes from it. Hell, I wish more people knew about it in general, it's almost the perfect game, or at least it's the most atmospheric game of all time.
>That can't be me?
>Gimme a hard copy of that

I've been playing System Shock 1 lately and it's pretty great. It's not cyberpunk in sense of "rainy night over neon lit megacity", but more like in "fusion of flesh and computer, hacking doors while listening to Ministry" type of way.
So far I think this is a better game than System Shock 2, I like the 80s looking robots and bright colors. It's like the game is set in the universe of MST3K.

That's your opinion, dude. So stop talking like it's fucking fact. And stop dropping stale as fuck old jokes like "babys first x"

>stop talking like it's fact

oh my sweet summer child

>Run around a corner chasing someone
>Fire instantly at whatever the first person I saw was
>Kill some random guy

I somehow did this to the same guy in two seperate games.

of course it's my opinion. there's no facts about a movies being good or not. it's always someone's opinion.

>go to the shooting course
>nothing fucking happens for 3 full minutes
>think the game froze or I'm supposed to do something to push it forward
>nope, a target appears and I miss it
>redo the whole section

really good
