Universal's Nintendoland

Nintendoland's been confirmed for all three Universal parks. It also looks like some kind of Mario ride is being developed, which should surprise no one. What other rides and attractions do you want to see?

If there isn't a zelda themed part of the park I will scream.

I will too

On the superior F-Zero coaster

Pilot Wings ride.

Complete with porn music.

Sub HD rides with gimmicks

If they could re-theme the Hulk ride to be either F-Zero or Star Fox I'd be so happy.

I'd be even happier if they built completely new rides for those games but I'm willing to compromise. It is Nintendo, after all.

F-Zero ride when

Nintendo's not going to be the ones making those decisions.

Chances are slim but I at least want a Kirby themed restaraunt, or kirby in some form.

Nintendo's really doubling down on the "Nintendo is for kids" thing aren't they?

What you didnt get the memo 30 years ago?
>not enjoying things for kids as an adult
Must really suck

Isn't Hal Laboratories technically a third party?

This needs to happen now.

Kirby cake pops at the gift shop

A Luigi's Mansion ride would be fantastic.

Better also have a multi-track roller coaster that has a punch of star fox ships flying and flipping around eachother

>tfw you're a third worlder and will never visit this thematic parks

Augmented Reality Mario Kart when?

yeah but they also have 0 competition in that market how many AAA games for kids are on the competitor systems?

The Kirby series is developed by HAL and Nintendo and produced by Nintendo.

Considering that the fucking Mummy of all films has an incredible ride at Universal, Star Fox should be given the same treatment.

>12-seater arwing roller coaster car
>Ride opens with countdown in a Space Mountain like tunnel
>youtube.com/watch?v=DT9AGzfzp_g
>Monitor flashes "Good luck!"
>This begins to play youtube.com/watch?v=oBD3FO6ozXc

Why can't this be real

I'm tip top first fucking world and I've always been jelly over Universal studios. Used to dream about going on their Terminator and Jurassic Park rides.

theme parks are for everyone you no-fun-allowed fuck

Well it doesn't work well for Autistic people anyway.

>one single area filled with as much nintendo autism as it can hold

>balding man children screaming to customer service that the color of the goomba shell is just a shade off

>zelda tunics as far as the eye can see

>bing bing*

>YAHOOO

>HERE WE GOOOOOO

back to the future didn't die for this

Man that's gonna be cool. All their big name series getting an attraction.

Nintendoland in real life. Oh my god,.

>Universal park

So it's nothing?

How would a Zelda themed ride be?

That's reassuring.

F Zero ride where riders slam into a wall at 500mph

You haven't been to universal studios lately. It blows disney out of the water

>color of the goomba shell
>goomba shell
user, I think you might have autism yourself

Back to the Future died for the Simpsons.
Jaws died for Harry Potter.

What will die for Nintendo?

It's less "no fun allowed" and more "this is the dragon kid section of busch gardens"
only kids go to the dragon kid section. everybody else has stanleyville and morocco and the rest of the park

The fucking middle east land or whatever it is. It's terrible

Not like its easy for anyone here either
That shit is expensive, cant just pick up and go there whenever I want

I disagree but I really enjoy both Universal and Disney.

If anything it'll be like those star wars rides at disney.
A little virtual reality ship that shakes and turns but never moves, only with screen inside with maybe a joystick to shoot down enemies.

Don't get me wrong. I love disney, but I like that US is more geared towards older people. Plus that Harry Potter world is DANK bruh

Where the hell are they going to put this in the Hollywood one? I guess they could get rid of Waterworld and stick it there, no one cares about Waterworld anymore.

So let's see here, we can get a Mario Galaxy coaster, a Metroid ride where you have to shoot stuff, Luigi's Mansion can be a ride or attraction, Game and Watch Cafe, Duck Hunt game.

OoT Castle Town with shops and the arrow shooting mini game and the fishing mini game, once a day someone can win a prize by pulling the Master Sword and being proclaimed the new hero, they get special treatment at the park and a costume.

Kid Icarus Coaster, Star Fox Simulator, F-Zero racing in real carts or maybe just Mario Kart with F-Zero stuff in it, Animal Crossing scavenger hunt, Pikmin toss.

Sonic Chili Dog hut

The only people who like Nintendo are 30+, kids today play GTA and cawwadoody

Diagon Alley is pretty fucking incredible. I really hope the theming for Star Wars is on the same level - Avatar might be great as well from a theming perspective but I couldn't care less about the source material.

It will be 90% Mario.

I've seen some of the mockups of the avatar land and it looks really cool. I just think it's a little too late. Cameron needs to push those movies out quick.

Get the fuck out of here, Miyamoto.

oh look nintendo is making more marketing deals rather than making games. what a surprise.

more like Paper Mario, only toads no interesting characters, just the main 5.

nintendo is slowly transitioning from making console games to mobile games and theme park shit

I think they have to get rid of the marvel shit soon so I'm betting it'll take that area

Mario is the BIG draw, but that doesn't mean it can't be good
>Peach's Castle main area + restaurant + shop
>Luigi's Spooky Mansion
>Super Mario Sunshine water ride
>Donkey Kong jungle barrel water ride
>Bowser Ride
>Mario Kart

It can still be good

nice meme

Toon Lagoon is representing cartoons from the youth of 30+ year olds at this point, and is nothing but kid rides and the one Dudley log ride which is pretty good. Think that through.

True. I forget about toon lagoon. That shit needs to go bad

>kids attractions + one ride
Yes.

They are spending over 355,000,000 USD per location for a single ride.

Damn universal is making fucking moves recently. They just bought DreamWorks outright for like 2 billion and bought 400 acres of prime orlando real estate

>bought 400 acres of prime orlando real estate
>Nintendo partnership
Makes you wonder...

For a $2 billion/year set of parks, yeah that sounds pretty accurate to retheme the kids zone without any actual expansion. I was joking because Nintoddlers, but they're certainly not going to dump the Marvel section or their own flagships, and they JUST pushed the park borders out for Kong for the Fast and the Furious ride they're opening in 2018, which takes up 1/4 a side of the fucking park from the way it looked when I was on vacation there a couple weeks ago.

>Nintendo has a wide range of IP that would be great for rides/immersive experiences.
>It's all going to end up being the most generic Mario shit.

Why?

You will understand.

>goomba shell
You did this on purpose i know you fag

No they already said they plan on putting like 3 more resorts and perhaps a new park section. It won't all be nintendo

>It won't all be nintendo
>all
Makes you wonder...

Universal buying Nintendo?

>sounds pretty accurate to retheme the kids zone

Tower of Terror, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Florida - $140 million
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, Islands of Adventure, Florida - $150 million
Tower of Terror, Walt Disney Studios, Paris - $240 million
Radiator Springs Racers, Disney’s California Adventure, Caliornia - $200 million

Please do not speak on subjects you have no idea about

I don't think that is possible at the moment.

NBC owns universal now. They aren't buying any video games

>Nintendo
>Getting bought
The yakuza won't have that.

I took this at universal last spring. The autism is already starting

So, Nintendo is paying the cost of installing roughly 2 new rides per location, based on this information and the previous post about them dropping $355 million per location. That would back up them simply doing an area retheme all the more. You're also arguing at what I already stated was a joke, you should discipline your Googlefu.

Australia?

Nintendo buying Universal????

I only play grown up games for big boys like me and only go on mature theme park rides.

They have a park over there in Australia?

>What other rides and attractions do you want to see?

Star Fox Space Mountain.
Actual Mario Kart.
Pirates of the Carribean-like Zelda ride with all the characters.
Obviously hype as fuck stage presentations.
Metroid Lazer Tag

>So, Nintendo is paying the cost of installing roughly 2 new rides per location
Those listings where from the top 5 most expensive rides.

And $355 million per location is what US is spending this year alone in Japan (they said it would be in line with American so probably more as labor is more expensive in the US)

All those games you've been begging for over the years that they won't make? Yeah, they won't be represented in the park. Keep dreaming. Hope you like those pesky plumbers though.

>not Fzero bumping cars

>not a DONKEY KONG coaster

>YFW NINTENDO GOT LIFELIKE REALISTIC GRAPHICS BEFORE SONY AND MICROSOFT

Theme park insiders around Florida (Who are way more accurate than Video game "Insiders) say that the land Universal bought up behind Islands Of Adventure will be in a new park themed around video games that's in planning and Universal's already got deals with Blizzard and Microsoft on the table as well for sections and rides while Nintendo is getting a section to itself.

Hollywood and Japan are getting part of the Nintendo area as well, but not the whole Vidya park.

So when is it open?

Honesty, like 7 years

5 HOURS

I think fear factor is the next to go.

How so?

is Fear Factor still a thing? That just screams early 2000's to me.

It's a live show and it's really dated, yes

I'd love some sort of Mario kart track but how would it work?

I don't think so. I did the live stunt challenge with 2 friends and while we were talking to the guys who were working there waiting they essentially said the thing just got a full reboot this year and they'll be doing some additions to the challenge stuff over the next year.

Did you eat bugs?

I thought it was going to be rebooted into a Fast And The Furious branded stuntshow?

Are they selling that shit? I doubt an indie guy like the undermeme dev would have a commercial deal for this.

>Cameron needs to push those movies out quick.
Ain't that the truth. Kids born in 09 when the movie came out are now 7, prime Disney going age

Some F-zero or Starfox 4D ride could be nice.

GOOMBA SHELL?????????

HAHAHAHAHA
EVERYONE LOOK AT THIS IDIOT!

Mom said its time to take the meds

The Fast and the Furious attraction is toward the Harry Potter side of that park, they've got a shitton of construction up already that looks fuckhuge. All the signs said 2018 though, so maybe they're doing a final burst for 2017 of the Fear Factor stuff and then switching over, but no one there mentioned anything like that and they said they just brought some new people on crew outside of their old regular crew.

No, the TV show and its stuff are long over. They do a main attraction stunt show, which is mostly heights based fear stuff and then running around like a retard. You start by holding a V bar until you fall at 45 feet, then you have one guy on a pendulum line in the air catching balls that his partner has to pull out of a tank with eels in in, then the guy in the air has to throw dead squid at his teammate on the ground, then the winning team goes 1v1 on a stunt tower that you climb, grab flags off of, jump in a prop car that gets lifted up 40 feet, climb on the hood and rip off more flags, and then get a fake bazooka to laser at a target and set off a pyro show. It was actually pretty badass, I won it with my friend in 2nd place when we went earlier this month.

>mfw I live in Florida
It sucks living here sometimes but it sure does have its perks.

No they're building an actual ride for that

They do also have small side stuff where they do a critter touch/run thing and an "eat weird shit" thing, but we didn't catch those shows and they're more of a 10-15 minute sideshow thing while they reprep the main stage from what they explained to us.
