No, see, I should have explained better. Story of 7 is amazing, characters are well designed, and I love Cloud. But 7 introduced the fucking charge bar ''Turn-based-but-not-really'' feature that effected every other fucking RPG in the god damned world and it's shit. An RPG has to be fucking spectacular for me to put up with that god damned Charge bar. It's shit. Like I honestly have no idea what the fuckers where thinking when they implemented it ''Hironobu, sir, would you like to make any changes to Final Fantasy 7?''

Does the game ever go back to being as interesting as the first part of the game or will it only go downhill?

No it started in V if I'm not mistaken, but it was way more bearable up until 7.

Only ever played tactics advanced and I loved it. 10/10 taste

My least favorite is 8, not counting the spinoffs. Every time I try giving that game a chance I only end up hating even more.

No actually that was 4 that started ATB. You can blame 7 for lowering the bar to "spam Attack to win" though.

oh please, i haven't played all of them but 13 is objectively the worst from what i can tell. if youre here unironically saying 7 is the worst i find it incredibly hard to believe you arent just a neck bearded hipster angry that the one that has a special place in your heart isnt being jerked off while 7 is universally recognized as a great game

Saying you don't like a popular game isn't necessarily hipster, disliking it BECAUSE it's popular is.

I think he means there's so many bad FF games that you can't consider VII the worst unless you are just being contrarian or haven't really played many FF games.

Saying 7 is the worst is to imply that Final Fantasy 2 (The shitty one, not the American release of IV) and Final Fantasy Mystic quest are better games. I don't think it's possible for anyone to think this.

FF2 is the only one I hold any contempt for because that game blows some serious ass. Any of the other ones I totally enjoyed, so they're all pretty great if you as me.

XIII-2, or dirge of cerberus if you count spinoffs. Haven't played the first 4 though.
