Also Pokemon Amie/whatever Gen 7 calls it, although that's probably a very stripped-down version.

Those are good for what they are and what they do. It's the shit like Pokemon Go and that epic MMO with all the regions and Gen I-II Pokemon that gets canned for good reason (Save for Go, and that's losing steam quick).

Nintendo don't fully own Pokemon; they don't get to choose what to do with it.

There's an entire island minigame in your Rotom where you shake a giant beanstalk and you get a fuck ton

The answer is because they can't reasonably animate 800 wildly different models to do all the actions that the complex mechanics of Nintendogs involved, even cutting it down to the original 150 would probably be too demanding, and also just really weird for certain more humanoid Pokemon, though Amie and Refresh have that too.

You leave Conquest alone. It was a great idea, and a fun game, but you could tell it was rushed or poorly executed. If it got the time it deserved it would have been a 9.5/10. But of course we all know how much Nintendo supports spinoff pokemon games.
