>Asus

Wait what's wrong with them?

Why do gaming laptops have to look so fucking autistic?

Nothing, she's shitposting.

Overpriced with poor construction and numerous network and heat issues. They're good for mobos, not laptops.

How dare you assume my gender

I love my ZenFone 2 tho.
idk about their computer hardware.

>cheap alienware knockoff

lmao

>cheap

Already better

oh wow I love the candlejack me-

They don't

I wish they'd make a boring ass regular looking laptop with a nice GPU inside instead of giant edgy jagged gaming bullshit

>asus
ROG laptops are fucking garbage
If I press on the bottom right corner or lightly tap it, the display shits itself and I have to reboot (probably it's temporarily disconnecting the GPU somehow)

Well then don't fucking do that then idiot.

>gaming laptops

when will this meme end

they're good if you get them at a reasonable price. in bed posting from this

>tfw no Thinkpad T60 but with a modern CPU and a Pascal GPU

That would just be the greatest laptop

>a laptop from fucking 2006 has a better display (1600x1200 IPS) and bezels than most laptops that come out today (768p TN)

WIDESCREEN WAS A MISTAKE

Go to bed grandpa
IBM left the laptop business for good reason

The p50 is a work of fucking art.

I hope the 2017 thinkpads have 1000 series gpu options

A p40 with a 1060 would break my dick

Gaming Laptop jokes aside, I just got an Asus Laptop with an i7 6700HQ and a GTX 950m and I'm liking them so far. Very little extra software installed from the get go, and it was a good price for what I got all things considered.

I hope the T470 follows the P50 design (top mounted hinges, dedicated touchpad buttons, nice cooling) I might finally upgrade from this T420 if it did

>They're good for mobos, not laptops.
I was going to say I've had an Asus Z170 S and an Asus 1070 for a few months now and have nothing but good things to say about them.

what can you even play with a 950m. just indie shit?

st

The P50's Quadro M2000M is just about between a 960M and a 970M in performance

So it's already not bad as a gaymen laptop if you're fine with low settings

Haven't tested to much yet, but looking at benchmarks - quite a bit, if you're fine with low settings and potentially 30FPS. Lots of stuff looks like they'll play at 60FPS on lower settings too, and that's just newer stuff. Tomb Raider 2013 runs at 40ish FPS on Ultra settings.

Because gamers are autistic. That includes (You).

Why bother when you could just slap a PCI-E convertor to your laptop and have a plug and play GPU?

Well shit senpai I know what laptop I'm getting next

This is exactly the kind of laptop I wanted

Not edgy looking, but can play games at low settings (not like games these days even hardly look any different on low settings)

Is this a good price? 1 grand seems kinda steep but it looks like I get a damn fine laptop for it

>1k dollaritoes for a 8MB cache shithouse

Shit what the fuck? This thing can have a Xeon inside it?

What the fuck IS this laptop

Call me when you slapped it on there and you arent having compatibility issues out the fucking ass.

this one might be a better deal m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=N82E16834234412

1TB HDD and a 128GB SSD. The card is a 950M but you could easily clock it up to the GTX 960m speeds and it'll run the same, more or less, since they have the same amount of cores. Helps it's 300 burgers less.

how did you get that so cheap?

They do.
I've recently bought asus gl502 with gtx1070.
It is only 2.3 kilos and runs everyhing there is out there on ultra with pretty decent 40+ fps.
Sure, it doesn't work without a power socket for long but who cares. Everywhere has a power socket, even trains and planes.

8MB is as high as it gets

>slapped it on there
I have integrated it with a dock

>you arent having compatibility issues out the fucking ass.
why on earth would I be having compatibility issues?

It looks nice (not edgy fucky BigMcLargeHuge design) but I have really bad experience with asus laptops breaking over nothing

Also I don't care what drives or ram come with it because it's always cheaper to upgrade/reuse that shit yourself, that's the #1 Rule of Buying Laptops New (except these days where RAM is becoming increasingly soldered on)

>Look up the P50
>2k-4k eurobucks

Where the fuck do these 1k dollarydoo prices come from?

I have the version of that with a 970M It's really quite good. That said, most of the time I have it docked into my battle-station but It's nice to be able to move it around with a degree of ease. plus I have a roommate who smokes so the dust-channeling fans are a lifesaver. Ya the back end is autistic as fuck but It shits the heat out away from the internals so fast that I don't even mind.

Sup Forums regularly has the business login for Lenovo where you get fat discounts.

I have an Asus.

I agree with poor construction. Worse than Chinese plastic and cracks everywhere.

Overheating was never much of a problem. And network issues was never really much of an issue either.

>brand name
am I doing it right?

Are sager/eurocom laptops any good senpai?
