Henry seemed to have readjusted exceedingly well despite his experience with Silent Hill, and despite some lingering trauma which even that seemed to fade away in the final years of his life likely would've had a fairly uneventful life with Heather if the Cult didn't continue interfering, So its quite possible for someone who went through it to remain relatively normal or at least functional in society. The Trucker also went through his game, and is functional enough to continue his job without any overt issues from what we could gleam from his brief cameo. Heather will likely have a relatively normal life too especially seeing how the cult that caused the entire game to happen was effectively crippled, barring Homecoming's sect, which let's face it, most fans only acknowledge begrudgingly.

If someone's once again new to this PC gaming stuff: Use a program like DaemonTools Lite to mount the ISOs of 2 & 3, and then run their installers like always.
The SH1 is a PS1 rip that you gotta emulate.
The "sh2proxy" fix works as a no-cd crack as well, and is included in the pack. Use only its .exe if you use the newer Widescreen Fix.

in case you experience issues saving the game / not being able to edit the disp.ini, make sure the files aren't set to "Read Only", and run the game as Administrator.
If SH2 happens to fail to launch (black screen), close it and restart it. It should get fixed and run fine eventually.

The Xinput gamepads do not work out of the box on SH2-4. You need to use the Xpadder, or get a DirectInput controller. Or just stick to KB+M.

You can also give the new PGXP emulator a shot, since it adds Perspective Correction to PS1 textures.

Why do people get so butthurt when someone says Pyramid Head was raping those monsters? Thematically, it makes ensue. Pyramid Head is supposed to be a mental representation of James himself. Pyramid head is an executioner because james sees himself as an executioner for killing his wife. It's never implied that he remarried or pursued a relationship with another woman so he must have been sexually frustrated and Pyramid head raping those monsters is a manifestation of that.

You can find a car exactly the same as James's outside Jack's Inn in Silent Hill 2 (an inn known for "seedy things" like prostitution, etc. in the expanded universe). Some people have read into this as evidence that James may have visited a prostitute at Jack's Inn or thought about seeing one during Mary's illness. Personally, I think it's just Team Silent reusing assets, but they do everything on purpose in these games, so who knows?

I agree, I read a very good analysis on some Silent Hill forum years ago whereby they came to the conclusion that Maria is what James wished Mary would have been all the way though their relationship, not just a result of sexual frustration towards the end of the relationship due to illness.

Avoid fighting things as often as possible. When you do, exploit the short invincibility frames provided by the charged melee attacks. Things get notably easier later on, with a certain chopping tool.
