It's 98% better. There are some minor flaws that they fucked up from the original series but unless you know these games inside out you wont notice.

Yes, it's worth it. Only thing is that the pressure sensitivity is a little strange sometimes, but if you haven't played the PS2 games in years you likely won't notice.

MGS3 Subsistence (PS2) is better than the HD version. You get more modes on the PS2 one, such as replaying boss fights.

I don't think so. The LC version is just the HD collection version IIRC, so no boss mode.

Those cutscenes were always in 16:9, the games just ran in 4:3. When you make the games natively display 16:9 the black bars have no purpose and would only serve to fuck up the shot framing.

Ended up getting a cheap PS2 anyway, and a PAL version of FFIX (as well as steam, later) for stupidly cheap and was able to offload the NTSC one for more than i paid. So it all worked out in the end.

Its worth it there are some details here there that were fucked up or missing but do not detract from the overall experience.

One I particular I can remember was the shaver easter egg in MGS2 does not work correctly.

Again other than some mistakes here and there they improve on the original in every way, especially peace walker which is better in every way than the PSP version.

I've done both and I personally prefer the originals for the faster load times and I would say more consistent and authentic visuals

GZ was very playable on ps3, but I played TPP on PC

I'd imagine that the main game is a bit more taxing on the system than GZ's limited locale, despite the engine being pretty forgiving for toasters. Performance-wise it's probably okay, just that it's more noticeably uglier and emptier - especially during day time

TPP looks fine-ish for the most part, but if you use the binoculars to zoom in on far objectives it looks kinda rough.
