Got it for free so I got to playing for a few hours. It's not as bad as I thought it would be, definitely a big improvement over the first. I like how they expanded the 'hacking' you have at your disposal so you can have fun sending rival gangs or cops on random people, causing huge fights in the middle of town while you go sneaking around picking up cash in paper bags and shit. The protagonist isn't bad either, he's pretty likable and you can immediately dress him up in something respectably non-millenial. Graphics are very good too.

Having said all that, some core gameplay elements are really fucked. Shooting is dull as fuck and the driving (while weightier than WD) is still iffy as fuck. Physics in general is just generations behind GTAV and other Rockstar games' physics too.

It's a good PC port though. Shit's running great at 4k on my i5 4690 and GTX1080 spec. That said, there are some complaining about pretty rampant crashes and stutters happening to them on pretty good machines, so be wary. I think it's the usual Ubishit situation where it needs more patches.

I'm having the most fun in game just taking screenshots instead of actually playing though.

Nah, just used the camera on either the phone, the RC or the aerial drone. Just adjusted brightness on some of the shots to either make them darker or brighter. It does run pretty easily on my rig, but I'm guessing there are some who are unlucky and have it run like shit despite their hefty rig. I think the game does have a memory leak issue though, I find that sometimes shit gets way too intense for with explosions and such at one time or another and the whole game will become a stuttering mess until you restart it.

The game has issues, some fixable but most aren't for me. The shit driving is the worst of them all, for sure.

I love it enough to mess around in it like I used to do in the older GTA games, but nothing in the game is as satisfying to go through till completion as previous GTA games, including GTAIV. Which is fucking nuts and I honestly can't put my finger on why the fuck this is.

They tried to make it into a 'real-life' simulator. Instead of vigilante missions and gambling, we got yoga and tennis.

i5 2500k and a BRAND SPANKIN NEW GTX1080 here. I get 80 fps on ultra at 1440p and that's with the HUGE bottleneck that is my CPU, try not being a poorfag next time.

What's most irritating is that you don't get anything from doing them either. You just do QTEs for a bit and then wonder why the fuck you would choose to do such a thing. At least the tennis and golf are fun enough to actually sink time into.

Fuck that game, good thing there are plenty of mods on PC to add a shitload of other gameplay elements to play with. Gang wars and more heists especially.

MSAA? Don't user. Don't touch that or the TXAA. You'd probably have better results and performance just downsampling that shit or increasing pixel density to 1.5.

Fuck, really? Then downsample that shit from 1440p to 1080p. MSAA is horrible, in fact it's been horribly implemented in a lot of recent games for some reason. TXAA is even worse since it's 2xMSAA plus the temporal technique that TXAA brings to the table. Shit's a performance hog.
