Why have split screen, comfy couch co-op games disappeared? It seems less and less games are supporting it lately.
What are some games that work split screen on PC?

To cater autistic people with no friends
Mount Your Friends is good fun but gets stale pretty quickly.
Most fighting games support local vs. Streets of Rage Remix, and the Metal Slug games also support two player. Aside from those, offhand the only two player games I play on my PC are emulated, and that opens up a shitload of options.
Any mulitplayer focus indie game.
A majority of them have the bullshit statement "We want to bring back the couch multiplayer experience :^ )" which is just code for "we don't know how networking works and we're not going to bother with it."
Earth Defense Force 4.1
how does that game run on PC?
Sounds ghey
they don't see money in it compared to having to buy another copy, system and online sub. welcome to the new age™ you can be.live™ in it's 4 the players™ after all.
overcooked
stressful as fuck.
10/10 would lose all my friends again
because everyone has their own shit now
Few of my favs
Crawl - Rougelike dungeon fun. It is a vidyagame from Australia though, best played with 4 people since the AI is a shit.
SpeedRunners - 2d platformer with items, good fun but does get old. Can play online as well.
Risk of Rain - Sup Forums already gets its rocks of on this, local coop is alright.
Magicka - Pretty fun, be sure to be half drunk before playing.
>Why have split screen, comfy couch co-op games disappeared?

gamers grow up and become normies and can't play with each other
Would buy if it had online too.

Check out Overcooked, it's lit as fuck.
why have two people play the same game when you can sell two separate copies for each?
>"dude stop fucking screencheating"
>"I'm not stop being shit"
>you know he is screencheating because you are and he starts sprinting straight toward you as soon as you spawn
console gaming was a mistake

Call of Duty has splitscreen on PC.
GRIP, the new Rollcage.
I miss them too user. Used to have LAN parties with 5 buddies in high school. Shit was fun man.
>early access
No. As much as I love Rollcage, still no.
Fair enough. Won't be EA for ever.
>need to have TEH GRAFFIX
>can't render two separate screens while maintaining TEH GRAFFIX
It's really not a mystery.
Try air console, all you need is a laptop/pc with google chrome and a chromecast in your TV. It's a free gaming platform that streams to your TV and you and your friends use an Android or Apple device as a controller.
It's free and has some fun games.
