Asked last thread but don't think anyone has yet, but has someone gotten to Mastery 20 with a weapon yet? I'm curious if it's just another boost or if they do something special for each weapon.

pretty much all the frustating things of the game are elements intrinsic of the genre (roguelike) and can't be avoided by paying -just mitigated-. I don't see how microtransactions ruin it.

I was ahead of the wave so my masteries and gear are pretty good, but they definitely need to balance that shit out. A new player facing some random decked out guy with an AR isn't going to last long.

Free to play gives the game a minus 4 score, so even if it was a perfect game it becomes 6/10 by being f2p. It's purely psychological but it isn't baseless.

What you're thinking of is the counter "sweating". Which basically means that you or the enemy will be unable to dodge for a short time.

Goretastic seems to be based off of a hidden stamina system, but generally seems to proc if they get very low HP with a string of hits.

There are at least four frogs you can stomp for free shrooms right at the 1st floor

Put the gun in your left hand, then use L2 + X to reload.

I just have all the guns in my left hand for that reason since it seems like you have to have perfect timing to not just shoot the gun. Some people said to hit X then R2/L2 to have better results but my best results is left handing them.

Those frogs don't drop boom shrooms. I've been doing that and they only drop the 5 second eye watering shroom.

Crouch and grab without standing on it, or hit it with a firework shot to grill it instantly.
Grill those up then. Throw, stun, and make a break for it.

It throws poison in waves and the poison is only active for about a second. You can grab it when the vapor isnt as thick

The first floor has a really high rate of mushroom spawn. Run it a few times and you're bound to get some. If that doesn't work Crushrooms are also super effective against Haters.

Also unless they're the non-player Haters they often despawn if you leave the floor, if you honestly feel you can't beat them. That said I haven't run into one that is impossible yet.
