15 years of Total War and the only real change was the new map in Rome.

For Medieval II:
Third Age - install submod MOS to enhance it while staying as lore friendly as possible. Alternatively install submod Divide and Conquer which is less lore friendly, but fits better Total War gameplay.

Stainless Steel is perfect if you want to stay in medieval europe

Everyone says that Call of Warhammer is good, but i never managed to get it to work without crashing every 3 turns.

if you want a mod for just playing the actual game, darth mod. For both games. And empire and shogun too.

A huge downgrade from the risk style maps. Makes the AI far worse at moving armies around.

I should have mentioned I had already played the fuck out of EB and wanted to go back to Vanilla. I'm not such an autist that if a game has any historical innumeracy I deem it irredeemable shit, but it was just too much.

It's good, but personally it crashes for me so much it's too much of a motherfucker for me to invest in. And I am used to wrestling COW.

Yes. Previous releases were a bit barebones but it is definitely worth playing now.
