Stillbound

better than terraria

It's a scam.

i had fun for a few weeks but dropped it eventually. just like terraria

They somehow ended up with even less of a game than they began with.

The last update made the game relatively okay.
I still miss the actual lore of the beta though. Fuck Tiy for that.

But they might actually come out with a terraformer in an update or two, so that's neat.

It's Terraria, but better, in space, but really really shit.

When it went to an official story is when the final nail in the coffin was placed. I mean a final boss would be fine, but how the story was handled and how they got rid of the item printing system until late game was stupid.

Please don't give them your money. Pirate it.

I enjoyed it, but it's no masterpiece

Why? What did they do?

Butchered the original story and made it literally unplayable on older computers due to the 6GB RAM requirement. Same with Terraria's Sandstorms and Blizzards

Pretty fun. When I got bored of the base game I joked around on an rp server for a while. It was amusing for a few days.

>all these games requiring 4gb
>now 6 gb
Fuck fuck fuck, i don't want to change my computer and its 2 gb yet, i don't want to spend sheckel.
I'm not even multimillionaire yet.

They triggered me by fanposting about cool 10000000000000000$ lcd displays in their new office and fucking around with office toys while anybody wanted a fucking game update.

A bit miffed but I can still dick with the MIDI to abc function of SB Composer because I have the Instrument files extracted.

I wanna fuck a floran.

Did this really happen

And then, still with no update, they begin to publish another indieshit. Imagine those amounts of gulag moderating on their forums as a result of it. Fuck them all to hell.

Yeah, they got a ton of new equipment and shown it off in their office. However they are a game company, so they have many other projects to work on, Starbound is just one of those projects, remember, they have a Harvest Moon/Rune Factory type game too.

yup, also around this time, with still no update, they announced they hire additional pixel artists with their base team consisting of 2 programmers and near 10 artists as it is. Reminder the game technically was in this condition, when you could fly on the hardest lvl (lvl 10?) planet with your bare butt and a stack of dirt, cheese a mini-boss hiding behind the blocks and get an end-game weapon without grinding tier-to-tier new ore armor, which was an actual game-play.

I think it's fun, though I do get angry every time I'm reminded of all the shit they took out.

Anyway, the base game is fun but I wish there was stuff to do post-game. I made myself a comfy base and have absolutely nothing else to do except upgrade my ship and do the same cookie-cutter missions.

It became an ok game after release.
The main questline made exploring planets fun and compelling.
Having some defined enemies, levels and bosses clearly upped experience compared to the garbadge it was before.
But in the end it's still just a shallow Terraria clone albait with a shitload of more furniture and colors of dirt and obsolete mechanics.

Shit game but they made a fun RP platform on accident.

>wanted to rebuild the protectorate base and inhabit it with 'tenants'
>all the planets are shit
>still no option to terraform barren planets into the precise ecosystem that you want

I ended up building on a planet that was pretty close to what i wanted, but grew bored half way through

I will only be interested in this game if they add invasions to your colony.

If they add competing NPC settlements that grow and fight each other I will come buckets and then wake up because Chucklefuck would never make anything that good.

First and last early access game I ever bought.
