I mean in 64 I main Kirby, Melee Jiggs, Brawl Ice Climbers...in Sm4sh none of the characters I mained or subbed previously or newcomers I find fun are any good so I just play whoever I feel is fun.

We dug into this, and discovered that the "power suit" isn't really physical. It's a manifestation of Samus' confidence. Hence why she can only use stuff in Other M when Adam lets her, because in Other M she's a pussy-ass bitch, and why she can pull the suit out of the magical birdman-mirror in Zero mission. She gains new abilities and weapons because she gets more confident as she defeats her enemies and overcomes obstacles.
