Why is it, people will complain about some information being shown in a clearer way, but nobody argues for things like health bars being obscured? If hiding something behind two clicks makes a game take more skill, why not apply that to everything?

ignore reddit

Might as well show items on the heads

gg I didn't know he bought blink nice game volvo

It's called BALANCE for a reason.

You're gonna have to be more specific about "people will complain about some information being shown in a clearer way"

"git gud" neckbeards are mad that their ASSFAGGOTS game now shows information about stuns and other crowd control, and they feel it makes the game more casual
at least that's what I understand about it

>extremely useful information
>HURR DURR MUH GUAM 2 EZ NOW
>people that say this are still shit

I remember when you could use console to show distance and set it to xp range and use it to play better in the offlane. It's super useful, like why the fuck should every single player have to memorize every single stun duration and keep track of every single level, all it does is add to play cohesion and give you some clear ideas of what's happening instead of guestimating all the time, because that takes some sort of "inherent skill that separates good players from bad players"
It's not like any cunts went up 1k just because stun time and damage numbers got shown, seriously get over it

Game already showed a stun icon, its that blue circle thing in the screenshot.

again, the solution is always to ignore reddit and carry on

I wouldn't have thought reddit trended towards this kind of autism.

they basically just try to ruin everything

reddit is retarded

Reddit is a steaming pile of shit. It's the largest conglomerate of pseudointellectuals anywhere on the web.

Why are they mucking around with UI?
Shouldn't they be working on monkey kong?

6.89 is going to have a full rework of the ingame UI

Yes but it didn't show a bar with the duration of said stun. Before you had to click the stunned unit and see the stun debuff to know how long until the disable ran out

I know you are talking purely about MOBAs or multiplayer games, but I hide as much of the UI in every game I play as is possible with default game settings and mods. It's always better that way.

If you keep giving information so anyone can do this optimally, you will eventually just let you see cooldowns of items/abilities of the other team. Someone misclicks BKB? You can actually do something about it because you can just click on him and see its on cooldown.

Someone doesn't write ultimate cooldowns? Don't worry, they put a cooldown indicator for both teams up top like for spectators

This. Dumbing down the game is a one-way slide to shittiness.

You could always see how long it would take the stun to wear off, that information was already there, the only difference being that now you don't have to click to see it. The mechanics remain the same

You could never see the cooldown on enemies' spells, making them suddenly visible would be actually changing the mechanics of the game. It is not really comparable and it is just a 'slippery slope' fallacy

is it actually?

i wish VALVe would stop catering to the poorfags with 4:3 monitors so we can have a UI that doesn't take up so much fucking room

one thing i really like about other mobas like LoL and HoN is the adjustable and resizable HUD. VALVe has always sucked ass at making HUDs (they are functional, but they are always so ugly and intrusive looking)

>autistic neckbeards that actually count the seconds a stun lasts

Reminder that this next patch is gonna make Roshan timers visible (but still random) and people are going to bitch incessantly in spite of the fact that it literally won't affect anybody except sub 4k shitters who are in no position to be talking about skill caps anyway

>Not counting the seconds

it's like you don't want to be good, user

Casuals who think this is a good change please get out

only 1k shitters don't do that

no, not this, you retarded plebbit mongoloid.

>not instinctively knowing how much they last

>i wish VALVe would stop catering to the poorfags with 4:3 monitors

They don't. If you have a 4:3 monitor you actually have less vision.

Visible mana bars is the only thing left, and ally bars on top. Maybe even have enemy health/mana bars on top, but they only update if you have vision of them.
No other super casual thing will be added, other than UI scaling after the overall rework

Best thing Valve could add is a further zoom
>game already has fog of war
>somehow need to also have the camera super zoomed in

Where exactly are health bars being hidden here?

Not actually, you don't even have the time to click on the enemy hero, look at how many seconds of stun he has left and then act. You just knew them by heart and it used to make a huge difference.

I wouldn't even be mad if they add those bars 2bh.

Enemy mana bars are obscured so you can fake ability casts. This is something heroes like Kunkka do a lot.
That one's never going to change
