How are there criminal syndicates if everyone who came in the Andromeda program or whatever were frozen and came together?
Why would anyone let a person like that come with them?
I guess it wasn't all part of their plan.
Furthermore if everyone showed up in the same colony ships or whatever and they're all there for colonizing, what would a crime syndicate deal in that would give them any sort of power?
Is it drugs? Why would you bring drug users to another galaxy in your top secret program?
Is it guns? Everyone should already have guns.
Is it resources? All the planets they come across should have everything they need.
Is it medical supplies? They all came together so they should all already have access to it.
Why would the governing body of this program permit such an organization to exist?
Bioware are hacks.
Holy fuck I can't unsee it
The disarming part should be in a museum of what not to do.
We get signal
What !
I was under the impression that you were playing the immediate team as they awoke from cyrosleep. Clearly the gameplay video suggests otherwise.
How many years past the awakening is the game?
>It's a Mass Effect game without Mass Relays, The Citadel, The Geth, The Normandy, Commander Shepard, or any other of the supporting characters
...
She was a loose cannon that left the Alliance (or whatever) and made a crime syndicate.
Why the fuck would you ever bring krogan on a new start for civilization? What could they possibly do but ruin everything via tribal warfare?
>Implying the Krogan wouldn't have spitroasted her to death the moment she tried to make herself 'queen'
What gets me even more is that the Krogan don't turn Ryder's back inside out the moment she takes the gun.
kek
Out of battlehorny Krogan and life-long military Turian vets why in the FUCK is a human the ruler of the space port?
Bring only one tribe.
But Nu-Bioware will completely overlook this, don't worry.
The Plane Scene is way way way better than this shit.
And WHY did two battlehorny Krogan and a life-long military Turian allow some nobody disarm the Turian
Because she's a strong independent black woman who don't need no man.
But really, I could understand Aria due to her having the psychic stuff to fuck people up, and having loyal soldiers keeping up with her.
This shit is just stupid.
At least the plane scene has some unintentional comedic value to it.
The Plane Scene has like 7 memes, this has 1
Of Course.
Plot twist: they didnt leave for andromeda.
Source: I worked at bioware.
The Plane scene is/was standard for generic action schlock. This mass effect scene is horrible in every possible way that it could be.
This confuses the shit out of me the most. How is Pathfinder and friends going to make their way across Andromeda without the fucking relays? Bioware is going to have to pull a unicorn out of their ass to explain that.
>a meme has seven memes
Probably some gay ass shit like "Oh the ship's they arrive on have a secondary function that allow them to act as a portable mass relay to traverse The Galaxy with!"
that or Andromeda has their own Mass Relays-like structures
shit's dumb
Mass effect fields still play a role, and the Nexus is based off of the Citadel. Take a look at this video:
Why would a life-long military veteran Turian hold a gun directly to a person's chest? A person who is deliberately stupid enough to even want to speak with the seedy ganglord of the port to begin with? Was it an intimidation tactic? Ryder is fucking decked out in armor. It's a safe bet that she has her shields up and could absorb a small handful of rounds before going down. And that's granted she isn't a bad ass motherfucker that can utilize Tech Armor or one of those broken biotic experts or a Vanguard that can zip around at sanic speeds. Christ.
Exactly. Aria is a Biotic and apparently a non-shitty one. Couple that with a Krogan Warlord and a veritable army she can continuously feed credits so their loyalty is in place and you can understand how feasibly she could have an uncontested grip on Omega--even when the Suns and the other big name gangs were operating. Before Garrus and Shepard cleaned out of the last of the reserves on the planet.
Aria would've had Ryder stripped of his/her weapons and surrounded on all sides to prevent even the hint of trying something. But Ryder steals a gun and doesn't get shot dead for it. It's like a bad tabletop game.
They travel at ftl speed, but the journey takes 600 years. They spend that time in cryogenic stasis.
That's so fucking dumb though.
Your telling me that a group of people got together and said "The Reapers are coming... so what we need to do is construct a Citadel-sized Spaceship and store as many aliens on it to blast off into Andromeda!" without it ever getting brought up in the main story since it would be the most expensive, and complicated engineering feet in the history of the mass effect universe
They're speaking about traveling around Andromeda itself without mass relays.
How does that work
Why are there criminals?
...
Bioshit logic.
Guess who is writing the story??
Mac Walters, the faggot who wrote the ending of Mass Effect 3.
Andromeda's effectively a soft reboot. The whole game is the Mass Effect setting trying to escape the stench of ME3 by leaving the Milky Way.
That's Bioware for you. They wrote themselves into such a fucking small corner that they have to retcon their way out of it.
You have to remember that Krogans were the biological ultra weapon that brought down the Rachni Wars and the Citadel even has a few statues to honor them
Any expedition ship should have a Krogan clan on board as insurance to keep alien monsters in line
CoD had an inspired plane scene
youtube.com
But why are there criminals there? It's the most ordinary set up ever for missions/characters in a game that should be about exploring new territory.
It makes no sense whatsoever for there to be fucking gang lords on Pathfinder.
This is like if an episode of Star Trek had Kirk getting sent to a planet to collect space drugs for a warlord that was living out of his own spaceship.
Why the fuck would anyone tolerate some fucking monkey taking control of an entire port when they're all part of this selected group to explore the new galaxy.
There's nothing for a crime syndicate to garner power with and there's no reason whatsoever for them to be there.
but you can't do that though.
You cannot fucking soft reboot a series and cut out iconic shit and expect it to work.
If only they could escape the stench of Bioware's rotting corpse.
Presumably either
A) This takes place long enough after the migration for it to make sense for society to "normalize" and re-develop shit like that
B) The people organizing the expedition didn't have the luxury of only choosing the best and brightest and just picked whoever, so criminals came along for the ride and went back to doing what they were doing on the other side.
no
>Will this be forever known as the "Plane Scene" of vidya?
Hell no.
In fact, in terms of long-lasting meme strength there's really only one cutscene I can think of that qualifies.
There is still no need for fucking criminals, it would have been better with the old " Military leader takes absolute control for the good of the mission."
__ ____ _ ____ _________?
Leaving the known galaxy means the rule of law becomes irrelevant. Social anarchy is the natural response to any human-like species.
So we're essentially dealing with neo-Terminus Systems.
Fine. As long as I get to slay Batarians.
>B) The people organizing the expedition didn't have the luxury of only choosing the best and brightest and just picked whoever, so criminals came along for the ride and went back to doing what they were doing on the other side.
What would criminals have to start a fucking criminal syndicate though....???
You come in and have basically a shared resources to start a colony. You literally start with absolute shit.
Drugs? A stockpile of guns? Piracy with what ships? Hustling who?
Where would they go and take advantage of doing criminal shit??
>two shitfuck krogans with assault rifles readied behind her
>"disarms" turian
>scene director just completely forgets the krogan are there
>DROP IT NOW
>You first :^)
Sex trafficking and gambling
But that's not how Pathfinder would work.
Pathfinder is a ship. It would function like a naval vessel. There'd be a clearly defined set of rules and a definitive chain of command in order to stop that shit.
Did Captain Picard let his men tell him what to do and order him around to get him shit while running criminal organizations out the bottom of his space ship?
No, they didn't have time for that shit so they'd stomp it out because there were bigger, better, more important plots to deal with.
This is just lazy bullshit. How many "seedy gang lord in a bar/port/trading post" scenarios do we fucking need in the same god damn franchise.
When has bioware written anything remotely worthwhile or that made sense of late.
This is par for the course for the dumb cunt Mass Effect fans who ate the shit up before.
Are her legs okay?
Star Trek is a unique case, buddy.
No it isn't. Mass Effect uses the same naval system itself and so do most other space ship series because that's how shit gets done.
That shit wouldn't happen. Pathfinder is a legitimate mission to another galaxy. They're not gonna bring fucking pimps and drug dealers to another galaxy.
And if anyone got the idea to try they'd find themselves dead or in a brig.
We are reaching meta-meme territories, user.
Not only did she intimidated the leader of gang into standing down, she bested a fucking Turian, out of all species, by disarming him and made a couple of Krogans fumble around in fear cause of that disarm.
And we need men why again???? STRONG INDEPENDENT WOMYN
...
...
At least those Krogans are cute.
The Mass Relays were used to travel to places within the galaxy. Even so, they left the milky way before their destruction.
I wonder if there will be reaper activity in this new galaxy. If their objective was to eliminate all organic life, they could have sent probes to other galaxys to star their cicles there...
>someone actually saw this shit and thought it looked good enough to put in the game
And I thought DA: Inquisition cutscenes looked awkward. How does this keep happening?
idk...
>We're crashing this franchise...with no survivors!
/t/v/ won't
It's the animator finishes it and they just put it into the game without looking at it. Is that possible to do?
>this can't be happening! I'm in charge here!
why do you keep making this thread
>implying that catching cooties is worth keeping a pistol
>senior
EA senior devs are 25 years old. By 30 they've been cut for cheaper blood.
...
Who keeps giving bioware money?
How many years before the Reapers' destruction did they leave for Andromeda? I can see some BS about the secret to constructing mass relays being discovered when they were building the Crucible.
I think the implication is they left during the events of ME3 and before the ending.
If I recall the leaks the exact time is right after Thessia fell to The Reapers
Hold me close TONY DANZA
Her face animations hurt my brain. Fucking mocap.
Andromeda has their own Mass Relays, of course.
Quick!
Post yfw you're not going to buy this garbage
why would a turian war veteran approach someone with a gun and point it at them point blank instead of just shooting them or aiming from a distance? why aren't the krogans doing anything? why is the animation so bad?
...
...
I would guess that most shit like that in a game like this is a sequence of "canned" animations rather than something hand-built for that interaction. The animation team makes a wide variety of "generic" animations that can represent all of the actions that they think the cutscene makers might have to cover, the cutscene team uses whatever ones look the most like the interaction that they're trying to make happen, then move on, making it someone else's job to polish it if it looks like ass. Then nobody gets around to actually doing that because they're all on a deadline and have a trillion other things to build/fix/polish that someone decided was more important than that one shitty-looking animation of the main character snatching a gun out of someone's hand and it makes it to the final game (or at least a trailer) in that state.
supossedly they left during or after the events of ME2
Probably doesn't intend to shoot her and it's a combination of attempted intimidation and underestimation.
...
because she a strong human don't need no krogman
...
i dont even know what that is
Why are her tits so low?
...
No one cared who she was until she took off the bra.
The idiot and normie crowd who you would often see use the "WELL IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT DON'T BUY IT" or the snarky "OH YOU WORK AT BIOWARE THEN? WHAT WILL BE IN THE GAME THEN HUH?" cop-out excuse for everything instead of getting into a discussion.
The overly homosexual who don't play vidya for vidya and are only in it to see themselves get represented through faggotry romance.
and people with wife-battered syndrome who still haven't moved and think "just one more game, it'll will be good. I swear! right?"
Those are the people who supports and buy BioWare products. Also, SJWs don't buy games.
So it just a Universe that predicted the end of mass relays or something?
What the fuck? I don't know anything about this game but am still interested in the Mass Effect Universe kinda.
Sup Forums has amazing memes so i dont see that as a problem really
