Mega Man Legacy

Was this good? Did it emulate the originals well?

It's fine.

There are much better emulators out there

How bad is it?

Guys please this doesn't help me at all.

Think of it as a very barebone emulator whose only features are single savestate slot per game and a couple of filters
They didn't even fix anything, like slowdowns and sprite flickering

Alright thanks that helps a lot.

>They didn't even fix anything, like slowdowns and sprite flickering

1:1 emulation

If your going to get it on PC, just use an existing emulator and stop paying for roms.

That said, I did pick it up on 3DS on a sale, and it works great. Probably wouldn't get it for any of the home consoles though.

>They didn't even fix anything, like slowdowns and sprite flickering

That's not a bad thing.

It's the most faithful way to (legally) play the original games short of buying an NES and I thought the bonus stuff (OSTs, new freshly-scanned concept art, etc.) made it worth it.

>They didn't even make the emulation less accurate, how dare they

>They didn't even fix anything, like slowdowns and sprite flickering
Then that would be a remaster

It comes with less than the Anniversary Collection
9 & 10 should have been included

Just buy pic related. Its the superior game

I mean, what's bad is that they tried to bullshit people with a "we're keeping those bugs to maintain a genuine experience" talk, rather than admitting they couldn't fix it

Even if they were able to fix it, a option to turn it off/on would've been the best choice and everyone is happy

Only thing it has over just emulating is the challenge mode and only if the game is on a serious discount. I like how they tried to preserve the original games perfectly, but the option of no flickering/lag should have been there. We have save-states and turbo , no reason to not add other enhancements.

no. get megaman collection for ps2.

slowdowns and shit is because they used a shit emulator. nit even news had these slowdowns

why not just buy pic related

>Gamecube version
Do not.

*not even NES had some of the slowdowns

is what I meant to write.

whats wrong with gamecube version
is there something I don't know

I don't know why people are all for the GCN version when the buttons were backwards.

PS2 version is better.

Are you retarded? Mega Man Anniversary collection was a remaster without bugs/slowdown. Legacy Collection was always intended to be 1:1. It's not that they couldn't fix it like your retarded ass thinks.

Whoa buddy, why are you sperging out at me?

As someone who owns the NES cartridges, the NES games absolutely have that amount of slowdown.

>buy
>lag central
I'd rather emulate

A shoots and b fires, its swapped.

Because you are an ill informed idiot who spouts falsehoods as fact.

considering how the gamecube's buttons are that sounds like hell

I do too.

some people online have mentioned much more slowdown than even playing straight from the cart on an nes.

Its just not worth dealing with slowdown at this point, and if it is or is not worse than the originals.

Ps2 has the best D-pad and button layout, only problem is that the component video is a real piece of shite. Xbox has the best component video but the atrocious d-pad kills it.

>mfw playing this on a Classic Controller via Nintendont
Still, what the fuck were they thinking switching it like that

Calm your autism, this is not how you talk to people or start conversations
And those aren't falsehoods
They've claimed it was a brand new engine, when it's literally just a shoddy emulator

test

>>/out/
>>/lgbt/

If you got an NES to gamecube controller adaptor though, it would be perfect since the Gamecube has stellar picture quality.

Wait no, it was a Dualshock 3. Now don't I look stupid right now

>A shoots and b fires
duuuude...

B jumps* godamnit i'm going to bed.

Sup Forums is pic related any good

Has 2 exclusive boss fights and a remixed stage music. I don't know

It comes with challenges, which are pretty fun especially when it gets to the boss rushes
Really you should just buy it for that

Yeah but it's not worth 300 dollars, you can get the cucked ps1 version instead.

It astonishes me how people who complain that the emulation and input delay on Legacy is poor but then turn around and recommend Anniversary, which has even worse emulation.

it's great but Megaman V is glomp'd for some reason

>$300
>Check eBay
>It is
>I bought it 3 years ago for $15 at a garage sale

Then why the fuck are you asking us how is it? Just fucking play it you helpless ninny

I bought this when it was on sale on the sShop for $7. Decent collection which has 1-6, but I prefer Anniversary Collection since it also has 7, 8, and the 2 arcade games.

On what planet would you ever believe I'm the same guy

pepsiman has a lot of cleaning up to do.

The 3DS version is the worst option if he's going to buy it.

It's a waste. No point to it when you could just emulate or play the NES versions.

The Complete Works versions are objectively the best way to play MM1-6.

>fixes slowdown and sprite flickering
>adds quick weapon switching to every game
>no input lag like in Anniversary Collection
>extra goodies not included in AC like unlockable parts to make for some fun, unique playthroughs like a part that gives you a super jump or makes you move at double speed

Pretty sure the purpose of it was the NES games collection.
