They're okay

The HEX battle system was fine I think.
I think the bigger problem was the removal of being able to control multiple characters in the field and use different tools.
The stories for 4 and 5 were also borderline garbage.
4's overworld map was just a map that you selected locations from, and 5's was just a bunch of interconnected areas.
I'm easier on 5 because it had a fucking monowheel.

Hexagon was fine. I enjoyed the combat.

My problem was with the storylines really.

What the hell else could you be talking about when you're mentioning hexagons in the context of Wild Arms games?

alter code F is fine, most of the hate comes from changes to story elements and puzzles being a whole lot simpler and less convoluted. If you already have a copy you don't have to worry about ripping to get it on 2 discs because esr won't patch it correctly, so play it on ps2, for sure.

It has more content, more characters, more chapters to the story, better exposition, and of course, it looks better. It's about on par with wa4 in terms of graphics.

I think 1 and Altercode F are just as good as eachother. There are things each do better than the other one, but both are good.

Agreed, in principle there's nothing stopping Mobile from being fucking awesome. Monster Hunter Freedom Unite under iOS being the archtypical example of mobile done exactly right, it's the best version, plays beautifully, LAN works great, zero f2p bullshit, and they even gave it full controller support. I played it with some bros for the first time in ages on a trip just using a DS4 I already had an it was still a great time even if it lacks some of the nice stuff newer ones have got.

But regrettably the garbage lazy ports or worse, active downgrades (like the final fantasy ports) massively outnumber the brilliant ones. It's not impossible but it's rare. And I guess f2p is used so much because it does generate cash because most of the general population are fucking retards who won't pay even cheap prices for great games but will pay out the ass for cheats or lotto tickets or shit.

Symphogear would actually make a great vidya now that I think about it, give it either god hand beat 'em combat, zone of the enders type fast mecha combat or alternatively good fighter combat. And of the styles could work, I can see symphogear slotting into ZoE 2 so well it's scary.Scary good.

But it is getting a vidya user :^)

Hell, bad translations extended well into the PS2, so this isn't a shock.
