So Sup Forums, which of these do I pick up for Winter Break?

So Sup Forums, which of these do I pick up for Winter Break?

DQVII Remake, TMS#FE, Pokemon Moon or Bravely Default?

I think they're all worth playing eventually but I would rank them as such.

DQ > TMS > Sun > BD

Bravely Default has the best battle/job system (the job system is basically that of FFT/FF5). The writing is shit though. Artstlye and especially music are awesome. There is a free demo on the eshop, if you want to check it out first.

Honestly I think the new pokemon is the most worth your time out of those. I found it to be a breath of fresh air that the series needed. Although I thought the first 2 islands were pretty shit, everything afterwards was a lot of fun, the 3rd island in particular was where things really became enjoyable.

#FE is the best game in there.

VII is easily the best overall and is long as fuck, #FE is love or hate and really depends on how you can stomach the blatant pop idol jerkoff, BD is solid though the final stretch may piss you off, SM was somehow disappointing even though I expected something poor.

Of those I've only played Pokemon and BD but I really enjoyed both of them. Easily 50+ hours of content in BD, and depending how interested in post game content you are in Pokemon then much more than that estimation.

BD > DQ7 > SuMo > #FE

Bravely or #FE they're both top tier.

I tried really hard to like DQ but couldn't get into it.

Pokemon is more Pokemon, you know if you're in the mood for that sorta shit.

If you can stomach anime bullshit #FE is super solid, one of my favorite JRPS since the original Bravely.

Wait until Christmas and you'll have JRPG of the year to play.

Sun, the superior version

Edea used to be my waifu, but Bravely is shit.
Get SuMo because it has my new waifu, Lillie.

bravery default. Have you play the 3DS FE games? they're good too.

All pretty shit or lacking imo. Better get SMT4 or SMT4:A if you've already played that.

But if question stands only among those then:
DQVII-BD-SuMo-#FE

Pokemon>DQ>TMS>BD

I love me some Dragon Quest but 7 has a lot of moments where it drags. Pokemon I was expecting to hate but got a lot of enjoyment out of it despite how linear it was.

pokemon is just another rehash and is not designed for you if you're over the age of 16.

DQ7 is classic jrpg goodness.
Bravely Default classic jrpg goodness with a modern twist.

#FE is a heavily stylized game that you may or may not enjoy.

>Whining about Pokémon being a rehash and for kids
>While unironically praising DQ7 and BD

This is hilarious.

Everything but Braverly Default. It's literally worse than FF13

Get The Division, it's the best RPG I've played in ages.

To be fair, BD is comparitively refreshing after all the shitty settings and awkward real-time combat FF has had after X-2.

It really isn't.

DQ 7 remake and #FE would last you the longest if time spent is a thing.

Pokemon or dragon quest.

Bravely default is shit and TMS doesnt hold up past a few dungeons.

>awkward real-time combat FF has had after X-2.
You mean the same ATB that the series has had since 4 (minus X in between)? It's the same ATB system with some differences (like every single ATB FF).

Only XV is actually action.

Bravely default is really good. The brave system is awesome and the characters and atmosphere are neat. You can even challenge the final boss early like chrono trigger.

yes yes, very good....

HOWEVER

When the game starts looping don't fall into the trap I did and fight all the profession bosses again. I did it thinking I would unlock a new profession or something else fun, but all you get is a bit of background on the bosses.

This, but if you've played DQ7 previously just go for #FE instead.

Everything about Bravely is complete horseshit other than the job system and ok music.

Plot, dialogue, most of the characters, art, too easy (even compared to FF standards), repetitive ending.

TMS isn't as bad but still isn't good.

If you like Pokémon, get SuMo.

Otherwise, DQVII.

Pokemon Moon for on the go

TMS #FE to satisfy any SMT cravings on the big screen, if you want a portable SMT game, get SMTIV:Apocalypse.

Pokemon Moon is literally only game on that list that didnt put me to sleep. also recommend SMTIV and SMTIV A.

Pokemon

Pirate all of them and buy whichever you think deserves your money the most.

>You mean the same ATB that the series has had since 4 (minus X in between)? It's the same ATB system with some differences (like every single ATB FF).
Nope, ATB is fundamentally turn-based, just because you have a cooldown period between turns doesn't change that. 12 onwards isn't, since you can move characters in real time.
>Only XV is actually action.
False, there's FFA/Mana series, Crystal Chronicles, Crisis Core, Type-0, etc.

Moon > DQ7 > BD

Don't even pick up that abomination claiming to be a crossover known a Hashtag FE

Cold Steel 1 and 2

Dragon Quest or #FE
didn't like the other two
