that bigfoot doesn't exist

I don't know

You can hold E to drink water continously in Fallout/Elder Scrolls

the phrase "never knew" implies that you now know the thing you never knew. if i had asked "what are some things you still don't know", only then that would be a reasonable answer

What, proof?

Diablo 2 has a day and night cycle. Found out yesterday and haven't stopped noticing it now.

...

I never knew WHERE I CAN FIND ALL OF BLUE COINS BECAUSE THE GAME HAS FUCK ALL OF TIPS OR INDICATIONS
FUCK SUNSHINE
It still is my favorite game, though.

Ah, but did you know that if you do it continuously for 1000 sips that you die?

Even if the water is clean / no rads?

>Ah, but did you know that if you do it continuously for 1000 sips that you die?

bullshit nigga

Do you want to Save and Continue or Continue without Saving

I didn't know in Zelda: Link to the Past that you could use the Cane of Somaria in the ice dungeon to hit that fucking switch you normally have to travel around the whole dungeon to activate. Thanks Mike and James!

How QPUs work

You're that kid aren't you

dropping more sacred knowledge

NO, FUCK THIS SHIT
Save and Continue.
I like hearing theses satisfying sounds when you select the option.

You can pull on the feet of Turtle Rock and get some rupees out of them. There are a few other places, like one of the statues in front of the Dark Pyramid, where you can do the same.

When you press the button to start dashing with the Dash Boots, you can use the d-pad to change directions before you take off. You can use this to dash into a wall you are standing next to, rather than grabbing it (which is what happens if you face the wall and push the button).

What the fuck

In OoT, in the dodongo's cavern, you know that room where you fight the lizard dudes? well there's a lavafall in that room, and hidden within is a small encove with a recovery heart. blew my mind.

...

i read about why some creatures still blink when the menu is paused, but i dont know if that was intentional behavior or if it's just a bug. it's kind of cool if that was the behavior they wanted, to me it makes the game feel like it's alive because the creatures are still doing things even when the game is supposed to be paused.

Stop.

You can dash through the rolling barrels in the china stages

...

Wew, these are new to me.

Doesn't the game tell you how many you have in each world?
It's still bullshit that some of them can only be gotten in one mission, and there's no way to know which one the ones you're missing are in

Some cool secrets from Mega Man 7

>When you are going to fight with Freeze Man, DON,T MOVE. He will move his hand telling you to move first!!

>In Shade Man stage when you fight with th giant robot pumpkin don,t shoot at its weak point (the small pumpkin inside) instad, shoot at the big pumpkin eyes. You will discover a secret passage with robotic werewolves

>You can transform the cloudy platforms from Cloud Man level into storm clouds if you shoot Cloud Man weapon at those clouds. And you can freeze those clouds if you shoot Freeze Man weapon at them. It,s basically useless (even dangerous) but it is really cool

>You can fight against ProtoMan. And he will give you his shield if you win. Look at some guide to find where you must look for Proto. I dont remember...

>There is a Battle Mode for 2 players. Just put this Password

1415

>There is a secret room in Spring Man level with a Super Bolt. If you gave it to Auto, all his products will have a 50% discount!!

...

recently found out that you can jump off of the surface of the water in mega man x. slightly mind blown

WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS

I legitimately never knew that 1up existed.

Parallel Universes.

That's rad

>cool secrets
Fuck off carlos

Can you call it a HUD if it's a floating object?
Seems inherently flawed implementation.

...

In Hitman Blood Money, you can carry guns at the redneck wedding without raising suspicion.

This game man

I've accumulated hundreds of hours on Dooms first episode and I have yet found most of the secrets.

A real HUD is a real object as well. It doesn't come from video games.

On the subject of 1Ups, it's interesting to note that 1Ups in SM64 will chase you relentlessly, even pursuing you through walls and warps.

...

in super mario 64, there's a secret 121st star that makes mario gay

>Doesn't the game tell you how many you have in each world?
It does, but the problem is it doesn't tell you how many of them are there to be found in one each course. 30 of them are in one course, 20 in Delfino Plaza, and 10 inside of Corona Mountain.

When fellow survivors shout "Shoot the tongue!" you can actually shoot the tongue. It has a set amount of health per difficulty and frees your ally if you do enough damage.

Good for situations where you can't see the Smoker and your teammate is at range.

Additionally, when a survivor is freed from a Smoker by bashing the survivor or Smoker, the Smoker has a 10s cooldown before they can pull again. If you shoot the tongue and destroy it, it's a whopping 30s cooldown.

Chainsaws can also cut tongues off yourself if you are cutting in the same direction as it.

Why would you spend extra CPU time calculating an extra model view matrix instead if just rendering a screen quad

>When fellow survivors shout "Shoot the tongue!" you can actually shoot the tongue.
It's almost like they wanted you to know

In Resident Evil (2002) you cannot shoot at Forrest in "one dangerous zombie" mode. He explodes, game over.

BUT. He can be hurt by other crimson heads that are chasing you. If he is in the way when they swipe for you, he will go down like a regular zombie would. I have not confirmed if they can actually kill him tho.

I know I know, I just never thought to try. You could do the same thing in the first game too apparently, however l4d1 survivors don't shout it out.

It's just that I never bothered to try and neither did other players / bots will never attempt it, so I just never knew.

that you could kill the fucking plant boss in wind waker with the magical forest water

you can walk while in blade mode

I only recently found out there's a cow tipping mechanic in Fallout: New Vegas.
Might be in 3, never cared enough to find a way to play it to check.
But if you walk up to a brahmin and hit the use key, you'll knock it the fuck over.

Gonna need some proof buddy

that's a fanmade mod.

kek.

It was in F3 too.
I remember it bugging out a lot on F3 though, like the brahmins actually making the same sound as the metal buckets when they fell over.

>mfw I actually knew this before everyone else figured it out
>mfw I actually thought it was widely known
It made sense since it's purified water on a fully poisoned place. I thought it was common knowledge so I didn't give a fuck about it.

youtu.be/q20zaaHbtWg?t=19s

Reminds me of something you would pull in a High School play.

Holy shit

Is this a new forced meme?

This was so exploitable. In the zandatsu QTEs such as cutting Mistral's pole, the game goes in super slow motion. If you choose to walk around then, you're basically moving at super speed. Great if you have infinite blade mode.

You can save Solaire.

how weird, usually games overlay the stuff on the screen and use cameras, instead they just placed everything in the 3D scene

...

You can tell if the Area: 51 arcade machines are rigged by trying the "alien mode" cheat. You accomplish the cheat by only shooting the first 3 good guys that appear. If you die before you can accomplish it, the machine owner cranked up the difficulty to get more quarters out of you.

Had no idea one game I spent money on was made by a team of sjws. I feel so unclean now.

it doesn't work on any other enemy plant though.

neat

It blew my mind when i found out Somewhat recently that in Pokemon G/S/C every Friday there's a Lapras in Union Cave in the way legendaries are and even more so since i've had my fair share of hours in Gen 2.

this one is actually pretty fucking obscure the only place i heard it from is some polish youtube video.
there is a secret letter from the developers in gothic 2 which thanks the players and such.
its pretty impossible to find though its hidden on top of some tree behind the huge orc fence and you can only find it by going into free cam mode and going up there.
i swear to you its legit and not that kid bullshit.

I only recently found out that It only requires half an A press to jump, not a full one.

It kinda makes sense since they live in all sorts of places. Think something like deku babas are weeds so they grow everywhere while kalle demos (or whatever) is something that only grows in a specific place with specific care. The others are more adaptable and even live on forest haven. I don't know, I just thought it made sense to me back then.

That's pretty neat

That's just stretching it to make it fit.

What do you think "never" means exactly?

I didn't find out you could control the hover bomb in Ratchet 2 until recently.

there was an extra boss for this game

I had to play Mario 64 again for the second time this year because of that shit.
I also didn't know you could kill those snowmen by running around them like with the big eyes.

...

post this guys youtube channel

i'm afraid sometimes words are used to mean something other than their literal definition

Like I said, it made sense to me, so it just didn't seem all that surprising.

What? How?

What do you think knew implies?

WHAT THE FUCK

You can call Poison by taunting and holding up with Hugo in Third Strike. Also you can control Sean ball when the round starts.

>Raiden can move in stopped time
TOKIYOTOMARE

sans is ness from undertale

Is this a Jojo reference?

it moonrune for stop time, yeah
bit more subtle than saying za warudo I guess.

What did google tell you?

>recently found out that you can jump off of the surface of the water in mega man x
Interesting. I did not know that.

I did know:
>Storm Tornado will one-shot the subs in Launch Octopus's stage, if you get right next to the orb on top and fire it point-blank.
>Fire Wave can instantly kill the tanks in Armored Armadillo's stage, if you strike the tank on the arm joint with it. This is easiest to do with a charged Fire Wave, since it will travel through it and eventually hit the right spot. Although if you are behind the tank, then you can hit the right spot with just dashing at it from behind.
>Boomerang Cutter will chop off Flame Mammoth's trunk.
>Boomerang Cutter will chop off Launch Octopus's tentacle arms.

Isn't the lava fall the room where you fight your first batch of lizards?

In Conkers Bad Fur Day and the xbox remake on the Spooky chapter in the mansion, there is a lone villager running around the dining hall area. He runs past all zombies and if you follow him, he gets to the spiked pit area and jumps in.

The entire GSC game was based around timing and days of the week. I guess you didn't play when it came out because the Friday Lapras was pretty well known. I seem to recall there were also a set of tough trainers who only appeared on specific days of the week, which you could find in various places.

How do you do it? I knew that it wasn't possible and was only in the concept of Metal gear solid rising Kojima showed a fuckload of time ago

>the Friday Lapras was pretty well known
Yeah but this was in the era where it was well known you could move the truck in red and blue to find mew.
A good portion of v isn't old enough to be adults and differentiate between the two rumors, but aren't young enough where red/blue are "previous gen".

Kiddy Kong can bounce off water surfaces 3 times in a row.

...
