destiny isn't even good though

whew... whoa... really,,,, makes ya think......... dont it

>inb4 poorfag assblasted Warfag players

>destiny
>good
kys

meh to good game with stupid devs
>also mainly multiplayer game on console
why is ps+ a thing just kill psvita and ps3 servers if you can't do multiplayer for free

literally every sony console exclusive.

keep dreaming, guys

>current year
>not enjoying PSO Reincarnated

I played it on PS3 and enjoyed it, would like it if they ported it / bring the next installment to PC as well

t. PC gamer who had last gen's consoles but wasn't interested in this gen

It's just not good.

...

Halo 5 is better than Destiny.
It also doesn't cost $100+.

I haven't played year 3 but year 2 was trash, dunno how the "Taken King is good" meme gained traction there was nothing good about it. Better than year 1 is not an accomplishment,

Fucking this.

The main reason I went PC is because this console gen sucks fucking ass.

but every MMO does over half of those things

best mmo on the market.

youtube.com/watch?v=aDMsGl_XxTk

Destiny 2 does have a real shot at being on PC since they finally dropped support for the previous generation consoles.

This.
>Literally mad that no PC games would ever get as much love

I don't know anything about destiny in order to hate it

the only thing I wouldn't like is raiding because I hate raiding in MMOs

What is Bloodborne

No it's not. Balance was all over the place, patches took forever to come out, they overpriced the small amount of content they made, and did not listen to the player base at all.
t. Year one player

>and did not listen to the player base at all.
Literally the one undeniably good thing Bungie has done with Destiny is ignored the playerbase entirely.

The players have no clue what makes a game good, they just want gimmedats

D2 is in development for PC.

Wew lad
Destiny is the worst PS4 game I've played

My friend bought a PS4 for bloodborne and this, said it was an extremely boring Borderlands that you got tired of forever after a month.

His PS4 was collecting dust but now it's getting games so we'll see how it turns out.

destiny was garbage and still is
Movie game
Garbage
Never played wouldn't know

Actually I hate it because it tries to be good and I tried to like it since I loved Halo but it fucking sucks.

In the end it promises a lot but delivers none. It's a grind and its main focus is to be a grind, not offer an exciting narrative-packed co-op strategy lite FPS. There is no fucking narrative. There is very interesting lore, but discarded and wrapped in a stupid grimoire system that exists outside of the game. It's also very sloppy and it kinda rips off Warhammer in several ways. Bungie failed with it.

>Garbage
It's the best AAA arena shooter in years.

>Never played wouldn't know
AND YOU NEVER WILL KEK

Except I have a PS4 and Bloodborne user, I just haven't had the time to play it yet. Been on my backlog for nearly a year now. Warthunder is more interesting

>Player base asks for hordelike game mode
>Lol here's PoE with garbage rewards, boring gameplay unless a burn was on, and this will be the "raid" for HoW
PoE was a shit attempt at making a horde game mode, which I honestly don't understand how you can fuck up. Not to mention that later they just upped levels and added a boss and called it brand new content.

FFXV
God of War
The Order 1886
Uncharted
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Bloodborne
GTA5(before it came to PC)
The last of us
RDR
etc etc

thats good news. when is it supposed to come out?

>Warthunder is more interesting
Why?

>It's a grind and its main focus is to be a grind, not offer an exciting narrative-packed co-op strategy lite FPS

"Grind" is a meme. Grinding is gameplay.

We would play the same map and gamemode all day in UT99 because it was FUN. But now people need their fucking rewards and loot so now its a grind?

What kind of shit is that? The journey > The destination.

It's main focus is to be a fun shooting game. Go read a book or watch a movie if you want an exciting narrative-packed experience. The narrative only exists to frame the gameplay. The less time/resources you spend framing the gameplay the more time/resources you can spend on the actual gameplay.

tl;dr fucking casuals need to go back

>implying PC gamers want games designed for babies that still suck on their console pacifiers because they still can't understand that consoles are for children that aren't trusted with a real PC
PC gamers grew up and understood that it was time to graduate to a real gaming machine. I'm sorry you're all too dumb to understand that, consolebabies.

Timestamp first you dumb lying pcuck.

I like planes

>PC gamers grew up

so pso is comeplete shit then

I'm at work avoiding responsibilities, can't.

>Don't hate a game
>Just consider it mediocre

Learn the difference you fagget.

Shooting bullet sponges in destiny isn't fun.

>the bulletsponge meme
git gud

This is literally the equivalent of people crying about hitboxes/dodging in souls threads

>sepiks prime isn't a bullet spong
What am I supposed to "git gud" at?
It's piss easy, I just stand around shooting his weak spot until he dies. Boring.

This is a pretty decent troll if it is one. But I'm going to play devil's advocate and assume it isn't.

>"Grind" is a meme. Grinding is gameplay.
Grinding is when a game's repetitive elements become easily noticeable. Every game is repetitive to a degree, but some games do a much better job than others either nullifying the effect or distracting the player from the effect for a good length of the game.

Destiny feels like a grind like 3 hours in though. When you start up the expansion content, it gets better again, but devolves into a grind after 2-3 hours once again. Almost every boss is a bullet sponge grind. 60-70% of the game easily feels like this. I guess if you're an idiot who likes bad games like MMOs you won't mind this but for everyone else it's very noticeable very quickly.

>We would play the same map and gamemode all day in UT99 because it was FUN. But now people need their fucking rewards and loot so now its a grind?
PVP arena shooters are a bit different because playing with other people creates potential for variation. I played a ton of Halo multiplayer, but I only played like 5 hours of Firefight in ODST because it was waves of AI and that got repetitive for me fast. Destiny's pvp is okay, not that amazing but I understand if you are just defending that, what I'm mostly complaining about is the rest of the game.

Regardless, you should speak for yourself here. Aside from a select few exceptions I've never put in more than like 30 hours into a PVP multiplayer game. Because even with players causing variation, they are repetitive and contained in the same maps over and over.

>The journey > The destination.
But that's exactly the issue with Destiny. The destination is what's at the forefront. The journey is fucking boring. People are just playing for randomized loot drops, like they do in MMOs, which is why those games are crap.

1/2

>the first boss of the first dungeon of the first planet in the first year is simple

Be not undergeared/leveled and use heavy weapons on him and he's down in like 50 seconds

2/2

>Go read a book or watch a movie if you want an exciting narrative-packed experience. The narrative only exists to frame the gameplay.
>Go away if you want a narrative. By the way, narrative has an influence on gameplay and I just explained how.

You are right, narrative exists to frame the gameplay. That is a HUGE thing though that should not just be discredited like you just did to it. There really is a significant difference between sitting in an empty black and white mesh room fighting stick figures and going room to room with no reason for anything using a combat system from like Ninja Gaiden, and then actual Ninja Gaiden which shows the full environments, Ryu Hayabusa, the ninjas you're fighting, the weapons you're using instead of just hit boxes, etc. along with the cinematics in between that point out what it is you're doing. That is huge. Narrative, story, premise etc. are all core aspects of how we experience a game. Destiny's experience is very shallow and uninspiring unlike Halo 1-3's which was awesome in comparison and which is one of the reasons why Destiny was such a disappointment to me.

2017

lmao

>needs proof someone on a chinese frog breeding forum has a ps4 as well as a pc
sounds like you need a hobby user

Pic related is going to be GOTY of 2017/2018 but still going to get shat by PCkeks.

But it is on PC OP

>you play as a character who was previously a secondary unplayable protag
nope.jpg

Don't know why people enjoy shit like that. It pretty much kills immersion, unless you looked at the first game like a movie. You were supposed to be Joel. How can I play the role of Ellie now that I formed a relationship with her through the role of Joel?

inb4 you call me a nerd or self-insert loser or whatever. It's fucking video games. We're all nerds and losers, but immersion is what they are supposed to be about and what I think Naughty Dog intends to achieve first and foremost with their games hence why they are so cinematic in design.

>unless you looked at the first game like a movie.
How could you not?

>exposition

This is coming from someone that loved Uncharted 1 and 2

the division attempted to be a destiny type game, but I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as destiny

in my opinion, the gunplay in destiny was much more satisfying than in the division, I also enjoyed the art direction / setting much more in destiny

How good is Rise of Iron?
I haven't played Destiny since July.

If you like Destiny you'll like it, if you don't you won't

Of course, I also have 600 hours in Destiny

I still can't believe they haven't released Destiny on PC. That's a huge missed opportunity.

It's literally warframe but worse. Worse grinding, worse combat, worse advancement. And hell, warframe is available on ps4/xbone, literally no excuse except your buyer's remorse.

The gunplay in destiny is incredible though

>Tfw finally Uninstalled it because I had to make space for other games
Finally free of this shit.

The fucking consolefags hate it. Bungie delayed the sequel because they're worried people won't fall for the samething and threw together Rise of Iron just to keep them at bay.

You don't do that if you have faith in your product.

Updates made it goid user. Forge is heading in a more CoD meets Garry's Mod direction. It's pitiful that wasn't the case at launch but credit where credit is due.

t. PCfag who plays it at a friends house

Destiny is legitimately a boring game. I dumped 30 hours into it with TTK and I think I'm going to trade it in for peanuts for the Crash remakes.

Destiny might have it problems, but name me other 3 other loot based FPS shooter RPGs with elements such as raiding involved. (Can't mention any of the Borderlands games)

Go.

I sunk about 1000 hours into Destiny and it was probably my best gaming experience, ever. When everything was new in that game, it was so good, and it was amazing to play with friends for about a year after.

It's a shame Sup Forums hates this game. If Destiny 2 releases on PC with a big community, it would be one of the best things ever for me gaming wise.

That's the one place it excels, but it doesn't utilize any verticality that makes spess guns fun.

I know the game was cancelled then trashed and remodeled after warframe 3 years in. Which is why I don't understand why they didn't just copy its parkour and gliding systems, which was one of the key reasons people like it as a loot'n'shoot: you could actually move fast.

That being said, having move-locked melee combat was the worst idea Bungie had in terms of combat design. No fight momentum whatsoever.

>loot based FPS shooter
It's fucking trash

Damn the excitement.

>Raids, the most fun part of Destiny, can't be played with randoms

Into the trash it goes

how is warframe? do they try to jew you because its a f2p game?

worth getting into?

The game it copied beats it in every single way.

Jesus Christ are Destinyfags so in denial they still defend this shit?

The game was the biggest ripoff in gaming history. You could almost buy a whole console for the price you had to pay for every piece of DLC at release and that's not uncluding microtransactions. The game was so miserably broken Bungie threw out the leveling system for a new one. They not only recast Ghost, they fucking retroactively altered his lines to erase Dinkelbot. When The Taken King was released they fucking treated it like a brand new game release with special console bundles and everything. It's a fucking DLC, why do that for a fucking piece of DLC? Because it wasn't, Destiny is a beta, the actual game is called The Taken King.

i own destiny and it was boring.

Wait a fucking moment. Destiny has an item shop?

Several item shops. At multiple locations.

But is it cosmetics only or what

No, factions sold gear. Some of it pretty good.

So is it pay to win?

They mean item shops. As in NPC shops you can buy gear from, you dumb ass.

only fucking thing you can spend real money on is dance moves like the carlton.

>name me other 3 other loot based FPS shooter RPGs with elements such as raiding involved

Just because it's unique doesn't make it good.
In the end it's just a grindfest composed of mediocre quests, like The Division.

Item shop means cash shop. Never played mmo before? Why would I ask about NPC shop? That's retarded.

>but name me other 3 other loot based FPS shooter RPGs with elements such as raiding involved
Warframe for one.

The business model is better because your non-desired loot can be traded for in-game currency that can be used to buy any item/cosmetic.

The loot system is better because you can ACTUALLY TRADE with other players for items and there's not a 30-minute mission for a chance at a rare - a CHANCE.

The party system is better because your loot table actually gets variety when you have more people running, without detracting from viable single player.

The story is better because it doesn't rely on patchwork DLC transactions for content you should have already received for your buying price - and it updates for free.

The performance, graphics, and runtime is better because it wasn't designed for inferior hardware at its base.

The progression is better because you're not inherently finished with the game because you got the best loot, because mod attunement actually allows damage/mitigation variety; instead of giving you only one playstyle per weapon.

The gameplay is all-around smoother because you're allowed to actually move fast. Borderlands 1 was okay in its pace because it was shortcell based, not huge empty areas like Destiny.

I can continue if you'd like.

>he thinks Destiny or PSO are mmos

They aren't mmos faggot, they are instance based dungeon runners.

You can purchase anything with in-game currency, which is easily obtainable because you can always use the market to sell loot for it.

The game lives off whales.

to bad the gunplay and mechanics are shit.

>You can purchase anything with in-game currency
thats good

>game lives off whales
what do you mean?

Holy fuck. Tell me you aren't being serious right now. Where exactly I said it is mmo?

>Never played mmo before?

So you really are retarded. Read the sentence before. Then think about it again. Really hard.

Not him but the rate of exchange between dollaroos and platinum (in-game currency) is pretty high, at about 370 for $20 (370 can get you a good prime frame and prime wep). The exchange cost is so high that most people buying currency are doing it at 1000+, because they can spare it. In online games, they're called "whales" because they have so much money just to throw at whatever.

>he claims item shops are MMO only
>thinks destiny has a Pay to Win item shop
>this means he thinks Destiny is a MMO
>Thus PSO is also a MMO

Like I said, you are a dumb fuck.

so being that people are willing to spend that much, is it a big grind to get anywhere in the game without spending money?

>called whales
They are called buyfags, newfag.

>Can't mention this game that's totally exactly what I said just because I said so

The usual way I grind, I can get about 100-120 plat from void relic, atayan, sortie, quests etc, so it's not too awful.

The one thing I will warn you about its that the crafting system is timelocked behind plat; even though it's cheap to bypass it can be a turnoff.

Specified whales because they're buyfags x10

>The usual way I grind, I can get about 100-120 plat from void relic, atayan, sortie, quests etc, so it's not too awful.
how long does that take you to do usually?

and in regards to the crafting, is that the main way you gear up or is there loot too?
