It's a mixed bag. The fillers had some good and bad. What bothered with the fillers is how they kept using the stupid tea ceremony martial artists over and over and over again, they weren't that interesting, that arc was only important because it showed how Ranma can learn new techniques real quickly. I liked some other filler, like how they actually used Tsubasa who in the manga vanished after his first appearance and didn't show up again until the very end, thought that was a huge waste of a funny character.

N64 games absolutely did age. Ocarina of Time runs at like 20 fps while Goldeneye drops to single digits. PS1 at least had more 2D games that ran well

If anything, the first two seasons of the anime improved on the manga. Then both the manga and anime devolved into Happosai and Hawaiian crap. Neither one is good after that. They also completely ignored the best girls. Takahashi shouldn't have even made it a harem if all she wanted to do was focus on Akane.

Yet 20fps was pretty bad in the time it was released too, and people didn't just accept it because of the graphics, which were technically nothing impressive at the time either. That's because OoT's physics and combat engine was build around this limitation. Input still samples at 60hz and there's barely any situation where it drops. If for some reason you still can't stand a framerate equal to Bloodborne despite being rock-solid, there's the remastered 3DS version which upped it to 30.

The premise is fantastic and the initial set of characters is -almost- flawless.

If it was 1/3 of the lenght and only focused on the initial set of characters it could have been a golden classic.
As of now, it's sustained solely on the basis of nostalgia, luring newcomers into a trap of disapointment and ruined expectations.

It depends. Some genres of games have only gotten better with time while others (like RPGs) very clearly peaked back in the 90's and 2000's

Outclassed, a good example should be SF2, hyper fighting and ST are ways ahead of vanilla SF2 and maybe CE, making that game not worthy playing unless you want to explore it deeper.
RE1 is also outclassed by the remake.

The problem I have is when a game supposedly "aged", but rather the genre at large went into a different direction with a different audience in mind and then retards that were never a fan of these types of games in the first place use the word as a leveraging tool to bash features they personally have never liked that may well be used by a modern game to great effect.

Hearing the difference now isn’t the reason to encode to FLAC. FLAC uses lossless compression, while MP3 is ‘lossy’. What this means is that for each year the MP3 sits on your hard drive, it will lose roughly 12kbps, assuming you have SATA – it’s about 15kbps on IDE, but only 7kbps on SCSI, due to rotational velocidensity. I started collecting MP3s in about 2001, and if I try to play any of the tracks I downloaded back then, even the stuff I grabbed at 320kbps, they just sound like crap. The bass is terrible, the midrange…well don’t get me started. Some of those albums have degraded down to 32 or even 16kbps. FLAC rips from the same period still sound great, even if they weren’t stored correctly, in a cool, dry place. Seriously, stick to FLAC, you may not be able to hear the difference now, but in a year or two, you’ll be glad you did.
